The only thing I could gather was that while they were together, he always kept his feelings bottled up. He was with the guy two years and couldn't say "I love you." While I understand that his past had a lot to do with it, did his boyfriend know about it? Did he get why those were hard words for him to say? I don't agree with cheating, but breaking up would have been on the table for sure.

You can put years and years into a relationship even if the one you love stays distant and disconnected because sometimes even if your alone in a relationship you still feel that undeniable L O V E even if it hurts . Love gives us hope and some try to live on hope ...for as long as they can but being lonely can eat away at you like cancer, I know I was the "puppy dog" for years until I could not breath anymore. I still miss him to this day, love doesn't go away nor does it fade completely . It lingers like shadows always in the back of your mind. Peace.

from representation, to music, to cinematography and delivery, everything was perfect. it makes me happy that their relationship was portrayed as normal as a straight couple- because it really is no different, people cheat, they get lonely, and they do the unthinkable as a means for catharsis. But ah, catharsis, this was the most important need in our main character. His repressed past made us feel with him, the distant sounds of his mother and father yelling, the car door closing as his father leaves, and the weeping of his mother as she holds him- every detail came together perfectly . This short film had excellent cinematography and I am very thankful that art can be exhibited through film where it can be seen by the public- because we show them that we're no different, that we're all fuck ups at some point and that, that normalizes the concept of being gay . because it is real, we exist, and it is as simple as that .

My partner of 16 years finally admitted to cheating with a ‘friend’ he brought home. Initially said it was only going on for a month. Turns out it was more than 6 months. He wanted to be with his new love. I found someone new and we have been together 20 years. To my old ex I said goodbye and good riddance. My husband and I have never been happier. As to my ex, once a cheater always a cheater. If he cheats get out of the relationship. Go out and find your true love.

I was working out of state for 2 weeks and came home and found my "boyfriend" cheating with this guy who knew nothing about me but was distraught about what happened. We eventually met again and talked, became friends and eventually fell in love. I spent my 20's with him until the day he passed away 18.5 years ago. He made me a MUCH better person and brought me closer to my family. To this day his name is brought up by one of my family members at every gathering.

No. This was great until they got back together. If someone cheats on you it's impossible to just forget that. And don't come at me with that "oh well he learned to block out his feelings when his dad left" because it would still be impossible. That isn't something you can just shake. Especially when it was the person your in a relationship with that seduces the other. If it was the other way it would have been bearable but no.

That's the point. Jace's boyfriend resorted to cheating because Jace was never there for him emotionally, and the boyfriend had even TOLD Jace that this was a problem. It finally took actual cheating to get Jace to realize that he needed to start SAYING that he loved his boyfriend and giving his boyfriend the emotional support that had been missing. That's why the alternate ending is so satisfying. It ended with Jace actually saying the words that his boyfriend had wanted so desperately to hear.

Some guys are so lucky to have boyfriend or true love..guys cheat thr partner but still the partner accept them and love them.. I am so unlucky..being gay in India I came out to my famLily for my boyfriend and one day he left me all alone..he was disloyal but I had been loyal for him..wow I just want to thank to people who make gay love movies...bz end of the day I get hopes n positivity after watching this...love is only in movie but not in real life...

My first living together boyfriend. It took me forever to figure out why he was so manipulating my time away from him. I saved up and left. I was hurt so deeply, I never told him why, until 30 years later. He made a pass at me after being married for 20 years. Better alone than unfaithful partner.

It's true that all of us who have experienced trauma tend to become strong enough repressing our thoughts and feelings... that's our defense mechanism... however that shouldn't mean we don't really look for something trustworthy, pure and sincere anymore despite of all past things... at the end, the necessity of love is still our biggest issue. Hugs from Bolivia 🇧🇴😊😽

Alternate ending was very good. In life you should move on with past specially if the same is hurtful. U should not spoil your present due to your hurtful past n should express your love for someone if you do care.

So his response when caught cheating on his birthday, no less - and worst - in their HOME, is "I thought you were at a chapter"? Whatever the reason, instead of cheating, he couldn't end the relationship after explaining why it wasn't working for him? And he takes the cheater back. On the SAME day he cheated. After seeing his father cheated on his mother and abandoning them. What a sorry ass story.

Jace was traumatized by the departure of his father, but did that leave him so pathetically dependent that he had to get back together again with the blond guy, who treated him like dirt? How sick. As the popular president of his fraternity, Jace should have known that he could find someone better than that cheating blond former boyfriend. I guess he wanted to be in a relationship with someone that he could not trust, like his father.
