Thumb muscles

Ғылым және технология

The muscles that move the thumb. Anatomy. Names, movements, innervation, things like that.
Reuploaded to repair a mistake. Taha Talib noticed an error I made where I labelled the trapezium bone as "pisiform", even as I was saying "trapezium".

We are so fortunate to have you! You are just amazing. Because of your videos I fell in love with anatomy and at the age of 40, now 41, I took PA class and got my A thanks to you!

That was helpful. I saw where the nerve passed over the tendon on the way to the tip of the thumb. Possibly an impact squashing the nerve against the tendon or vibration while that tendon was being flexed. With patience it should heal in a month or two. Thanks again.

Nicely done Doc. I have an off topic question. You advised that the tibial and fibial branches of the sciatic nerve in the posterior thigh can be easily pulled apart superiorly during cadaver dissection. Is it possible that I have done this stretching shortly after a MASSIVE disc herniation(L5, S1) while the root was trapped. And would this cause damage to the tib and fib on that inside rip Or will I only find out at autopsy:) Cheers... +6GMT (Thai)
