Sam Webster

Let me show you what you're made of.

I teach human anatomy and do a bunch of other things in my life. I thought I'd use this channel to share some anatomy thoughts and include some of the other stuff too. KZread makes it easy to share.

I produce 2 types of video: talking about anatomy and personal vlogs.

There's an anatomy teaching playlist if you just want to look at those videos. Do not use these videos for medical advice. I'm talking about human anatomy, but you should meet with a healthcare professional in meatspace for proper medical advice. Never use a single source of information for learning and assume it is free of errors. Use multiple sources and your own brain. These videos are not endorsed by the university at which I work. I have a PhD, I am a scientist, I cannot offer medical advice.

I've had liver cancer for decades. I went through treatment which about killed me and I still have effects from it. Because I lost so much weight so fast (140 lbs) in 2 weeks, I had hernias pop up everywhere. I have one in the belly, doesn't bother me really. But my inguinal hernia kills me to the point the pain is so great at times I vomit. PROBLEM! No Doctor will touch me because of the cancer. So if anyone has any luck with an exercise routine to at least lessen the pain, I'm all ears!!!!

Excellent study 📖 of the relationship of bone structure and necessary passageways of the skull. The containment system for communication and command for all bodily functions. As any home needs ways for plumbing and heating and air conditioning and electrical appliances. So does the home of the brain 🧠 our skull 💀.

An Interventional Radiologist is offering pudendal nerve cryoablation to treat my severe left scrotal pain. I've had two 100% successful nerve blocks done at the ischial spine. He wants to do a block at the Alcock's Canal, then treat there. But that's distal to my previous blocks AND to the most common entrapment location for that nerve - the spot where the sacrospinus and sacrotuberous ligaments cross. Apparently all ablation types for treating pudendal neuralgia get done this way. This doesn't make sense to me, and I can't talk to this doctor until the day I fly there for the block. What am I missing? I'm an Electrical Engineer who spent my career in Silicon Valley developing novel medical devices, including implantable defibrillators and RF generators for performing ablation procedures - which is what i was expecting to be offerred. BUT - if that block doesn't help, wouldn't that verify my nerve issue is proximal to the canal and is likely trapped between the ligaments? Pain started during a six month time period where I had to use a knee cart for a right leg injury. I tried the DRG stimulator, and have had my genitofemoral nerve and the perineal branch of my left pudendal nerve cut.

I've swallowed a sharp piece of pizza crust and I think I've damaged my essophagus. It felt like it scratched all the way down. A week on it still painful when I swallow food. I have this sharp pain that feels like it starts from below my right ear near the jaw (almost like a popping or clicking in my ear) all the way down the right side of my throat and through the right side of my chest and shoulder blade. Even my right arm can feel tingly. Is there anything I can do other than wait and see if my body heals naturally? I can still eat and drink but just soft food and I try to limit to one meal a day and drink plenty of water. There hasn't been any blood and breathing is normal. Just very uncomfortable having this pain when swallowing.

Thank you! This helped a ton! I have a rare disease call Eosinophilic Fasciitis that was not caught early and now has cause permanent damage to most of the fascia in my body. Currently looking for a surgeon that will potentially remove the facia around my thyroid, parathyroid, adrenals and pancreas because hardened fascia is causing insufficiencies in these organs now. Thank you again

Decision fatigue is absolutely real. When I was homeschooling ten children at once, I learned that I had to plan as much as possible ahead of time, in huge chunks. A month's worth of meal planning, for instance. Otherwise I would melt down.
