THUMB PAIN?! DO THIS!
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Our thumb has allowed us to become the dominant species on the planet. However, activities such as gaming, needlework, and mousing at the computer, has given rise to thumb pain. Occupations such as therapists and mechanics utilize their thumbs heavily and may develop chronic issues as well. Add this technique for continued thumb well being and relief.

Great video. Simple and to the point. Now I can give painless "thumbs ups"
I’m a life long gamer, and I’m about to be 33 soon. I’ve set massaged my hands for years because that area of my palm feeling overworked. Using your hands to massage your hands has never felt very effective though. However, trying this immediately provided so much relief and satisfaction that I can’t imagine going back. Thank you for this, and I’ll spread the world. Simple, and amazing🔥

Had to laugh - me too I'm 60 ! I started on Donkey Kong, Space Invaders and Pac Man in the bars and arcades. My thumbs are a wreck, I had come to suspect my gaming was to blame. I just found this and am pumped to try it.
Thank you! So glad I found your video! I used the bottom corner of my cell phone while I watched your video, and your techniques helped me right away! Will look for a small ball to use too.
I do lots of crocheting and was experiencing thumb pain, and found your channel and this exercise. Thank you for sharing this technique!!
This was wonderful! I got relief right away! Thank you, Sir!!!
This is exactly where the pain is, great video. Thank you
I want to thank you for this excellent video. I searched around for many different things that I thought were the cause of the pain in this "thumb pad" or "meat" of the thumb / index area of my hands and nothing really hit on what was wrong until I found yours. I'm a 46 year old active guy and former mechanic so tightly gripping tools and things over the years has caused these symptoms I think. Just a single session of using a hard rounded surface and massaging those areas literally made the pain I've been dealing with for years vanish like magic. Sir, again - I cannot thank you enough!

Same! A single day of overzealous wrenching of bike wheels and accessories caused this for me - then every time I used a screwdriver it returned … more permanently and I lost use and strength of my thumb All the other vids said it was De Quervains syndrome - IT IS NOT! The pain is all in the palm / base of thumb meat not the side tendons or tendinitis.

This worked like a gem! Thank you!!!!
Holy cow! Thanks so much! Been stretching, icing, nada. Felt some immediate relief! THANK YOU
Being called out when he mentions crocheters, and again when he mentions that using one thumb to help the other thing, that eventually strains that too
This Video Was Extremely Helpful. Any Fighters, Boxer Especially Must Watch Must Try.
Ooh, that works!! I tend to use a wide grip on my computer's mouse, and I have been having issues with my right thumb. A few moments of this is like magic!
Thank you! Yes, after 6 months of daily knitting and crocheting, my thumb said enough.

Your the first person to treat THIS (instead of de quervains tendinitis) - your video is the only thing that helped. Some others made it worse! But it happened from a single day of wrenching bolts and using a screwdriver more than my hand was used to. Then never went away because of scar tissue. I spent months in a thumb brace and was told to text less 🙄 took the brace off it flared up immediately as the scar tissue and correct trigger points had not been treated.
Thank you for the advice.
Thank you this has helped me
Thank You for This Exercise
love this pain free thank you 👍🙌
What a FANTASTIC VIDEO. I love love love this video. I immediately went into my kid's toy box and found a large marble. I have been addicted to this marble by using it even on my arms and ball of feet. What a simple but blessed and helpful technique. I am so grateful. Thank you again for sharing this with hurting individuals. Stay healthy and pain free also. Yasmin....

I want to acknowledge your commendable efforts. I haven't had time to try this yet but it seems right for the thumb that is torturing me probably from all that "clicking." Hugs.

Thank you for this video. My rheumatologist just kept reiterating that I have arthritis. I was like, I don't deny that I have arthritis, but I think there's also something ELSE going on as well. You perfectly described several of the activities that were causing my pain. I didn't have a tiny ball, so I just used the pointer finger knuckle of my opposite hand.
Thanks for sharing this video.
Thank you fir your vidéo. I will try because i am having pain on my tumb.
Thank you so much for your service to us millions of sore thumb people!🎉 Oh my goodness! We go to doctors, walk in clinics , spend money buying thumb stabilizers , pain meds, creams. This works! God bless you! 😊

Thanks for this. I am a guitarist and my fret-hand thumb is very painful, to the point where I bought a specially designed guitar. Then I got Covid and now both thumbs are very painful! I'll give this a shot.
Thank You 🙏
Add librarians and library workers to the list of people who get this. I'm prone to it when shifting heavy bound periodicals and books. Thanks for this!
Thanks going to try once I get a ball and report back to you.
I have had pain in this thumb area for about 5 years I've gotten cortisone shots in the thumb the past 3 years.. they're starting not to work. Finally decided to check on KZread, watched this video, try your technique I wished I had seen this years ago because it really helped a lot the first time I did this with pressure on the painful areas. Not perfect yet but I don't have to wear a thumb brace. Thank you for taking the time to teach us this technique. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it 💕

i’m also very sore in this area my best advice is daily stretches, and to wear a splint occasionally. i never heard of the cortisone method i assume that’s maybe a steroid or something
Thanks I’ll give it a shot

Thank you! I don’t have a ball and was trying to think of something to use.
Many years ago when optical computer mice became a thing and I was getting rid of an older one, I kept the ball from inside of it as a little souvenir. Let me just say it now has a new purpose 😄
Thank u 😎👌
Wonderful
Mine get sore a lot while writing or gardening but today I noticed both hands really tender there and I think it’s from trying to open a jar yesterday 😂 I tried with all my might lol and now I’m paying for it!
Thanks. I subscribed.

This is happening to my thumb, and I am NOT a "video player, but I do use my mouse on my computer.
Thank you and may God bless you! Now... off to hunt for something small and round.
2:35 Facts! I can confirm this is true from my own experience. You can also develop tightness/pain in your forearms from squeezing while massaging your other arm/hand. I’m not a doctor, just speaking from my own pain. My thumb (right) pain is caused by pc gaming, typing on a phone (ironic as I’m currently typing this on my phone), using it to rub other tight muscles in my body, but most of all, playing fingerstyle acoustic guitar. The 3 songs I’ve been working on for the past while require the thumb to play fast notes on the lower strings throughout the whole song (Post Malone’s “Feeling Whitney” for example). My right thumb is so tight and weakened that I can barely fully straighten it, and if I do it burns badly and I can only hold it for a couple of seconds, even though I’ve been doing stretches and massaging it several times a day for the past several days. I got a wrist brace to help with my wrist pain (computer mouse related) so hopefully it will help with my thumb. We’ll see!

@@sevendoubleodex My pain has gotten significantly worse (not blaming this vid). I suffer from chronic pain in my entire body every waking moment. It’s gotten to the point where I can no longer go to work, play guitar, nor drive my car or use a computer for more than 10 min. I only get sleep once every 2-3 days because of the pain keeping me awake, even with max dosage Lunesta. I can barely eat. I see a chiropractor, orthopedist, acupuncturist, GP, and physical therapist. I do blood work and other medical tests what seems like every week. I’m on more medications than a pharmacy. I have a neurologist appointment and a rheumatologist appointment coming up. I’ve been dealing with symptoms for over 2 years, but it has *significantly* worsened over the past ~3 months. I need a hug.

I randomly get bad stinging pain in my thumb where it hurts to move it, grip something, or even close my fist. Tried what you suggested in this video and (surprisingly fast) it relaxed and went away. Never thought a super bounce ball would be such a useful medical device lol.
Shifting gears on my bike has totally messed up my thumb. Thanks for the little ball routine. I will give it a try.
