Low Back Pain While Standing? It’s Lower Cross Syndrome!

Our sedentary lifestyles may lead to lower cross syndrome (pelvic crossed syndrome/distal crossed syndrome.) A condition in which the abdominals and glutes have become dysfunctional, weak, and inhibited. On the other hand, the hip flexors and lower spinal extensors have become tight and facilitated. Over time, this may lead to permanent dysfunction and spinal degeneration. Add this technique for prevention.

I don't care that this is my business account, I gotta give gratitude. Just the visualization and explanations showing how my posture is improper (I tend to poke my butt out while standing because that's as "straight" as it felt like it would get). I've just purchased a standing desk and watching this video and adjusting my posture appropriately helped me stand throughout the video without needing to collapse on my chair. Thank you, I'm definitely subscribing and will be taking whatever advice you throw out there!

Great video and it did magic to me. I am 62 years old and was struggling with my lower back pain. This morning I washed something in laundry and just after 5 minutes work, I was unable to stand on my feet. I was desperate to find a way to get my lower back pain fixed and luckily I found this video. Just after exercising for two times just for few minutes my problem is around 80% solved. I am so excited and can't believe the effectiveness of this exercise. Thank Dr. Stay blessed.

I got a strong core, glutes and hamstrings as well as flexible psoas but I still got lower back pain. I also deal with rounded shoulders and for that I've been doing lots of scapula strengthening, stretches and mobility for the upper back but I have improved just a little even though I started doing these excercises like 7 month ago it's really frustrating and I'm desperate I don't want to get off my bed because I know I will have to deal with pain for the rest of the day and I feel ashamed for my posture.

I think due to this problem why some people can only stand for short periods of time like me for example is because of the weight and depend how ur sleeping position is. Sleeping on your belly position and even sideways with the big belly hurts your lower back because your sleeping like that for hours and time to time. Over the time your back gets weaken by sleeping in that position and when you stand, it starts to hurt your lower back. My suggestion is lose the weight and you can comfortably sleep in any position you like without feeling the back pain. I'm 114kg at my current state with back issues and never had any back issue when I was around 90's kg range. So yeah I think it's the weight gain problem. Your lower back is putting too much pressure due to all the weight that is carrying from all the way top of the body. So just try your best to lose the weight and back pain can be reduced. Hope my info help!

I have this problem when I have been sitting and standing up for the first 10 seconds. Everything so stiff and can't get the back straight. After that, no problem and can stand upright all day without any problems. I also notice in cross legged sitting that I have trouble keeping my back upright, back muscles can hardly sustain it as if it were a reverse boat pose. After that, getting up with a straight back is completely impossible for the first 10 seconds. Is this also due to too tight hipflexors or something else?

completely incorrect. i drive 8-9 hours a day. i even have a lower back support because i’m into powerlifting. my muscles are strong. i don’t have issues squatting as i contract my glutes at the top but deadlifting it gets too tight quick. i also notice standing my back gets too tight quickly but when i sit my lower back sometimes rounds the opposite way of yours. if i feel tightness i move my back suooort higher but my butt rather curves and mid lower back and i can stand upright nonissue. you’re exposing people who have an exaggerated arch and i clicked off because this is ridiculous. anterior pelvic tilt happens to those who generally have weak abs and glutes, not always. need a different video click off half way
