Pelvic Pain? Your Pelvis Is Rotated! Do This! | Dr Wil & Dr K

The mechanics of daily living may cause our pelvis to “Rotate.” This pelvic rotation causes pain and discomfort within the pelvic bowl. Muscles such as the Psoas/iliacus and Quadratus Lumborum may spasm/cramp in a vain attempt to fix the “Rotation.” Add this technique on a regular basis for prevention or to restore normal pelvic mechanics.

    This is a good start but I believe there is much deeper issues pulling on the ilium/pelvis. I believe it’s more so in my case related to the sacrotuberous ligament being cranked down. Prior work was getting the QL and SI joint to loosen up first.

    Great vid, I’m gonna focus on doing this instead of strengthening one side of my body and stretching the other as I’ve seen others recommend on YT. I’m twisted to the left and a lower hip on that side. My left glute looks so much tighter than the other but perhaps I should still strengthen and stretch them evenly? I can’t even do simple glute stretches on the left side cus my leg won’t cross over the other cus it’s so tight. Also a twisted pelvis can’t be fixed by a chiro correct? Wouldn’t the muscles just pull the pelvis back outta whack?

    Going to try this routine/treatment. I have been dealing with a misaligned pelvis for over 3 years . Chiropractor did not help, and physio seems to work for a day or two then my pelvis slips out of alignment again. Nothing seems to help alleviate the groin and low back pain. It's been somewhat debilitating. Cannot participate in martial arts or do any physical activity.

    I know it’s always important to do “both sides” when it comes to stretching anything on the body - but the exercise you’ve demonstrated here works best only when I drive my right knee back and left leg forward. I feel like that movement corrects me perfectly, and once I switch sides, it just brings me back to my original rotated position. Is only doing one side safe in this situation?

    I actually rotated my right pelvis. And I'm going through physical therapy for it. It's been helping. But it's pinched my sciatic nerve. So my leg hurts too. On top of it I think it pinched a blood vessel. But this started last year. I was feeding the chickens. And the run was muddy. Well I slipped right foot pointing right went right left foot pointing left went left. Extreme unbearable pain. I was crying and cursing and could barely walk. And once I got into my bed. I couldn't walk for 4 months. Couldn't relieve myself. And my mom. Worst of all. Thought I was faking it.

    Hello and Thanks for Watching!😄If your pelvis has a tendency to “Rotate,” you may have recurring bouts of it. Human anatomy is not perfect and one side of the body isn’t always symmetrical with the other side. With that being said, the mobilization and stretching techniques in this channel will help bring “Balance” between the two sides. Regarding strengthening weak or inhibited muscles evenly, Single leg exercises such as lunges, pistol squats, single leg deadlifts/single leg Romanian deadlifts, and single leg glute bridges will help. I suggest consulting with your local healthcare practitioner (Chiropractor or Physical therapist) who is well versed in sports medicine/biomechanics to assist you. Thanks again for Watching and keep us posted.

    Holy shit!!! This fucking works!! My pelvis is laterally tilted(left side slightly higher than right(and on top of that, just like you explained in the video, higher hip was posteriorly tilted and the other anteriorly)) and it was also rotated to the left For the past few days i’ve had random sharp pain in my right butt and my QL was tight even tho ironically i went to an osteopath 2 weeks ago My pelvis is still laterally tilted tho but i felt the difference right away as soon as i stood up from my bed after doing what you mentioned in the video THANKS AGAIN MAN! @Jess Lang-Yes I have that odd uneven look because I have a lateral pelvic tilt to the left. I have been doing the exercises given here but also psoas stretches on both sides, core strengthening i.e. the plank and quadratus lumborem stretches on both sides. It has taken about a month but the improvement is very significant and the back pain is almost gone.

  • @glenndrake6172

    @glenndrake6172

    @Chris Williams You can stand in front of a mirror with your legs and feet as level as possible and if the navel is turned to the left it's a left rotation of the pelvis or left lateral tilt and vice versa. Usually the quadratus lumborum is to blame but not always. If you are going to a chiropractor you can ask them for the right kinds of exercises. Chris, there are many, many good google sites that can give you the info you need.
