RUNNING THE SPINE RACE THROUGH THE PAIN - 268 MILES - 1 IMPORTANT MESSAGE
Shelli Gordon owns the running shop 'Lets Run' in North Yorkshire which she set up with her partner Tony in 2017. Tony very sadly and with no warning, took his own life in 2018. This is Shelli’s story of how she ran the 268 Spine Race in the depths of water along the length of the Pennines in Tony Holland’s memory. Not only did Shelli complete the Spine but she has also raised over £30,000 for CALM in the process. Now more than ever, we all need to spread the word that its ok to not be ok and to not only get more men talking but anyone is suffering and needs some help.

Thank you for this video. As someone who survived an attempt this video is a wonderful but sober. One of reasons I run is to try sort out or more likely get out of my head. That struggle to take another step is important to just keep going. Beautiful metaphor for the suffering of life. I'm truly sorry for your loss Shelly. This video was a beautiful dedication to man wish could've met.. Best wishes to you and love you all.

Well done, indeed. Very well done. While the video does a good job of capturing the incredible difficulty of this race, it's still an 18-minute video capturing a much longer adventure, and so I remind myself that this race was 268 miles long through very challenging weather conditions, and I am very admiring of and inspired by Shelli's strength and perseverance.
