I’ve just completed my 1st 4 weeks ago. What an Amazing Experience. I would like to Continue running it. It’s been around since 1921, making it the Oldest Ultra as Well.

I love the fact that GB Ultras welcomes supporters at some of their Checkpoints - makes it a family affair for a lot of runners. Those who run solo get loads of support at the Checkpoints.

.. as a German Biologist this is about the Conditioning of PAIN -REWARD patterns in our domesticated hyper Comfort Zone Life Style. We learn early on - it is O K to STOP when we get bored or feel a drain and instantly get a Reward for even doing nothing it is a total de conditioning of those patterns to surrender to a higher cause in this case not even winning anything but to TRAIN to STOP the sense of PAIN and Discomfort like any Yogi, Fakir in this sense this is the Elite of Humans Super Man Über Mensch - Nietzsche to train to En DURE we must establish Gene Banks to preserve them as we race towards Self Extinction this is Genetic we see it already in Kids in Kinder Garden those who can sustain activity over long periods never getting “bored” always fascinated to LEARN and DO - versus the fast Rewards and Quick PAIN that demands HUGE fast REWARDS

When I was a child I dreamed I’m was Mickey Mantle. As an Old Man (68) I dream I’m a Ultra Runner. People like John, Courtney, Dylan and many more like me motivated to keep running. When I’m injured or feeling my age. I’ll watch one of these videos or listen to a Podcast and I can’t wait to get back out there.

Why the 2.35:1 format? All the shots look cropped/zoomed in and I keep looking for a "zoom out"-button. It's really difficult to watch. 16:9 format next time please.

Such an amazing video. Loved every second of it, Super inspiring and so well shot. I did my first Ultra in July albeit 75KM, it was brutal. Id love to do a longer distance and this has spurred me on! I documented it on my channel but don't quite think it had the quality of yours! Great job, cant wait to see whats next, have you got anything in mind?

Thank you for this video. As someone who survived an attempt this video is a wonderful but sober. One of reasons I run is to try sort out or more likely get out of my head. That struggle to take another step is important to just keep going. Beautiful metaphor for the suffering of life. I'm truly sorry for your loss Shelly. This video was a beautiful dedication to man wish could've met.. Best wishes to you and love you all.
