He made a very good and valid point. Use the correct screwdriver!!!!!! Just a little info for people out there that don't know, that is NOT a Phillips head screw on the cable holder. That is a #1 JIS screw head.
Sweet man. Just picked up a kx80 kart. Ran through motor and redid gaskets.. etc. this is what I needed.

I am having trouble taking the retainer out, I’ve tried break cleaning it, and it still won’t come out

If the retainer is jammed in there, you may need to use a pick or needle nose to fish out. Before re-installing, make sure the retainer is not damaged
