The monsters we help create in our kids when we are in an abusive relationship, never stops haunting them. Its hard, but its best to put an end to such exposure as quickly as we can before they fail to escape and become monsters themselves.

You should never subject your children to abuse. Do the responsible thing to give them a better life. The psychological damage is indelible. There could be a whole host of irreversible things that arise due to domestic violence. In my case I had a father that was abusive and one day, whilst trying to defend my mother we got into a scuffle and he fell, his eyesight was permanently damaged and I have lived with that guilt all my life.

I was the grounded one, independent, responsible, working 10yrs at a company b4 he came along. Wasnt subjecting my daughter or myself to his dysfunctional stuff. Funny, didn't start until 3yrs. married. Basically, a rollercoaster. Got off the rollercoaster.

Big fan of sci-fi that allegories present and pressing matters - your film really nails the harrowing, reality-bending act that stopping an abuse cycle can require. One of the other (many) things I really love about the piece is how restrained Jack's performance is while both Amy and James are volcanic - captures something true about living with and within trauma and shows real maturity as an actor. Thanks to everyone involved for such great work!

I was in similar situation. Tried to call 911 and he took the phone and threw it across the room and stood between me and the phone. Cops traced the call and came anyway.....and did NOTHING!. Told my husband to spend the night in a hotel or something but he was able to take the house keys with him! I was up all night terrified he'd come back and finish me off. Lesson learned: Cops are useless in domestic disputes. I have since divorced, and am happy and safe.

Wow that was excellent as a survivor of abuse and now a former drug addict, I understood this movie right away. Because of the mom's refusal to leave the abuser, she has caused her son to become a derelict and a monster as well. My God this was powerful and haunting, the poor kid can't escape his past and the mother abused her son as well. Only thinking of herself and smacking him, that's abuse.

I would love this as a TV series. It could be where the protagonist was abducted or kidnapped by scientists trying to prevent the apocalypse or something. There must be a laboratory that allows time travel or something, a group of people. Maybe the prospect of changing the future became too daring (the multiverse problem) so he said to himself, if there’s one thing I can change it’s getting rid of that abusive man. Paradoxically he seems in many ways to have become that abusive man. Maybe the two could time travel to different areas where the kid tries to bring out what little good is left in the adult. Anyway, I’ve been rambling. Love your stuff. SUBSCRIBED

Hiiii guys! I was inspired to write one of the unprofessional reviews in the history of KZread, but please bear with me. I was sent over here by Jonathan Snipes from clipping. to see this short movie. I do not know Jonathan in any manner except music (he absolutely rocks), and taste (if not all, some things that are interesting for him are definitely interesting for me). This is a great short debut! This movie has a strikingly awe-inspiring balance between nostalgia and modern. Some of the worse things could be explained by either low budget, or lack of acting experience. However, the great things are outshining the bad ones, the most paramount of them is really strong script. Production quality only adds up to that nostalgic feeling of watching the not-too-bad-yet-still B movies by being seemingly shot on iPhone or what not:) But even then, I can see the good operator skills. Okay, at this moment, I have a bad cold and should stop writing this review. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, AND I HOPE TO SEE MORE AND BETTER OF YOU!
