I appreciate that you blur people’s faces. So many KZreadrs record their one-on-one interactions with strangers (even though they didn’t even agree to be recorded and seem uncomfortable being filmed) for millions of people to see. But you respect the privacy of people who are even just in the background, and I think that’s very nice of you.

i agree. i don't think people should be filmed or photographed without their consent or their identity should be concealed if they are in the shot without saying they are okay with it. that used to kind of be the way it was but lately everyone takes video of strangers for social media and it's more accepted :(. very nice to see the respectful blur here!

@@VictoriaTerekhina Honestly, when it's people just in the background it's not that bad and probably not necessary if you can't really make out their faces. I just thought it was a nice gesture. What really sucks (which I've seen in other KZreadrs' videos) it's when one can clearly see the stranger's face, sometimes even in a close-up, and they are clearly uncomfortable being filmed. So, don't worry too much about it, I just thought it was a kind gesture of you ❤️

@L. Maris However there should be no expectation of privacy when out in public, in many countries you can't demand not to be recorded in those cases, but if the property is private you can. It's a nice courtesy if you blur their faces in public, not not required.

I fully do NOT agree. I find it beautiful that she finds her fulfillment in being a mother and in putting her family first - this is true, it is a delight! It is also nice to see people who are not set on owning rather on being. However - each human being can find their own purpose in life in different directions. For one person it will be family, for another it will be traveling, for yet another - helping the poor, etc. This does not dismiss the ones who are not family-oriented, and this does not mean that there is no hope in the world. ❤️

It's so true about the propaganda here in the UK. My son went to China to study for a year and had the most incredible time. He made the loveliest friends and the photos he shared were of such a modern and liberal culture with cutting edge architecture and awesome social media. So different to the way it is portrayed here. Even from within our country. After settling in Liverpool and it being the complete opposite of the way it is depicted in media, I have visited other downplayed cities here. There are so many amazing places outside of the often misrepresented South. I recommend Liverpool most of all but Lincoln, York and Lancaster are lovely (so far). I really want to see Newcastle, Northumberland, Bradford and just so many places now ☺️

I've moved to Manchester in recent months and was flabbergasted by how friendly everyone was after being led to believe I'd be mugged at first sight! The South is pretty but it's also full of a lot of shallow rich white people who buy up the property for second homes and leave many locals poor and without housing. I loved living there when I was small but I couldn't imagine returning to such a small minded and aggressive place. Especially now that I'm a mum.

The items are so much better too. I find designer/expensive items frequently for a fraction of the price. Just this week I found an Anthropologie monogram mug (with my initial) for $.50. US is huge, so it varies a ton. Pro tip: only go to stores in wealthier areas. I live in a relatively wealthy area of the country but even still, there is a dramatic shift from one suburb to the next. Some are disgusting and some are super nice! I will drive an extra 15 minutes to a nicer area if it means superior inventory, bigger stores, and cleaner stuff! I find $200+ barely used dresses for $10 all the time. However, my friend lives in a normal middle class area with a large military population and she can't find anything good within an hour of her :( so it can vary a lot.

i love thrift stores. at 72 i don't go out anymore and your trip was fun follow with you. i live in vancouver, washington state and grew up in california. our thrift stores are big and small and they have everything. even the small ones. and on city block you will find many of them. we have lots of thrift book stores also. lots of the stores have a special color of the day. for example, if the color of the tag is green you get 50% off. then once a month they have senior where you can get 50-75% discounts on everything in the store. the stores usually have used books too. our animal shelter opened up a thrift store. it's called PAWS AND CLAWS. all the money they make in their store goes to the shelter to help pay for the care of the animals. i donate to that thrift store. there is one thrift store here that if you are homeless or your house had some disaster etc they will give you some free clothes and household items to help you out. since covid 19 hit the usa some of these stores had to shut down. really sad because not everyone can afford to buy new clothes and some just don't want to as they prefer second hand. the goodwill thrift store, a very famous one in the u.s., even has a website where you can the really good expensive stuff online at a cheaper price. enjoyed your thrift store shopping! thank you!

I absolutely love your videos: they are so extremely interesting in their detail, and you are profoundly sincere - they are just a JOY and so are you and your family! Being able to learn about cultures other than one's own, is just CRUCIAL for us all, I think, in terms of peace, understanding, compassion and equality. Thank you so much for the hours you put in, for us all! With love from me in Scotland!

I think they’re on Facebook for the most part. I love it. I’ve gotten and given many things. Makes me feel good to pass on items instead of throwing away or donating.

You were very close...It’s a “tape measure”. Your english is really, really good. I’m blown away by it. I started to learn Russian last year on Duolingo but I had to set it aside for a bit. It is so difficult and it was frying my brain, lol. I know how to translate a word from the Cyrillic alphabet to our’s and then use a translator to see what a word means in English but I want to learn the language. I read yesterday that Russian, Mandarin and Finnish are considered the hardest languages to learn. So I decided to learn Swedish instead and now that I’m almost done with Swedish I will probably go back to Russian with a feeling of accomplishment from finishing Swedish. I hate to leave something I’ve started undone. My neighbour and good friend is fluent in Russian so that should help a lot. :)

What an interesting adventure! It was really fun to follow you around exploring the thrift stores. I noticed a very large wooden bookcase made out of highly polished wood and glass doors. It was very ornate for a second hand book store. It was so fancy that I wondered if it had sat in a grand home or office in it's lifetime. It was so beautiful 😍! The little outfits for Agatha were darling and I rather like her red pants. Little girls can get away with bright colors. Yes, that sewing kit was lovely too, the measuring tape will be so handy and it's special in the design. Good deal! 😄👍💕 You are very inspirational in using items which have a lot of life left in them. No waste at your house! Good job dear one! 😘💕🥰❤❤❤👍

That high chair is so cool!! I love it! It looks like it might be homemade. But wherever it came from, it is one of the neatest high chairs I’ve ever seen! I love how it becomes a chair and table. Very clever! We should all try move away from plastic as much as possible. It isn’t as durable as wood and ends up in landfills where it will never breakdown. Plus, it looks so much nicer than plastic high seats, etc. :)

I love thrifting; I've found such lovely bargains in thrift stores. You have a huge variety of things. I am happy that thrifting has become so popular and acceptable! When I was growing up it was considered a little bit shameful to buy things from a second-hand store. Over the years, these stores have been named thrift stores and it's kind of cool/trendy to go thrifting. I think you did very well with your purchases for Agatha and you. What a great find the highchair was! Your sewing things are unique as you say. I think the measuuing tape is very cool.

As said by everyone else, thank you for sharing your family life and giving a look inside daily life of a Russian person, for the rest of us in the world 😊 it helps to bring us all together and realize we have much in common. Next, I love the thrift store, been thrifting since teen hood. At first I was always looking to buy something cool, now I go to decompress and stroll the aisles, and just escape from anxieties for a bit. I don't mind walking out without buying anything at all. Many times if I like something I'll still put it back if I know in my heart I probably won't wear/use it. That Russian book on parenting looked very interesting, I am curious to know what it said about parenting.. Finally, as has been said, the clothes for your daughter are too cute 😍

Love that the highchair converts to chair and table. My family had similar one for my brother when he was little, back in the mid 1950's. That seems to be a vintage piece. The huge thrift shop was very clean and had a lot to offer. Agatha, will look so darling in her new dress and sandals. In fact the smaller Thrift shop had a colorful piece of clothing I would like to have looked at. Thanks for taking us along on your errand. Until next video, God bless!

Thank you for sharing your shopping trip with us!! I do really enjoy seeing what is in other thrift shops, I hardly ever get to see this perspective from other countries so this was a real treat! Also, I really like old and/or vintage items, so I really liked the tape measure and other things you showed!! Nowadays it is like there is not much imagination in the items we have today because we live in so much consumerism. It was the hard times when folks became the “mother of inventions” to come up with ideas for everyday common things that really made a difference. Anyway, I am rambling. Thank you for sharing your lives and fun times! I really enjoy your vlogs. Take care and God bless.

Thriftiness and thrifting are essential when starting out. Silver plated silverware, Dinner plates cup and clear glass coffee mugs, half my blue jeans and shirts, stereo equipment, lawn mower, kitchen table and chairs and other pieces of furniture, various tools, jewellery and collectibles all bought from 2nd hand stores and lawn sales. Good luck to you and you're family on your journey.
