My Birth Story (crazy experience both times)

I hoped that my second delivery would be faster and easier than the first one but it turned out to be a crazy one as well. I assume that giving birth is probably just not my thing 😅

Yes birth is very dangerous for women. I don't think all men understand that in their heart. Women are given an intuition about pregnancy and we alone should get to decide if a pregnancy continues. We must trust women to make the decisions they've naturally made from the beginning of time. When that right is taken away it is disastrous for women and for society.

I thought I wanted the water birth, but then after 10 hours of contractions when I was finally able to have the epidural as an option, I said GIVE IT TO ME 🤣 Literally thought I would never agree to have a needle put in my back, but the pain was so blinding I was like GET IT IN THERE. Epidural was like a blessing from the heavens. I then just fell asleep until baby was ready to come out several hours later. Pushing didnt even hurt. Epidural saved me. So thankful I had it

Exactly! Doctors who deny or discourage from using epidural (this is a common practice in Poland for example) should be held accountable. Then they wonder why women don't want to have children

Just amazing, love sent to you all. I had two 'babies' many years ago. My eldest is now 42! I can say that no two births are 'text book' or the same. Every birth is unique - I was present at all the births of my amazing four grandchildren. Three went amazingly well. The birth of my first grandson was however traumatic, my darling eldest daughter experienced placenta previa, it was horrendous. Due to the blood loss after my Grandsons birth my daughter was in intensive care. My brand-new grandson was cared for by me and my amazing son-in-law, for his first two days. My daughter had spoken to me many times about her wanting a 'home' natural birth, and I thankfully changed her mind. She had attended all of her pre-natal checks and scans, and everything was 'fine'. I just thank the lord that she was in the hospital. Much love sent to you all.xxx

I'm watching this a year later. So happy your second delivery had a happy ending. I can't imagine your doctor asking you not to scream, haha. My first one was induced, and I felt like Regan off of the Exorcist with each contraction. Super intense and painful. When I was pregnant with mine, I asked him about episiotomy. He informed me that he would just let me tear. I practically clutched my pearls at the thought. But then he explained that healing an episiotomy is like healing a paper cut. It takes days for the cut to heal back together (like panes of glass) and it's painful. But a tear, because it's like a torn hang nail, is rigid and "knits" very quickly. My recovery was very quick.

I had that back pain and I was ok if i died. I didn't feel one contraction. My nurse had probably delivered 10s of thousands of babies and had zero sympathy. I ended up with an epidural and c-section as baby was compressing the cord. my second pregnancy was contractions for 2 months...never dialated. another c-section. having a baby is not fun but the results are worth it!

The chair is called a birthing chair or stool and has a long traditional. The dr. who delivered my first daughter made it known he would not get down on the floor to deliver a mother on one of those so I went to a different hospital for my second (4450g), though she was so big I was on a standard delivery table. And the third was a water birth, also 4 kg. I am sorry you had such a traumatic time, I was lucky that mine were pretty quick, despite my babies being big. It‘s interesting that you were never offered a Caesarean at all. We women do tend to move past the pain of childbirth quite quickly, so it‘s good to hear you‘ve had a great recovery and are enjoying your beautiful Adeline! 🤗(mother of Aveline!)

Adelina is beautiful! Congratulations and I hope you are recovering well despite a difficult birth. Labor and delivery is such a crazy experience. You have to make so many tough choices along the way, when to trust your own body or when to listen to the doctors. I’ve been induced twice, the first time I wished I had waited and the second time it worked really well and quickly but only because I had already progressed quite a bit on my own. But I try not to dwell on the details because it’s really hard to make the “perfect” decision when so much is going on and the goal is to keep everyone safe and healthy but that doesn’t necessarily result in the most easy or smooth experience.

i had such a strange experience - i was induced with a pill too, and contracted for 2 days, a minute and a half apart, without feeling a thing! didn't dilate AT ALL, until they used a foley balloon...then they pumped up the pitocin and the pain went from zero to unimaginable, i couldn't even scream, i would just gasp and white knuckle the bed handles. got an epidural asap for 12 hrs of relief, but then the pain came back and it turned out she was too big and couldn't fit through my pelvis, and epidural's can't affect nerve pain. had an emergency c-section after that. it's crazy to me that Victoria's baby was even bigger than mine, and she got her out! Don't know why i went on that ramble, but congrats on your bubs everybody 😅

Always, always epidural after induction. It's so much more painful than natural labour. I can't believe they told Vika to stick with the water birth.

@@amylangford9151 that's the "bad" side of birthing plans etc. when woman signs to a strict plan for their birth, the doctors often are afraid to do things outside the plan. that makes decisions more difficult. every birth is different so I think it's nearly impossible before to know what exactly one would want during this process

Whew! Vika. I have a tipped uterus and I have heard about how it can cause back contractions. That is so much. You’re amazing. I’m relieved for you and she is beautiful and yes, big and healthy. Sending love from the states. 💖

I continue to be amazed by you!!! It was very obvious from your last video that your beautiful 2nd daughter was a big baby and my goodness you really went through it bringing her into the world!!!!! And men of course feel so helpless even tho they try their best. I think the whole 'labour' frightens them beyond imagining - with fear for both partner and baby. Thank God you were compensated with an easier recovery and that you had a nice day out with your mom and little family. I remain totally and absolutely in awe of your strength, attitude, and serenity. Are you EVER JUST TOTALLY FRAZZLED?? Can i buy some of your serenity 😇. Love from Ireland.

So glad to hear you made it through this ordeal and got a healthy baby girl out of it. It took forever with my first one, too, and I was barely dilating. I wound up with a C-section bc the umbilical cord was wrapped around my baby's neck. With my 2nd I knew it was automatically going to be another C-section, and I'm not going to lie, it was a relief.😚 Wishing you and your family all the best for the future. Enjoy your new baby!💕
