Three Suze Liqueur/Aperitif Cocktails Recipes | Home bar

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I have three excellent and easy to make suze liqueur / Aperitif Cocktails Recipes. Suze is an excellent aperitif from france made from the gentian root, which grows in switzerland and France mountains.
I choose three cocktails recipes with a different base-one with Vodka, one with Amaro & a touch of Whiskey & Bourbon. Finally, a wonderful riff with Sour Cherry Gin.
The recipes are adapted to my liking, following the original source closely. Feel free to experiment with your cocktail recipes at home.

Amazing! I loved the video and description of Suze, and it’s true, with Campari at first I didn’t like it at all! But then after some time, it got used to my pállate, thanks for the video! Cheers! 🍻

Strangely it is not very popular, but it is a beautiful aperitif/liqueur to have and use as a bitter ingredient in cocktails.

I had not heard of Suze liqueur before this video so this could be the beginning of my experience with it if I can get my hands on it. The Day La Vie with that Buffalo Trace looks appetizing.

Nice video. Really appreciate the compare and contrast aspect of having three cocktails. I've never had Suze, and from your description, I might wait to have my first taste at a bar, in a cocktail that has ingredients that balance /mellow out the bitterness, before investing in a bottle for my home bar.

You are welcome. It is a beautiful French aperitif/liqueur, but yes, it is vital a bitter taste. If appropriately used, it is fantastic. The simple way to enjoy it is with tonic water or Orange juice. In cocktails works excellent as well. Trying in a bar first, it's a good idea.

@@JSOS My home bar storage area is limited. Aperol and Campari have permanent bitter spots. The 3 interesting but not often used bottles I have now are cherry heering, green chartreuse, and elderflower liqueur. When one of them is empty I can rotate in another. But I have 7 whiskeys... Scotch, bourbon and rye (slippers & mixers... priortities!) Surprised you didn't have any rye.

Can you find a liqueur containing Gentian? I know it won't be the same a Suze but it will help with the different bitter component. Check for alternative.
