As someone that lives in Thetford Forest, thank you for being so careful with the fire. As I'm sure you know we've had constant wildfires recently and it's so upsetting seeing all the destruction, a lot of which could have probably been prevented if people were more mindful. Well its what should be taught in schools, real life skills. This is why we have so many problems with people thinking knives are weapons & not tools with people managing to set fire to things even though they are using a bbq in metal box? Our grandfather's didn't have these worries because the world was a different place, we need to go backwards in skills & in thought as forwards doesn't seem to be working out very well for the majority of people. Great video always love watching, get me keen for the next hike.

Boots always. I very turned an ankle on a flat road. Aa a teacher of 11-16 year old we cover ecology and counting plants etc. There's sustainability that is covered but it is very class based we cover extinction and look at the way ecosystems rely on interdependence This video was a great advert for getting out into nature. No apologies required Craig. I'm not far from you I have a 32k walk where only 3k is on the roads and no more than 6k from home. Hope the training for November goes well.

Alright! Top camp there Craig? I had to use a tarp over Sunday night- well Monday morning as we got a light shower. I'm glad it's cooling down as it's been to hot for me this summer. Like the butt plugs, sorry mushrooms 🍄 there.

This looks like I would have fitted in on this adventure, leave no trace, been able to do a couple nights out, I got a physical trainer to get my muscles working again and getting stronger, would like to meet up with you and some others for a few nights, it will be good to have a few around as I am still struggling to get fit again, 8 year's of being bedbound waisted my muscles. As ever great video, love the sound track towards the end. The wooden mushrooms looked good, so here is a challenge have you ever made a chain from a solid piece of wood? I did as a kid so I am away next week with my sons and going to give it another go. I just made a Kuksa on my last trip but cheated and used a piece of seasoned sapele so my next one I shall use some local dead fall.
