I love Courtney but yeah they wrote her to be so obnoxious mainly in season 2. But you've gotta admit she had a good villain origin story. I think she mellowed out in the beginning on season 3 until the cheating thing happened. I think she's shown that she can be civil and compassionate towards others like showing concern for people's safety, but its her competitiveness that brings out her ugly side...to where she starts showing lack of concern for people's safety lol.

Hear me out, TOTAL DRAMA ALLSTARS WOULD’VE BEEN HER SEASON. But ofc they have to deal with Mal and other shit we did not care about. Honestly I didn’t think Courtney was bad that season. Yeah she was still naggy at times, but she was more chill vs TDA and partially TDWT. Courtney is overall my favorite character but god TDA made me wanna throw hands. If it wasn’t for that chart that randomly came out of nowhere (Courtney didn’t even plot really but all of sudden when THAT EPISODE occur, now she’s plotting) she would’ve probably made it to the finals but once again she was robbed.

I love the fact that the goth couple is the most healthy and well adjusted couple in the entire franchise history.

According to a bunch of interviews, the writers never wanted to break Gwen and Trent up at all. The decision was actually made by the higher-ups, who ordered Gwen and Trent specifically be broken up because they didn't want kids to think that a person's first relationship will always work out. That kind of explains why the break-up felt so slap-dash and out-of-nowhere. I think the idea of putting Gwen and Duncan together didn't actually exist until they began writing for world tour, though I'm not entirely certain on that specifically, so take it with a grain of salt. Regardless, several of the writers and voice actors (including Gwen's) have stated that they think the Gwen Trent relationship was way better than the Gwen Duncan relationship. Anyway, just wanted to say nice video. Shaun-Jasmine and Noah-Emma are my personal favourites with Heather-Alejandro being a close third.

The network request was very stupid and unnecessary. I really hate how Teletoon and Cartoon Network’s executives purposely ruined a healthy and understanding relationship (Gwent) and forced the toxic setup (Gwuncan) to become canon.

Also Gwen and Trent weren't together that long TDA takes place not too long after TDI ended. If they really had to break them up, which they didn't, it should've been done gradually as TDA went along.

And to think to this day Total Drama couples are considered to be some of the best couples in the history of Canadian animation! and as for Ridonculous Race couples Devin and Carrie is one of my all time favorites!

I had the exact same reaction when you mentioned Dave and Sky. We don't need to talk about that dumpsterfire. Favorite couple: Noah and Emma. Noah having a relationship arc boosted his character and make him more likeable than he already was. Making him more relatable to the audience in my opinion.

The Noah and Emma relationship felt a bit out of place to me, but even with that it was probably one of the healthiest and best relationships to come out of the show. Plus, it didn’t botch his character, so that’s another bonus.

It's so sad. Duncney was supposed to be endgame but the producers went against the creator's original vision, The creator and I think it was Duncan's voice actor, both stated they preferred Duncan and Courtney together. It's pretty interesting and well documented, they only broke them up because Cartoon Network executives thought Gwen and Duncan's LOOKS suited one another. Crazy.

As much as I loved Harold and Leshawna, part of me is kind of glad they left them getting together to be ambiguous at times. I kind of wish more ships were like that.

Regardless of clear toxicity at times(or all the time lol), I have alway been a diehard Duncney fan. I feel they deserve each other, if you take out the fact that the whole love triangle between Duncan, Courtney and Gwen was something the writers were forced to do, we can look at it as Duncan being impulsive due to his annoyance at Courtney's behavior since the end of TDA aftermath and Gwen was the safe option for him since they had had this long friendship and common interest and he knew she wouldn't give him difficulty in a relationship. But clearly entering a romance with her was poor choice he made and ruined a great friendship between all three of them. Sadly, he realized it(if he truly did fully) that he still craved Courtney's madness and attention to him and got bored with Gwen very easily by All Stars and was just using her to get Courtney jealous and for her to resume their chaotic and toxic interactions but it was too late. So like I said, Duncan and Courtney are equally toxic individuals that seem to deserve each other and they clearly can't get into semi healthy relationships and don't really fight to keep them(Gwuncan and Scottney fell apart so easily). That's how I see it if I were going purely off the narrative itself rather than the reality of how the process of writing went. Just my opinion on it.

Right now it's summer already and we still have no information, nothing. Tbh, I think when they announced TD new seasons and said that they were already working on them they were lying. They just saw how many views TDR got and immediately decided to start working on something.

Also, I really hope that despite what the creators said, we will see some old cast members. The thing is, I really don't know what other archetypes could they use for TWO more seasons. That's seems impossible, and even if they somehow find a way to create so many new characters, I have a feeling that those characters will be really shitty and boring to watch.

I love Heather and Alejandro so much it's unreal Also, there's a moment between Lindsay and Tyler that I feel like not enough people talk about. In the dogdgeball episode, Lindsay gets hit by a ball and I'm pretty sure it's her eye that gets swollen, and Tyler tells her he still thinks she's beautiful, and he doesn't seem to be saying it just to spare her feelings, either. It's a super sweet a moment and I'm surprised it doesn't get more recognition.

Owen sure proved how he's the best boyfriend ever when he pushed Izzy into who he thought was a serial killer. xD

Here’s my opinion: Gwent: was great at first but Action derailed them so hard dude it’s awful. Duncney: again, great at first but Action onwards derailed them so much. Also I think it inadvertently began Courtney’s downward spiral as a character. Lyler: great all the way through, they were always pretty adorable together. Ozzy: completely goofy and always enjoyable. They never should’ve broken up. Gidgette: never really cared that much about them, but glad they’re still together. Leharold: I have no clue who decided this was a good idea but I’m so glad that they did because it’s hilarious. Gwuncan: no. Just no in every way. This ship ruined so damn much about the show. Plus, it was incredibly toxic. It’s almost like Gwen should’ve ended up with someone else entirely. Aleheather: 10/10, just amazing in every way. Super over the top, I love it. Yeah it was toxic but that was kinda the point. And besides, it seems like when they’re off the show, they’re genuinely happy together. Zoke: eh? I don’t really have much to say. They were nice together but I really just don’t have much of an opinion on the ship, or the characters for that matter. Samkota: love it, amazing, hilarious, and super enjoyable. Scottney: while they had genuinely hilarious moments throughout the show, they really had no reason to be together. It’s almost like Courtney should’ve ended up with someone else that she was waaaay closer to in All Stars… oh well, Sundae Muddy Sundae ruined things as usual so I guess we’ll never know. Laris: …moving on. Jashawn: you know a ship is great when it carries an entire season. Enjoyable all the way throughout, overall an amazing ship. Skave: no. Just no. Derrie: they were a nice couple with nice buildup and yes I’m still pissed that Devin’s ex had the same name as me. Crimui: shockingly this is the most healthy relationship in the series. They were great throughout and I enjoyed seeing them. Stephyan: Stephanie is a bitch and I wish they didn’t get back together. Ryan was cool tho. Nemma: great ship, I’m really glad they got together, it was a logical progression for both characters.

for the couples that VGMarkis skipped over i will explain it myself. Chris and Larry: Larry started off as a Venus flytrap and Chris had an amazing time with Larry but he was left on the island and mutated by the toxic waste, they still had a relationship together. In all stars they decided to have kids. They didn't get a lot of screen time but they were still a pretty healthy couple Sky and Dave: They both had feelings for each other but Sky rejected him because of the competition. Dave tried to win Sky over but it didn't really happen until the last episode. It didn't last long as Sky's audition tape revealed that she had a boyfriend, she was planning to break up with him but she didn't have enough time. After dave heard about this he has gone completely insane. This is why most people hate Dave.

Having a partner with DID myself, I have some relation to Mike and Zoe's relationship. My partner was pretty nervous to tell me and his other partner about DID, and only recently came clean to his other partner about for sure having DID, meanwhile I knew for a few months now. I can understand why it would be hard for my partner to tell me and his other partner, especially because of how much people like fakeclaiming people with DID. Either way, any time I watch Mike and Zoe's relationship now I can see little bits that remind me of us. Even when Veto comes out and simps for Anne Maria it reminds me of certain alters who are more close to other people and who I don't know as well in comparison cuz then I get a bit jealous lol- In general I kinda like how Mike's DID was portrayed. Except the whole "Hey pushing this button will get rid of them and no more struggle" because for anyone who doesn't know uh yeah that doesn't happen. But the way some were older some were more sexual and some just seemed to have completely different hobbies was super nice to see. And pre-all stars Mike felt nice too because for once there was DID representation without them having an "alter ego" with a serial killer lol- The way Mal was handled though was actually kind of accurate at times too. Sometimes an alter can get front stuck and they're not able to switch out a lot. And Mal reminds me of this alter that my partner had who was a little *too* close to the little alters so people all saw him as dangerous, just like Mike's alters do for Mal. Luckily, it doesn't just take a bonk in the head for an evil alter to suddenly get front stuck in real life lol-

I’d say my favorite Total Drama couple was Crimson and Ennui, I just always enjoyed seeing them together

I hate the fact that the writers gave up on Trent after he and Gwen broke up. There was so much that could've been done to develop his character more. The fact that he, the musician, was left out of World Tour was an unforgivable crime.

Sam and Dakota are my all time favorite couple, i love how Sam still liked Dakota after she turned into a mutant monster, and seeing him coming back in all stars because he wanted to become a mutant just like her is one of my favorite moments of the show

My favorite is Lesharold, and I kinda feel like they kinda were implied to have gotten back together in World Tour

Technically not canon, but my favorite couple is Jacques and Josee. Maybe it’s because they’re already my favorite characters from that season, but I still really enjoy their dynamic. They’ve got that Jessie/James from Pokémon dynamic going on, lol. As for actual canon, my fave has to be Crimson and Ennui for being drama-free and surprisingly wholesome.

Aleheather was always my favorite. They were the first fictional couple I wanted to see get together, and I still love their dynamic today lol. And I absolutely agree with the Gwuncan thing. I feel like Duncan & Gwen work as friends, but nothing more

You forgot Brody and Macarthur from Total Drama RR/ They are a couple because they have mutual attraction because throughout the season Brody likes her for being a strong woman while Macarthur didn't care about him that's because she was a jerk to everyone including her partner Sanders at first. At the end of the show she treated Sanders better and in the Surfers ending she said to Brody to call her soon implying that she likes him. You also forgot Vito and Anne Maria because they have mutual attraction because when Vito got trigged for the first time in the show Anne Maria fell for him on the spot and when she kisses him to motive him to help the team win a challenge he put himself into the game. Vito is considered his own person same thing with Mike's other personalities so he and Anne Maria should qualify for this list.

There isn't mutual attraction between them in World Tour because Cody was not into her because Sierra was a stalker to him and didn't give him space and Cody was scared of her because she wouldn't leave him alone While Sierra wouldn't take no as an answer and keep pursing him. At the start of revenge of the island they were hugging each other on the boat of the old cast and Cody didn't seem to mind the hug so Cody seem to be comfortable around her but they're just friends.

Gwen and Cameron are good friends because they both needed an ally because everyone in the show hated Gwen for kissing Duncan behind Courtneys back and Cameron was put on the villain's team so that he can avoid Sierra. Both got along well on the villain's team because they are both good people who got put on the villain's team because of Chris being a sadist.

I believe that I agree with ur opinions about all of the couples in this show, especially my all-time favorite: Mike & Zoey. It's so nice to hear that someone else besides me and my friends who also love it gives them the dedication, recognition, and love they so really deserved. Also love u avoiding Dave & Sky, am on board with that as well, made me laugh and sympathize with u, with the exception of Shawn & Jasmine being the saving grace of Pahkitew Island.

Good news bro there's a new total drama season that was leaked this October 2022.

i definitely think bridgette and geoff were in the “honeymoon phase” the longest- they were literally making out from the episode in tdi where you could see all the eliminated conteststants, all the way through season 2 until season 3 where they were seperated. (over one whole season of “the honeymoon phase) and in season 2 their whole personalities were basically just kissing and occasionally geoff would be a hollywood diva.

I love how happy Tyler got when Lindsey remembered his name.

I feel like the only one who actually liked Courtney x Scott, at least for a while. After Duncan well cheated and did all that, I remember not liking him at all and then Courtney finding Scott, who, while yea random choice to be together, seemed well and cute together because while Duncan complained about her bossy attitude, Scott GENUINELY liked that about her (‘liked taking orders’ etc). But yeah the fact they moved too fast did end up messing that up.

my favourite were alheather and Duncney and my least favourite was courtney and alejandro. I liked other ships too but gwent was boring and gwencan was toxic

I genuinely didn't even know Crimson and Ennui were dating until Episode 11, where Ennui confirmed. But, they are literally the healthiest couple in Total Drama. Change my mind.

MIKE X ZOEY are my favorite caracters and favorite Couple i wish we can see them again stronger even though they won or just some cameos like revenge of the island and I hope the creator makes this couple get married as grown ups because they deserve eachother like Geoff and Bridgett Sam and Dakota these couples must have a good future even their teenagers they have time to know eachother and their build up was so AWSOME

My favourite couple is Owen and Izzy because it is rlly funny how they love each other but can’t understand how to sya it

Bridgette the Geoff were the longest loveable couples throw out the whole show, like if you think so too.

Well I Do But kinda Ruined Geoff in Action but after all It’s good

My favourite couple is probably Aleheather, they just match so well together idk and they are for me the prettiest characters so yeah

I really liked Trent and Gwen but it was sad what happened in action because they would have been an amazing couple together

9:49 I gotta say, I don't think them changing back to goths necessarily negated anything they said. It didn't break any of their logic, they made it clear that it was the blackness inside that counted more than the appearance, but both still preferred to express themselves as goths wearing obscene amounts of makeup and wigs. They learned to accept each other for who they were regardless of appearance, and were rewarded for it passing that conflict by finding something they both clearly valued, the first time they ever both smiled in the entire show was looking at each other when they were degothed in the car, and that smile *increased* as they found even more overtly gothic clothes. They said it themselves, they never felt closer to each other than that experience. It was super sweet. Although yeah, it also would have been nice to see them un-gothed for an episode mostly because degothed Crimson is top 10 cutest Total Drama characters.

I hated Pahkitew Island as a season but Shawn and Jasmine were hands down the best part about it, both as individual characters and as a couple. Their relationship song should be Walk With Me In Hell by Lamb of God.

The relationship between Ryan and Stephanie feels like the relationship between Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith

If i wrote scott × courtney in allstars to make it flow a bit more natural. Id keep scott being attracted to courtney's bratty and her bossiness. However id have courtney reject scott quite a bit. Going through a tsundere phase. Instead of making them instantly fall inlove. Basically i would have rather have them have a relationship dynamic that would be new. Lovesick puppy × tsundere. Eventually i would have had them fall inlove where some signs are there from one saving the other to body language before the accidental kiss. You know what they say. Actions are stronger than words.

I hated the ship because of how rushed it was. Wish they were written more realistically. Because scott felt accurate. Meanwhile courtney was teh opposite. I would have rather had her act rather tsundere than act too soft towards scott. Courtney's tsundere actions in TDA would have worked a lot better..

The one thing I was happy about with how Mike's D.I.D. was depicted was actually in how when other alters in Mike's system were flirting with her she would treat them like another person flirting with her, infact the whole cast treated each personality like a different person. I hate his character arc ending though, would have much preferred if they acknowledge that Mal was a part of the system the body needed at one point in life but just didn't need any more instead of just yeeting his disorder.

I was 11 when I saw TDI and so of course I stereotypically wanted Gwen and Duncan to get together because they seemed so much alike (and Gwen was my favorite TDI girl). However, after seeing how well her and Trent got along and finally seeing them become a couple I switched my mind and thought that they were far better together. I hated how the show changed Trent in TDA and ruined their relationship. They were just so good together and one of my earliest OTPs.

Tbh I really dislike Duncan with any of the two girls. The only time I shipped 2 girls was thanks to my sister who opened my eyes to the fact that those 2 have way better chemistry than any of the cannon couples.

Okay I have a question and would like some input how total drama world tour would have ended if the plane never got blown up by Sierra because we see in the votes that same episode that Al would have been eliminated had the plane not exploded

I'm still thinking about the Coderra ship since like Cody never stated anything about having a relationship with Siera but at the same time he and Sierra ended together in a hug in season 4 however that could be a friend hug i dont know, i pretty much like their dinamic but since i dont knos anything of them as a couple i cant really say anything

The goths ironically had the most stable relationship in the entire series.

I always routed for Geoff and Bridget. While Geoff’s forgiveness of her almost cheating is dicey, if it were real, it would be couples counselling for sure. I was glad to hear in the Ridonculous Race that they were still together

I heard the writers wanted Trent and Gwen, but Cartoon Network saw how popular Gwen and Duncan was.

As a character, Trent is favorite. But as a pairing, have to give it to Jasmine and Shawn.

Heres my thoughts on some ships: duncney was okay until they became official, because Courtney became abusive and toxic towards him, making him lose sleep, read paragraphs, and change himself to date her, gwuncan was sweet until duncan just started using gwen to make his ex (Courtney) jealous, which i think was horrible tbh. Scortney: i liked Courtney and scott, mostly Courtney to scott and not scott to Courtney, he was a lil annoying to watch at times. Gwent: i loved this ship, super cute, until Trent started being obsessive and overall weird, they wernt even supposed to break up but the people above the creators of total drama made the creators make them break up, which just makes me really mad
