Thank you, for repairing my thorogood work boots. Normally would just throw away after I got my use, these are $275 pair of work boots. I would highly recommend to those who are, like I was just buying new. I will be a returning customer on other boots

I just visited my first cobbler last week, had a pair of Chukka boots that one of the tongues was slipping onto the left pretty bad, he stitched it right up no charge. I'll definitely get my boots resoled with him. Hopefully cobblers will still stay in business in this market right now of disposable items.

That's great your experience was positive am happy he helped you out. I'm in Texas and if it wasn't because of Cowboy Boots I wouldn't be in business every one need to stay away from non repairable shoes or boots. Like you mention disposable shoes or boots spread the word thank you for that 👍

for sure! this shop does repairs and stitching on a ton of other products like bags, furniture, etc. But yes I can understand! Seems like its one of the old ways thats slowly dying off unfortunately@@lonestarcobblershoebootrep2954

I don't know how many cobblers are losing too much business because most of the ones I contact seem to only want to do resoles and not any more complicated work. Maybe it's different where you are for whatever reason.

I try to repair pretty much any repair that comes towards my way the only issue I'm starting to have is that some of my equipment is very old and can't repair modern shoes so I do repair mostly Cowboys boots and Work boots maybe that's the case hard to tell and upgrading new equipment sure would be nice but I guess time will tell. I have the 6 inch version of this boot and was told by a cobbler that it would be cheaper to just by some new ones!!! How he’s in business is beyond me.. how is it possible for price on a repair cost more than a new pair of the same boots, that makes no sense to me.. he was saying something about having to put a leather welt. Some bs about how the factory sands them down to short..

I don't know about that, I do get a lot of Cowboy boots and work boots to resole and I'm in a warehouse to keep the prices low as possible. If the welt is cracked and beyond repair then it may not be worth it but so fat my prices are very reasonable to compared buying new ones besides there broken in that's what makes it more worth repairing them . Our only cobbler on island (Maui) said she won't resole thorogood boots because they "are too well made". So I have to buy new every year and throw away boots that would probably last another five years if it wasn't for the worn out soles.
What do you recommend if I wear out one side of the boot faster at the heel

For some costumers I've done in the past , when they noticed it's wearing the heel corner down I replace the heel part with a harder rubber but I only have it in black it's hard to get a light color to match
