From what I hear, Thorogood is about the most comfortable work boot. If you might not need something so heavy-duty, look into the pull on style (no laces) of Blundstone, I hear they are know for comfort.

Great job Aaron! I can tell you're all about doing things the correct way and doing right by the customer. I have high arches and love my Allen Edmonds Higgins Mill with heel and danite sole. Also check out the Alden's Indy's I know both of these shoea are expensive, but will last a lifetime.

Outstanding work. I may have to drop off my Chisholm boots to have the heel caps replaced. The leather stack is fine. The rubber is thin and there's a plastic spacer that broke up on one.

Love the red stitching. I didn't know that could be custom

Thanks John I had a pair about 6 months ago, just not good for me, but I have a pair of the Briar Pitstop I loved them and I only wear them in fall and winter those are the only thorogood boots i liked!

Another great video Aaron 👍. You said you wanted comfortable work boots but not necessarily expensive you could look at Blundstones. Very comfortable.

Excellent work, except for the white soles... Yes I know it's customer request, but I hate the white soles. Makes it easy to look filthy. RSR, I do have a question: do the black boots mark? I know the white wedges don't mark, but do the blacks mark? That's the only reason why I think people like the white and cream soles.

Aaron I think you contact Nicks Boot and have a customs pair of boot made for your feet The break can hurt for a bit but well worth the long time

You should try White's Perry Moc Toes. They are the most comfortable boots I own. They do run wide though.

You can but as you saw the previous cobbler use a flat welt and it looks terrible, because storm welt is taller and leaves a deep mark that a regular welt will never cover Thanks!!

Can you swap the insole on those? Maybe give the ol Redwing supersole 2.0 with a Redwing insole that matches your foot. Going on almost 2 years with mine and I'm 250 pounds running 12 shifts in a print shop on my feet on concrete. Just maybe don't resole them😬

I had the Wingshooter they have the same sole, but the steel toe was killing me I guess I have to try them out, I like them!

I think you should get low work shoes instead of boots, you'll be much more comfortable.

To be honest I’ve tried them both and I didn’t like them, but thorogood are definitely better than Carolina’s.

I will be getting my boots back from a local cobbler in a week or so. If they don’t do a good job, I will ship them to you.

Instead of insisting on traditional boots for work, try something else. I absolutely love the sort of boots you repair, but I cannot wear the type of boots you repair. They hurt my feet, make my back ache, and are too hard for my legs. I have to wear like Under Armour boots and things like that. Even my safety boots, hiking boots, everything are hybrid boots that resemble sneakers a little.
