I cant wait for the "Thorfinn, I forgive you." scene where I can feel Thorfinn's emotion on the manga panel. Made me tear.

One thing I like about Vinland Saga, as shown in the manga later, they don't overplay the anime/manga trope of big sister kicking the little brother's ass. Later in the story Ylva tries to attack Thorfinn again but he evades it that time easily.

I guess that's true to some extent but still I am doubtful if he would have his father's intelligence. He's already extremely evasive but if he had a bigger frame, he would be an exact duplicate of Thors but regardless, he's still one of the top fighters in the show. I think malnourishment is one reason why he hasn't grown much I think he could still grow to a healthy average of 5'4 to 5'7.

I wish they added the line that his mother said- "You have your father's eyes" or something along those lines in the manga. It's just a little detail though but it gives a thought that a mother will never forget their child

It is a little bit better in the manga imo. It double as acknowledgement that he now have learn something from Thors. The wording of having his father's eyes specifically is intentional.

Taking punch is easier when you're prepared, u can roll with the punched and make the impact less sevire rather than taking it head on the heaviest and most impactful hit were when they were cought off-guard. Theres just something so odd yet so rewarding and sincere in following Thorfinn's journey, watching him become obsessed and absolutely insane, and then turning into a full pacifist and finally coming home... only for this man who played a massive part in the current King's uprising to be manhandled by his own sister. 5:10 is just a hilarious frame.

That moment where his mother recognises him always makes me cry
