War of the realms begun Time to play the heavy metal music

Now THIS is how you do an event. You build up the proper events in advance. And once everything is set up, fill it with the proper Specticle and Scope. Earth is being invaded by a nordic themed D&D campain. Who wouldn't want to see this?

I feel like this needs to go into my D&D campaign.

I didn't care about war of realms, was aware of the last 5yrs but now I have to pick it up

Reminds me of Inferno. Other dimensional forces try to invade earth and take over. Limbo or Asgard.

I'm most happy for the creators. A ton of comic buyers have slept on Aaron's Thor run(which is criminal), especially the Jane Foster Thor issues(also criminal) so Dauterman's art is now reaching a wider audience, which is great. If there are those of you impressed with what you see, I implore you to go back to the 8-issue Thor run and the 25 issue Mighty Thor, both which are full of beautiful art. While you're at it, go back to Aaron's beginning with Thor in Thor: God of Thunder, which also includes beautiful contributions from Esad Ribic.

Loved this issue. Continuesnright on from Aaron's Thor run. Btw Odin's not dead, he uses the Odin force to kill the assassin's . Until Thor gets the Odin force Odin is alive

Do we know what happened to Jarnbjorn? I feel that Thor could deal some serious damage with it and not use hundreds of cheap hammers...

I think it's in the armory. Nothing has happened with it since Thor and Odin revived Jane Foster.

I thought the comic was overall, excellent. I had been annoyed about a handful of assassins creeping into Odin's Throne Hall and executing him, but maybe the point you were making at the end of the video is the right one.

Odin's story is one of a proud fool that cares for those around him. However, his actions do nothing but drive those same people away. Having him die to a dark elf assassin is a weak way for him to go, but he made himself vulnerable by acting in outrageous ways. It adds weight to the threat by taking the All-Father off the board, but also punctuates the fall of Odin and the culture of Old Asgard, which lies in ruins around him. I look forward to him coming back (because comics) and seeing him redeemed in some way.

MrMike11233 money is that Odin will come back near the end with an illusion spell disguise because no body mean no death in comic

Don't think anyone should be skipping the Thor tie-in. It just makes sense

People seem to have forgotten that Secret Empire had a great first issue (or is it zero issue?). I chose to reserve my judgement after going through that shitty event.

THIS IS HOW YOU MAKE A GREAT START TO AN EVENT! Loved the art. About the two deaths: well, Odin has his reasons. If you're reading Thor, Odin spent all his energy and magic sending Cul to Svartalfheim and almost dying when he fighted Thor, so being killed by the deadliest assassins in the Ten Realms is not that bad as it looked. But I think that he isn't dead. One of the ravens escaped so that could mean something. About Loki, It could be an illusion, because Doctor Strange sent Malekith and (probably) Loki to another dimensional plain. What are your thoughts?

Odin will return. Loki maybe. The old Loki with the necrosword, remember?

@@caiomile664 I don't think old Loki will come to the past... Jason Aaron said he will write more three issues in thor about war of realms aftermatch so maybe that battle (old thor vs old loki with necrosword) will happen there.
