That was extremely similar to the cfmoto 500 2012 i worked on built wise. They are quite easy to work on honestly, took me like 4 hours to remove the carburetor, clean it completely and assemble it again. It was my first time working on it too. One thing i couldn't fix was the choke pulling back automatically, had to hold it down everytime manually. It worked but kind of annoying.

I bought a ATV from a customer that would have costed him more that what the 2003 yamaha would have costed him brand new. He neglected to service the coolant system and had to replace everything. Hello Aaron. I have the same year grizzly as is shown in the video. I had a clicking noise in the front right side of machine. Saw the boot and come off. All the grease was gone out of the cv joint. So I disassembled the cv joint and axle shaft assembly. I found out a few things the hard way when I pulled the shaft off the snap ring fell off behavior the bearing toward the diff. I finally figured out that a C ring was holding the bearing assembly in the housing. I was able to get the housing out of the diff by gently prying on it. The question I have is that bearing and the bearing in the cv joint the same ??? I watched another video where it showed how to get the bearing out of the CV joint in a car so I tried it on my 4 wheeler and it worked. I could have probably just replaced the bearing if they are the same size. In the disassembly process the ripped the upper ball joint boot come to find the ball joint is welded to the A frame. So I have to replace the whole A frame for the upper ball joint. Not to mention I messed up the threads on the tie rod and upper ball joint. Where do you recommend buying parts for this machine and would you strictly replace with OEM Thanks Aaron. Sorry it’s so long just like to pass info on so other people can be informed

Well I would just replace the whole cv axle. It's a lot easier & less time consuming. I'm not sure about the bearing sizes tho. I pretty much stopped replacing the cv axle boot if there is clicking & popping unless my customer really insisted on it. Sucks to hear about the ball joint that someone welded on. I honestly have has pretty good luck with some aftermarket cv axles. But I do always try to recommend staying with OEM unless I'm asked not to due to cost

  • @limitlesspowersportsservic3394

It's the starter relay & not the starter solenoid burning up? Hmmmm the relay wiring could have a short to ground somewhere after the fuse. I believe that really runs off of the main fuse with should be a 30amp fuse. The only time the relay should be completing the circuit is when you're pushing the start switch which energize the relay & let's power pass through to the starter solenoid.

Hey Mick. Sorry for the delayed responce. Jus saw this comment. It sounds like you might have a clutch issue. Take the cvt cover off & check the clutches out. The primary clutch might need to be cleaned & re greased. Sounds like the belt has tention on it causing the secondary clutch to turn making it hard ro shift into gear & making it grind. Also check the Idle. if its to high it can cause the same issue.

She starts with choke off, but it will dei on me sometimes, But when I give her choke, the idle sounds fine, never dei. So evertime I ride, I will give her gas a bit and choke off. Yeah a lot of times you have to choke them a little bit when you first start them & let them warm up a little bit. Then you should be able to turn the choke off & it should Idle with out any problems. If you're using the choke while you're riding it then it's most likely a clogged pilot jet. When you say non serviceable carb are you referring to the float bowl screws being flat & noway to take them out? If so you can cut a small slot in them & use a flat head screwdriver to take them out & replace the with the proper thread pitch & length philip head screw.

Any time I us aftermarket carb I alway take them apart & check all the jets & gaskets. I have gotten them where the jets were not the correct size , float bowl full of grease, missing 0-rings, gaskets, fuel needle ect... The pet cocks really suck because of the cheap ass rubber they use in them. Gas pretty much turns them into mush. Sorry about fast forwarding past the things you say people watch this for. Those would be your trigger wires for the push button start. They should just plug in right near the mounting point of the starter solenoid. I can remember if they are individual bullet connectors are if it's just on connector.

Have you ever run across an ATV that has been sitting that's not repairable

Hey David. Everything is repairable if parts are available are you have a donor bike. Now is it worth the time & $$ is a completely different topic altogether lol. Sometimes to create content as a KZreadr we do spend more money than it is worth to fix. I personally hate seeing quads & bikes go to waste. But $$ plays a big factor sometimes.

I was given a Yamaha grizzly 660 and a grizzly 125. I haven't received them. Buddy went through nasty divorce. I will get up with you when I get these in my possession. Thanks for the great videos
