Another tip : don't wear an orange jacket, so you don't stand out in the street ! 😉😊

It’s really not that simple. If it’s a vibrant culture you might fit in wearing orange. Also giving off a bright positive vibe can make you seem friendly while wearing black and trying to hide can seem mysterious and cause fear
To be super discreet, I’ve learned to shoot from hip (stomach to be exact) with the camera just hanging innocently from my neck, and be aware of the zone range of my lens. Walk up to subject, turn your head sideways pretending looking for a target, and silently hit the shutter
Hello pierre welcome to Nepal 🇳🇵 I'm very happy to see you here in our country. I've been following you since 2 years and i loved your every photography techniques LOT'S OF LOVE ❤
Thank you Pierret Lambert for exploring our country Nepal. We are so lucky to have you in Nepal. Have a wonderful trip..
I'm loving this education series you're doing lately, Pierre! My big takeaway from this video was how to discretely take photos on the street with a DSLR (AKA shooting from the hip). I hadn't thought of carrying it in my arms that way. Thank you for the super helpful tips and safe travels!
Always keep moving- love that one- that's how I do it- sometimes I try to stay for something interesting to happen, but I get bored so fast!
Thank you for sharing so many wonderful photos and tips!
toujours un plaisir tes pti tips!
Hey a fan from Nepal i have been following you for a long time and watching you shot on the street of Nepal is really Awesome. keep creating and keep inspiring ❤
Great tips and excellent photographs. Thanks for sharing!
Excellent practical advice. Thank you Pierre.
Great street photography tips here, if you’ve never tried it, watch these tips, and away you go. Great educational content and super images 👏👏👏
Great video, Pierre. I use these techniques quite a bit in my street photography. Great advice and presentation. Cheers from Mumbai~
Super vidéo. Essayer les choses pratiquer s inspirer des conseils c est ce que j ai fait en inde il y a quelques mois et je suis content des résultats. Merci pour toutes ces vidéos très ludiques.
I used that last technique when I was in Paris, France and got some good results. I am in Atlanta, Georgia and people approach me just as much as I approach them. I use a 24mm and 85mm. The 85mm lets you stay more hidden and you can get that compressed background to isolate a subject
I followed your advice of chacing the light, and it really worked for me! massive thanks!!!!
Thank you ❤
What lens in your opinion is best for street photography 85mm or 35mm? Any filters you recommend 🙏🏻?
really informative video , thanks pierre

You're welcome :)
Do you still use the GM1 70-200 or the GM2? Have you taken a look at the Sigma DG DN 70-200? Trying to find a good new telephoto, and hoping to view your opinions.
Love the new themes on the videos how to shoot in boring cities
Comprehensive video❤️🙏
Thank you, it was interesting. Love from Iran
Top vidéo ! En effet les deux derniers tips je fais pareil, si il n’y avait qu’un objectif que tu prendrais en voyage pour le street, se serait lequel ?
Another technique that is overlooked is "zone focusing" which precludes any autofocus issues.
I have an old camera a 7D, will a newer lense make the photos better?
Not invisible in that bright orange jacket!
I am looking at 56mm 1.4 for potrait and nice bokeh. Which brand should i go ? Sigma/samyang or sony?
Thanks for those awesome tips Sir 😊❤️ Your big fan from Kolkata, India 😄 I'm also a Street Photographer who loves capturing stories like you... I hope I will meet with you someday...😇
I love the videos ❤❤❤

Nice shots
Hello Pierre, Welcome to Nepal. Happy to see you here, a bit shocked as well. If possible, Please create a photowalk with you or meet up with all your followers from Nepal? Have fun exploring and Enjoy our beautiful country.
Hy, I just found out you are posting photos around Kathmandu which are awesome. Are you planning to visit Pokhara, Nepal as well? I would prefer to visit it is also great place to test photos on.
Hey, I've just started watching your videos around a week ago while searching for the right camera setup. Thank you for making these contents, they are really amazing. I'm planning on getting the a7iv with 16-35 mm f/2.8 GM, both used. what do you think about this setup? I have past experience with photography, especially landscape and street, trying to go back to the hobby after finishing my degree. your advice would help me a lot. Thanks

Hi!! Thanks for the kind words. Yes I can say these are great options :)
Superb👍
Do you always ask the people if they mind before posting their pic?
Main camera in description says Riii? I find that incorrect as i usually see you with the a1 lol. It is actually my favorite Sony sensor though. I returned the Riv and still use Riii's. I will probably buy more when mine crap out.

Thank uou for visiting our country love from nepal❤
for #2 did u shoot all these shots with longer exposure without a tripod? I assume your camera/lens has an incredible good image stabilizer or is it just your steady hands?

Welcome Nepal ❤🇳🇵
Hi Pierre, I am Into Street Photography and I really found your tips very useful to my photography. I especially like the first tip, THE INVISIBLE CORNER I am sometimes self conscious of asking people to take their photos. But I still ask people if I can take there photo. Nice night photos I like the different colours that pop out. How can anyone say no to you about being photographed, you are friendly and it comes across that way. Thanks for the tips, 😊

Bro, u have a lot of sick gears, gimme some 😂
I use an 85 or 135 for street photography. What lens are you using?

It also says he uses Riii....I don't remember the last time I saw him using a Riii lol. Also says he used 70-200 for the shots in this video. 50 12 for a few at the end. Not once is he using the 70-200. Almost looks like he has the 24-105 in some of the shots. Can't really tell on my jacked up phone screen

He used a 35mm f1.4 in this video. But I wouldn't recommend that for street though. Smaller lenses way more practical
Nice....very nice bro ... Goood👌👌👌👌👌
i think making the thumbnail a shot similar to @2:27 will be more effective - nice video!

Thanks!! I thought about it but it seemed super "busy" visually. Maybe will a/b test in a day or two?
Which country?
🎉🎉🎉
This is for me 😂 every time I decide to go out and do street photography, i cant full out my camera inside the bag and decided to go home. My social anxiety hit me so hard.
Are you still in Nepal?
Merci pour ces tips ! Sinon c'est ou ? Vietnam ? 🤔

Go invisible in your orange jacket 😂
Hard to be invisible with that jacket😂
👍
I've always wanted to be a photographer but the equipment is so expensive😢
It's a shame that I didn't know about Taiwan, I learned a lot from your video
The invisible corner … just creepy. Interaction with people, totally cool.
super discreet with huge camera, clunky lens and bright colored jacket :)

I've mastered the ability of standing so incredibly still... that I become invisible to the eye - Drax
How can you make money from street photography?
I see you are using a UV filter? I thought u were against UV filters?
blend in with a crowd while wearing a bright red jacket? Well... :)
How can a trained photographer take poor photos in Nepal? That's a "scene" GOLDMINE! I enjoyed the video, thanks!
First thing. Slowly extend the camera around a corner. I'd be wondering if someone is trying to make me crazy. That's the creepiest thing I've seen in a long time. Who would such a thing!

😂😂said like that it does sound creepy haha but imagine you don’t want to disturb a beautiful scene. Heck could even be your family having a nice eminent and you don’t want to interrupt :)
Hmmm "be discrete/invisible".. as if no one noticed the white guy with the red jacket and big backpack.... and no it is not a thermos in his hands.... on the other hand, I like your work ...
first tip not creepy at all :))

Haha depends on how you use it. It's all about being discrete to document life without interfering with it
You will not become invisible if you are the only one in the crowd wearing a bright red jacket!
