Hello Taryl, I like the way you fix the mower. What you did to the Zero turn I did the same thing to a bucket truck that had intermittent cycle issues. Fixed it the same way you did Taryl. I also added three wires that were over a hundred foot long. Boom height is 90 foot. What I would like to know from you is what brand would you suggest to purchase that is used ??? I want to keep the costs on the lower side. Thank you for your time and I enjoy the video show. Keep on doing what you do Taryl. My I suggest you do a few better brands to purchase for the average homeowner Sir. Good day Sir. vf

People that make videos so people like me can take someone else's junk, fix it and make a few bucks while helping people like me are the real heroes. First year I did window ACs I bought for $2 each I was able to buy a Ford Ranger and give away 56 here in New Hampshire. Now I do whatever I get my hands on from bicycles, lawnmowers, furniture and appliances to reclaiming wood and fixing cars. I'm not rich but I'll never go without.

That's what I do with Wheel Horse. The later series 300,400,500 had some cheap features that Toro put in. The C160 is probably the best tractor they ever built. Then Toro bought Wheel Horse and used up the parts inventory I got a great deal on a 314 Toro/Wheel Horse and you have to check under the belt guard for failure to the drive belt idler plastic pulley bushing. I had a failure on a 520 and had to adapt an oillite bronze bushing to take up the slop. Thanks Toro

Yes, The GT 150 Series is one of many GM/Delphi connector. While many "car" plugs of all brands are "Weather Resistant," coat terminals and body with silicone grease helps make sure any water that gets in can't cause rust for all. Because the seals often "fail" if wires are bend or pulled sideways near the connector body. Or If installed with wires pointing down even with the cover as above, water can sit and wick down thru any seal.

When I’m finished mowing with my 0 turn I give it an air bath from my air compressor. It gets rid of all the grass and dirt and leaves the mower clean and dry. So I hope that the plug ins don’t get the green crustys. It would take a real grass rat to unplug and grease all the plug ins on a new mower but maybe you should. With the dialectic grease Great video. Be careful with that pressure washer.

Good to see your way Taryl, Thought I would mention my way. If you remove the battery platform (2 bolts) the whole plate comes out really easily and you can install the module from the top with one person. Also as you mention elskins didn't need to remove the gears to disable the parking mechanism, simply take a 10mm and remove what I would call the pawl, It's the part that connects to the module to physically engage/dis-engage the mechanical braking system. It's really easy to remove each 10mm bolt (thread it back in) and let the two arms dangle. push it all day now. Another thing that makes installing the plastic cover ALOT easier is to un-bolt the solenoid and move it a little bit, which gives you the room to properly install the cover and start the problem bolt, which can be tightened (as you mentioned) through the access hole in the frame.

If they (Toro, or should that be Zoro) can’t even put electric grease on the terminals, what faith do we have in the companies making the new age mower’s getting it right at the factories. I had to order the terminals from Oregon specifically, and return on the switch with a brand new PTO plunger switch. I had the same thing on the same model 2 years ago at the dealership. Terminal broke and all corroded. It was not easy like u said to get out and that cover is a pain! Good work!

T ! Love ya but need to chip in that yes, I do have that mower. And I did need to replace that part a few years ago. Couple things...It is very hard to get to and I probably wouldn't have done it myself if I had seen this video beforehand. I swapped out my module from underneath and didn't really take off nearly as many parts as you did. Fortunatly I did not have the damaged connector to deal with but I do think that installing the annoying cover is an attempt to protect that connection. It is always a little thrilling to diagnose and fix something like this and your videos are remendously helpful. Thanks

I wish you made this video 2 months ago, lol . I did it the long way. I replaced the module then the whole wire harness. I found it for $100 on eBay. So spent 260 total.

GT 150 is used for a bunch of GM car headlights like say a 2018 Malibu. I'd have to look it up but for a whole bunch of terminal types GM sells what is called a 'terminated lead' which is just a terminal pre-crimped to a length of wire. Good for a diy because a person can make that repair with just a dental pick and basic crimp splices or solder instead of a specialized set of terminal crimpers.

Nice fix Taryl. You would think the engineers at Toro would design this differently. Good to see the old Elkskins. A lot of dealers would charge a fortune to fix this. Taryl has my respect for saving us grass rats some money.

Remove the brake and change the ignition circuts to switches, or back on the key. Like it should be, some simple screw to set brake

Great video. Having to look for parts like that seems part of my usual evening trying to repair machinery that is to complex for what reason? Only problem I saw was you disconnected the battery positive first instead of negative first. It would be interesting to find out who was on the design team, and their experience/qualifications that they brought to this product.
