I wasn't in literal prison but took care of our disabled daughter at home for 26 years. I fought with God over what I felt was a waste of her life and mine. When she was about 8 years old I began to see, ever-so-slightly, how God was drawing me closer to Him in our secluded life. God revealed how much more He could do through not healing her. She died at the age of 26 and somehow, through some unexplainable process, even though I lost my little girl, I came out loving Jesus more than I ever knew I could. It was His process and it was perfect. He truly knows how to refine us on a personal level. Love your testimony!

Brother Minor, I have been watching and listening to your channel for several months now and I believe it is one of the best Christian channels on KZread. I was especially touched by your testimony and your reply to the woman who emailed you about faith. Your response was spot on and I got emotional right along with you. Too many people think faith is like money in the bank and they can add to it on their own whenever they want to. Faith is just believing in and trusting God no matter what goes on in your life and as you do this, your faith will increase. Too many people, pastors included, have told people that bad things happened to them because they did not have enough faith. I think that is one of the worst things anyone can say to a milk-fed Christian (a meat-fed Christian will not believe or accept that). I praise God for what you went through and that you came out clean on the other side. I trust you will keep speaking the truth.

Your faith will make you whole my sister, as long as it's in JesusChrist: but your sins can separate you from you and JesusChrist as well. God tells us to Go out into all the world, and finish the work, which JesusChrist started, know you not that JesusChrist never stopped until he was stopped. The world is not living that way today, our sins have separated us from from our God in JesusChrist, Isaiah 59:2. If we don't repent, turn from these ways we will die in are sins, if we don't believe JesusChrist walked, and did not stop, preaching...... JesusChrist sure didn't go into no building that today they call church, and do what they did, instead Jesus rebuked them!!!! And today, Jesus rebuked them too!!!!!!! So what you gon do??? I'm going outside and teach, and help my brothers and sisters; because to gain in this world, is death to God, but to tell about God's Word, in the name of JesusChrist, is life to God.....

Soooo timely! I have been explaining my faith walk to my family and friends who have been pressuring me to make certain decisions that they think are in my best interest but God hasnt released me to make as yet. Their argument- but suppose something negative happens because of what you feel God has led you to do? My answer to all and sundry is this - Me exercising my faith does not mean that I think nothing bad will ever happen to me. For many are the afflictions of the righteous says scripture, but it is more standing on the promise of the other portion of that same scripture; but God is faithful to deliver us from them all. Additionally, deliverance does not necessarily always mean to be taken out of trials and negative experiences it also means that your place in God's Kingdom will never be taken away. You will not be defeated in your journey of walking with Him no matter how awful it may get. Even in death, there is no loss because to live is Christ to die is gain. So faith is for me that I will be obedient to God, trusting Him not only as a measure of protection from negativity but also protection and assurance that I am in no way forsaken DURING negativity. Most of the disciples died horrific deaths. Their commitment and faith to God did not deny them all the horrors of this life but it ensured them of the ultimate deliverance of being ushered into His presence. THAT is the basis of MY faith.🙌🙌🙌

If "something negative happens because of what you feel God has led you to do" is because God allowed it to happen. Sometimes people who say those things don't have the right relationship with God themselves so they will not understand your journey. I totally agree with your comment.

Testimonies like these are powerful. In fact, they really encourage me.... seriously.

You’ve talked about your testimony before and I’m blessed to know you more and more as we study His Word together, and I hadn’t got an opportunity to catch this original testimony- but I did and God’s timing is always right, I hope others will take the time to listen to it and be reminded why it’s so eternally necessary to come to know the Lord everyday..every moment He graciously gifts us. How Awesome and Glorious our God, Our Lord Jesus, our Creator, our Living Saviour, our Deliverer and our Redeemer-Holy and Eternal is Your Name. Thank You for all things seen and unseen incomprehensible and known, that You have done, do, and are doing-that Your Will be done. Thank you for Your Grace and abundant Love and mercy, for forgiveness, guidance, correction, and for the life You give us and hold in Your Mighty hand! Thank you Corey for this encouragement, and thank God for encouraging you. To witness to others of your witness to God’s Righteousness Mercy and Work in you- to see His light shining through you, really does strengthen the certain hope we have in our Lord. Thank the Lord that he teaches us that growth in him does not come through the easy things, through the mountaintop experiences, but through the valleys! My daughter struggled with addiction and I had faith that God would deliver her and set her life upon a path of serving and living for him as he did me, so I was completely convinced that he would deliver her. My daughter died of an accidental overdose on August 1, 2019 at 33 years old, one week after her birthday, leaving behind her than seven-year-old who I am now raising. I remember leaving the mortuary screaming at God “I asked you to deliver her and not kill her” “This is you delivering her, really God?!” And I don’t remember when and where, but God, in that still, small voice spoke to me and said “I have delivered Ashlee” and as tragic as my daughter’s death was/is, I know that it was God who used this method of taking her from this earth and taking her out of the hands of the addiction that had destroyed her life, that God By his providential hand allowed things to go the way that they did concerning her passing. And for that I bless his name!

Very good preaching on this topic! This is one of the best explanation I've ever heard on going thru trials from a modern day preacher. How sad that years of the false Prosperity name it and claim it false Gospel has made many unlearned Christians think they are always supposed to be showered with a continuation of material wealth, hedonism and health. The great Apostle Paul said he prayed three times for God to release him from an ongoing affliction and this is what God said to him: 2 Corinthians 12:8-10 8 I asked the Lord three times about this, that it would depart from me. 9 But he said to me, “My grace is enough for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” So then, I will boast most gladly about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may reside in me. 10 Therefore I am content with weaknesses, with insults, with troubles, with persecutions and difficulties for the sake of Christ, for whenever I am weak, then I am strong.
