Lumin Hew has always been passionate about fashion, and even started sewing at age 11! But in her mid-teens she became more aware and exposed to the negative side of the industry.
Frustrated by seeing peers continue to support fast-fashion without knowing its impact, she founded Fashion Parade, a Gen-Z collective to galvanise Singapore's youth to become more eco-aware and thoughtful about their fashion choices.
Today, Fashion Parade has held numerous digital and physical events to engage youth around alternatives ways to enjoy fashion, from upcycling to secondhand, to supporting sustainable brands.
