We all struggle with motivation from time to time, it’s not bad to admit this. But it is bad, to allow yourself to stay unmotivated. There are many people who talk about motivation, as if it’s something that you get. But we have to realize, that motivation is just an emotion, and all emotions are transient, meaning they come and they go. So, you can rely on motivation, because it comes and it goes. Implementing this strategy will also force you to be self disciplined, because you really do have no other option.

They wish, they dream and they hope. And right now, they are sitting here reading these words, and I'm writing this for you so you dont feel alone anymore. Hey there! I hope you’re in a better situation now. Don’t dwell in the “others have it worse”. This probably came from someone who doesn’t want nor will help you or the others who have it worse. Even if you were doing great, others would still have it worse, but that wouldn’t diminish your life. Is that fair? No, life is not fair. Then work with what *you* can do. Work on what *you* have an impact on. You can’t change the fights between your mom and stepdad, but you can change how you deal with it. If you did something about it and the outcome was bad, do not do it again, maybe try something else. Of course, easier said than done; so don’t blame yourself if you repeat or, if you tried to change, for falling back into a pattern that is not effective. Being aware of something is the first step to change it. Remember: no one else has been in your shoes. They wouldn’t know how to deal with the stuff you dealt with. You are the one in control of only your actions, and they do affect your environment. They bring consequences, either good or bad ones. With all that said, I’d add just one more thing: try to be a good person, don’t harm others intentionally, and especially, don’t harm yourself (physically or mentally). Note that being good does not mean being a doormat, but I think this reply is getting too long to elaborate on that lmao

I was really scared and depressed at that time (14 y/o) so I decided to work very hard in my studies and get into public uni for better future. And that’s because of the bitterness of my life push me to strive for the best and there’s up and down throughout the path to success. With hard works and also help from beloved parents, teacher and friends I was able to get great results. I was very lucky and blessed for achieving that And I greatly appreciated it. Now I’m in public uni studying which is what I wanted and really happy achieve this. However, when your life is getting more comfortable, inner drive started to disappear and that’s is why comfort zone can be good and also can be very bad for you. I was losing motivations these days and I’m trying to gain back my drive and fighting spirits. Really appreciate abd thank to this video which really inspired me to be the old me again and strive hard for bigger goals in my life. Believe in yourself and i pray for all of the people to achieve their goal one day and always happy! Peace✌🏻❤️

My grandfather would hear my brothers and me arguing while watching MTV in the early 90’s about who was gonna own what kinda of car or mansions when we got older. One day he called us all to the front porch and told us to sit down. He would tell us that if we really wanted all these things in life, that we couldn’t allow ourselves to become comfortable. We had to be hungry to force this drive out from within us to actually become who we saw ourselves as. Best advice ever!

You could do what Lilith Box said, or, learn what grit is.... Grit is the realization of the true grit in your life that prevents you from not doing something you should, for example, you aren't going to click on a video but grit said no, and you do click on a motivational video, and you watch it, bettering yourself. Or, it could be dishes, laundry, cooking, etc.. Grit is the discipline of following through with something and not being bothered by the same reward of hard effort put in over and over. You get over working a 9 - 5 job and are appreciative for the money you have thanks to the job, whereas whilst thinking that, you could very well push yourself even more with more grit and up and go and get a better job, learn, more, find opportunity. It is never to late, trust in God and you will trust in yourself to win again for good.

It takes more than courage.

The last part of David's story, the part about how he learned faster than anyone else and no one could keep up, reminded me of a guy named technoblade who sometimes said " If you wish to defeat me, train for another 500 hundred years ". So one time he was challenged by dream, an opposing youtuber, to a duel for a lot of money and technoblade didn't really have a chance to win because one of the versions they played in was really hard to learn and dream was fairly good in both. So some weeks (or maybe even days ) before the duel dream told techno " If you wish to defeat me, train for another 1 thousand years " but technoblade is probably the only guy who could do that. Technoblade's motivation and ability to do a lot in a short amount of time was absolutely insane, he had a war that lasted 8 month about who would be the best potato farmer in a video game, and in that war, not only did he pass the first place guy within a month or so, time the other guy's farming output every so often, and adapt to and sabotage the other guy's plans and farming technic but he also later MEMORIZED THE OTHER GUY'S SLEEP SCHEDULE. HE WAS THAT DEDICATED. Technoblade is the kind of guy that joined a server at a disadvantage and incredibly late and almost immediately became a force to fear. The kind of guy that joined a server and the first ever message on that server was him saying " dibs on the planet " and than go and do that. The kind of guy that would break a world record of wins in a row, not by tens, or a hundred, but by more than a thousand. The kind of guy that could replace two guys that were missing on a team alone. The kind of guy that made dozens of players fear when they heard his war shout. The kind of guy that would read the entire book of The Art Of War and than tell the author where he was wrong. And the kind of guy, that even when dying to cancer would crack jokes left and right about his situation and make sure he could still provide for his fans.

Feels like David's story is what many people are struggling through. Point behind this 13+ minute clip is: To be a winner is to be successful, to be successful is to be motivated, and to be motivated is to be afraid. Be terrified of what could or would happen upon learning to ride a bike with no training wheels or learning to swim by jumping in the deep end. Always remember the saying that when theres a will, theres a way. David's will was the undeniable need to provide for his sister, which his boss saw that quality in him as he picked up on his lie, but not before knowing him to be a great fast learner. David was able to rise to success due to his fear of homelessness and devotion to being the best at his new found career! 🛠⚙

My friend was trying to lose weight and pretty much fell short of doing it [other than a few pounds] every time. So we agreed that if they did not lose 14 pounds in 3 months, they would have to give £500 to someone. On the very last day, they just crept under 14 pound weight loss. It was the only time I have known them meet their weight loss goal! Sometimes you do have to take yourself out of the comfort zone like that to get the job done.

Not a fan of this video at all. The moral of the story is to back yourself into a corner so you have no option but to succeed. Yet in the story the kid fails and gets lucky. The moral of this story shouldn't be to back yourself into a corner where you will do anything to survive. It should be that hard work pays off (which isn't a "simple trick to be motivated everyday" like the title of this video). The story is missing the fact that everyone is different and some people may go the other route and give up when backed into a corner. This is a very dangerous video. It could lead to people quitting their job and then failing and being worse off. I understand it has been made with the best intentions and to help people. But I really hope people take it with a grain of salt. The only way to be motivated is to remove (or overcome) the distractions. It isn't to potentially risk death. Be kind to others and hope one day comes back around. Every situation is different and if you want motivation then look at yourself in the mirror and make a choice. Do not follow the advice of this video

When my dad was young his parents would always work so they were never home which left him to take care of all his siblings while they slaved away to earn the money, from how horrible his childhood was since there was alot of conflict in the area and constant bombings and violence in the area at that time I feel like that shaped him to be more successful in life because he had to make do with what he had and he had little to nothing back in his day almost everyone was struggling

In these particular situations it would boil down to survival instinct kicking in. That hyper focus in these situations is pure fight or flight. I’ve been in a situation very similar to this, except instead of a passed parent it was me my girlfriend and her niece being kicked out by her drug addicted parents. It works and it works well. There’s a saying that goes “I can run faster scared than you can run angry” in this case it should be “I can become someone that is capable of caring for my loved ones faster scared , than I can when support systems are available and I have wiggle room for error” It’s not ideal or fun and I have had many many breakdowns in the process. But for some people, sometimes you literally have no choice but to succeed.

Been there in a different way. I think sometimes life throws you curve balls that cause to react. You either hit away or strike out. Maybe that's the way the Good Lord works. I met the challenge I was faced with but it was EXTREMELY difficult. But it didn't beat me. I'm still here at nearing 70. My experiences toughened me up and made a man out of me. And though life is hard sometimes, I thank God everyday he made me strong enough to get through it. Prayers helped and my life has been made better by keeping my faith. 🙏✝️❤️ As for "David", if this story is true, he's a hero and I hope he and his sister are doing well. If not true, it's a good parable to say you can make it if you try! 🙏

    1. Convince yourself you want to do it. One of the easiest things you can do to motivate yourself is to think of the work you're about to do as not being so hard, after all. 2. Take control. While it's easy to be overwhelmed by various personal and professional responsibilities, you can help yourself stay focused by keeping in mind that, at the very least, you are in control of your own actions. 3. Surround yourself with other people who are working hard. No man (or woman!) is an island. In order to pursue your goals with everything you have, it's helpful to be around other people who are working just as hard. 4. Break up your tasks into smaller tasks. "Break your hard work into component parts; it makes it easier to see where the obstacles are so you can be prepared to overcome them 5. Stay focused. It's difficult to motivate yourself to keep working if you're not able to concentrate on the task at hand. 6. Remember your "why." Nothing is more motivating than reminding yourself why you're doing the work in the first place. Whether you're building a product you love or simply putting food on the table for your family, it's crucial that you remain in touch with what inspires you. 7. Stay positive. As anyone will tell you, failure is inevitable, but it's how you deal with failure that determines whether you will ultimately be successful. 8. Motivating product actually helps. 90 percent of those who keeps motivated and determine all the time wears Motivating T-shirts or getting mugs that has motivating quote on it I truly recommend you those : www.redbubble.com/i/t-shirt/Work-Hard-In-Silence-Let-Your-Success-Be-Your-Noise-by-proknife/76521889.FB110 www.redbubble.com/i/mug/Work-Hard-In-Silence-Let-Your-Success-Be-Your-Noise-by-proknife/76521889.9Q0AD

I still have 26 days before i go back to school and i finished the animation today. it makes me proud that i was able to do it

Well, history remembers only those who succeeded after burning their boats. Those poor ones that didn't succeed don't get any memoirs. Track record of this method would be interesting, if only 1 out 5 has any success then the method is not really good. If thousand tries it, there can be like 200 impressive stories of success.. But those 800 that were doing basically okay, just might have ruined their life. I don't think long lasting motivation comes from necessity. When you burn your boat, there's dire necessity that can motivate you for while, but after some success, necessity diminishes into normal "would be nice if I did that".. So what then? Burn more boats? I would say that such makes life bit too miserable and increases your chances to fail eventually. I would say that finding motivation comes from doing stuff you actually like. Just keep looking and find it, it's not necessary to aim too high, there's plenty of good things at very low level. This might not be the most inspiring comment. ;)

Don't wait or search for motivation. Reality is sometimes we aren't driven or inspired to get up and move, grow, or build. Just live, just be. Accept that you are enough. If you want to change something about yourself or your lifestyle or habits, that want or desire will spark your motivation. Staying motivated is the real challenge. Just take the first step and keep going, even baby steps are steps forward. Stay consistent. Do it for you, and no one else.
