Why haven’t creators always suggested the powder puff to apply powder if it is said to work so much better? Wayne Goss was the only one to ever and always recommend this method until recently when the powder puff became a craze on TT? Before that, it was all about having certain brushes to apply powder and certain high end powders. No one ever used powder puffs😂 Wayne Goss is the real deal. He told us all about how much better the powder puff application works ten years ago! He was also the one who told us how applying a thin veil of powder after skin care helps lock in your makeup way longer and keep oils from breaking through without disrupting makeup on top. Everyone else said no powder until setting, or it destroys your makeup. I just think it’s funny how influenced even educated, trained, career makeup people are by trends. Wayne has always just shared the tips and tricks he’s known to work from experience and many, many years before it became popular.

THANK YOU! I am so glad you said that about the razor. I’ve been trying to use those little dermablading razors and got a little electric took but I still always find some fuzz that just won’t come off or I have stubble. Last week I was prepping to go out of state for a while and doing all my skin treatments, etc but could not get all the fuzz off. I finally grabbed a new razor and lightly went over it and my skin was so smooth. So glad I know it’s okay now.

Just use the razor as she showed -- double edged disposable mainly on the cheek and side burns areas -- where you have the most fuzzies. :) The upper lip is hard to shave so I use an electric razor. I wish I could explain the style. It is small hand-held with a cluster of razors in the center. I hope this helps, and maybe Marlena will show us, too.

I use the Finishing Touch Flawless for Face razor for my upper lip. It’s available on Amazon, at Walmart, Target, and drugstores. I don’t use it for my face fuzz because that hair is too fine to be grabbed by a rotating razor. I’m going to try a disposable razor like Marlena suggested. I hate using those dermaplane blades because my face hair grows in so many directions that it’s hard to get them all with that kind of razor. Plus it exfoliates my skin too much and I end up with razor burn 😂

I have been popping them on with waaaaaaay too much glue pinching them and the lash is stuck to the tweezer .. glue in my eye, eyes watering .. make up ruined and then glue in my lashes for a week unless I rip them out. (Only go out once every 3 months to bother to apply them) so grateful for the tip which you probably do without thinking. Really glad you mentioned it 🥰. Love you Marlena xx

Love your content and a longtime supporter. I absolutely LOVE the eye look and the lashes. You make it look so easy. Just a cautionary note for women with PCOS/hormonal issues shaving can be disastrous for us. We already struggle with more facial hair that is thicker than vellus (peach fuzz) hair. Try a small, inconspicuous spot to test shave and just see how you react prior to a ‘full shave’. No disrespect intended to anyone just sharing my own personal experience. Have a great weekend everyone!

It’s the only product I like in the Wells People line actually, and a tiny pea size amount is enough to exfoliate your whole face. I see why she loves the powder exfoliators so much, and they are excellent for travel, not having a big bottle of liquid cleanser.

Love your tutorials. I am so confused about products that pill. I can’t tell if it’s my moisturizer or SPF. Any info in a future video would be very appreciated.

This is such a great informative video. Beautiful everyday effortless look. And like you, I will always wear lip gloss. I don’t care what everyone else is doing, I MUST HAVE GLOSS!!

At 64,I feel like I’d like to shave my face as I’ve gotten a lot more peach fuzz. Why are aestheticians against it? Thanks so much for your video!

I love every single one of these tips! As a makeup artist and esthetician, these truly are amazing tips! I’ll be honest, I won’t be coming for you for the razor! I would rather a client use a razor that has the blade fixed at the proper angle than to go in with a tinkle razor and shred their skin! It’s not as great as a professional Dermaplane but it does the job for removing the fuzz. As always you are an amazing teacher and these recommendations are fool proof! I can’t remember what video I was watching recently but you tip for apply a little powder in oily areas prior to foundation is genius. I have dry skin around my mouth and normal skin on the perimeter and extremely oily nose/ cheek and forehead. This tip helped my makeup to not separate for a 12 hour day in my treatment room! I’m excited for everything makeup geek coming. I have HOARDED my favorite makeup geek shadows since you announced it was closing until further notice. Cherry cola, peach smoothie, shimma shimma, Aphrodite, nostalgia, starry eyed, give me the dirt…. Bitten, cupcake, beaches and cream 😻 gosh. I am a makeup fanatic and have soooo many eye shadows but I ALWAYS compare every shadow to my makeup geek favorites. I know some of them are extremely old but I can’t part with them. I have yet to find anything like them. Love your energy and authenticity Marlena!

We love you Marlena!! Been watching you for years! I think over a decade!! So, I am 45 now and I notice that foundation brings out every skin texture flaw……particularly after I set with powder (Bobby brown yellow powder, fenty beauty pro filt’r, huda loose baking powder, charlotte tilbury flawless finish setting powder, huda easy bake pressed powder, etc.) No matter what I do, I cake up. Should I not use powder?

I desperately want to try these brushes 😢 my weakness is brushes, foundations and concealers! I can’t get these brushes in the uk without paying a huge price for shipping! 😢

Could you tell me what steps to take when applying a primer. Do u add moisturizer, then sunscreen, last primer before your foundation?
