Please do more tips tricks methods and application techniques, even safe concoctions like when you can mix an oil or wear an oil with a base product and not cause it to separate, get patchy or have texture issues, etc. It was nice learning about your backgrounds, but I always find it so beneficial when you have pro artists, makeup manufacturers giving their best of everything and bouncing methods etc off one another.

I have asked numerous questions from Lisa and her team via DM and/or email and EVERY SINGLE TIME I have received a personal response answer, either from Lisa or one of her Team Members. Marlena, when I first ordered from MakeupGeek and received a hand-signed note--I almost cried. It really did feel like you were putting the product in my hands yourself, and at the time this was really an uncommon gesture. It really felt like you cared about each and every one of your customers and viewers.

I love both of your thoughts on customer service. I sent Makeup Geek CS a message last week and had a response from Marlena herself super fast and the question answered right away. It was an awesome response in terms of how my issue was handled and the easy it felt personal. I teach customer service responses professionally and MUG's hit all the points while feeling authentic and focused on me as a consumer of your brand. People do not forget that!

I love to see women supporting other women. I see so many people online not supporting other women and actually being so mean with their comments. As women, if we can’t support each other then who can we support. You guys both are just so great.

This is my third comment not gonna lie hahahha I am choking back tears after a rough day in corporate retail... I want desperately to leave this job. I started an LLC in textiles and took on projects. My garage was repurposed for my business and then, because of my health, I realized, if i wanted to travel this was my time. I sold my house, bought a vintage camper, and set my 19yo son up in a king suite. I've been traveling for six weeks from Chicago, across the southern states, and I'm on an island in Louisiana. Still this job is soul sucking and I'm thinking about my business even in my dreams... watching this is so motivating.

As a mom to a 16yr old daughter… this phrase gets me through SO many moments with patience and grace… “Even good kids make bad choices”. No kid is perfect, just like no parent is perfect. Love them through it all and you will come out on the other side.

I just had to comment on BK Beauty’s customer service. They are absolutely incredible. I’ve ordered quite a few brushes from them, all of the Angie Hot & Flashy and some of the BK Beauty brushes. Everything went wonderfully. My last order, got lost in the mail, and I was so upset because I was so excited to get them. So I emailed BK Beauty to see if they could find them. The location they were showing was about 1&1/2 hours from me. The problem was they had been there for over a week. Anyway to make it a little shorter, they ended up just resending my brushes. No hassle. I love receiving brushes from them they are packaged so pretty and you truly feel like you are receiving quality products that have been hand packaged. They are all lovely brushes.

Lisa’s comment about customer service is so true. And, from my personal experience, I can say BK Beauty has amazing customer service! I had a defective brush. They responded within an hour and the replacement brush was shipped out the next day. Marlena is right. I’m a loyal BK Beauty, especially after that interaction. Great videos, ladies!

Wooo! I don't own EVERY BK Beauty brush, but since I carefully chose the brushes I wanted for my application preferences, I LOVE every brush I've purchased. I think BK also makes it easy to choose the brushes that will work for you. Also, the brushes hold up amazingly over time. There are few non-fude and/or synthetics that I purchase, but I feel confident I will enjoy a BK brush if it is a shape I'm looking to purchase.

I loved this video. I felt like I was there hanging out with you. And your conversation was so thought-provoking I kept wanting to jump in! I will say one thing about the BK brushes though (I’ve pared myself down to one comment LOL). I watched some other youtuber saying that a particular foundation brush (not yours) was the best she ever used. I was so influenced that I ordered it - it was super expensive and I had to wait for it to come from abroad, I think. Anyway - that brush is meh. Not better or worse than the Sephora and Mac brushes I was previously using. But this 101 foundation brush? OMG. It is literally the best I have ever used. If I had a KZread channel I would sing your praises! Good luck to both of you. Maybe you can start a series: mature east coast ladies go to visit their sons in TX and we invite them on the channel to do their makeovers!!

I've been mixing mac face & body with the nars light reflecting foundation and it's fabulous!

You should be upfront and tell that lab that never gave you time why you refuse to work with them. That is not being petty. That is giving them a needed lesson they may remember the next time before they are disrespectful to a "nobody".

Just got my first BK Beauty 109 brush and I absolutely love it. (101 was out of stock at the time I ordered). Since I have a small face the 109 is perfect. Have now ordered a concealer brush and will probably just break down and order a set instead of piecemeal.😂

My two Girls love you both. I love my Makeup Geek stuff my Foundation brushes from both. I don't remember any other eye shadow names other than my Mac or MUG shadows; You Know right??? When I was 16 yrs old my dad owned his own business in Siding and Roofing window replacement, He was in the Yellow Pages. I used to rip out a page with my home number on it and give it to boys LOL

Best brushes on the market are BK Beauty, Anisa and Rose and Ben brushes. They are far superior to every other brand out there, particularly the 2~ Rose N Ben and BK- if you want to invest in some more expensive yet durable, quality, incredibly soft and unique shapes that form to the face. I am a massive brush collector as so many of us are, and when you can say these beat out the most luxe or well known brands, you know you are on to something exceptional. They are on the pricey side, but you’ll have them for years and years to come, using daily and washing as good as new years later.

Marlene, both the Peace Out and the Hero Cosmetics acne patches really work wonders at clearing up those unexpected breakouts. I use them successfully at 53 with menopausal skin, and my son uses them at age 24 with equally impressive results, because we're both pickers too, but that leaves scarring so I'm always looking for an alternative. You're still gorgeous though, pimple or not, and that comes through even without makeup.

Do you exfoliate your skin? You can definitely over-exfoliate so please be gentle! Generally speaking twice a week is a good amount to exfoliate. If you use a chemical exfoliant you don’t want to overdo it, to start with choose a gentle product and only use it once a week to see how it goes. Or if you use a physical exfoliant be gentle and don’t scrub too aggressively. That helps me with dry patches!

I'm collaborating with my sister in law to promote get her skin care products. They are amazing and the quality of ingredients is superb. What's your best advice for promoting/marketing at a beginner's level?

I love the both of you equally my advise with the kids is give them the same respect you want the to give to you just because they are little people they deserve the same respect respect us as adults get. I'm speaking from experience my kids and I were talking the other day and my middle child said to his brothers we would not be the teens we are if mom wasn't who she is, I asked him why did he say that, he said because even though we are the little people you have always respected us no matter our age and you never try to be our best friend you have always been my mother but we can talk to you about anything nothing is ever TMI and both his brothers agreed with him they made me cry because it was heart warming to hear my 17 year old say that and have my 16 and 26 year old agree with their brother. I have very wonderful children. All I ever did whit them was love them take care of them made sure we talked about anything no matter how big or small I was always all ears for them but most Important Respect even when they were babies.
