I would love to see a Hyte 20, with only M/I-ATX support, with it being shorter. Using a AIO on the CPU and maybe only supporting 3 slot GPUs would make it possible and I believe it would fit the case design perfectly.

I love the case, but barely any slot for 2.5"ssd and 3.5"hdd, because I store alot of data.
The reason for those angled lines is very clever, it gives the case depth, makes it look more like a room using perspective lines.
The more organic looking inner frame is very cool. Thanks for talking about the cable management features with the cables already in place, its very useful.
only thing i dont want is the unnecessary added cost of the fan. come on now, if the customer has the budget to buy this case, pretty sure they want to buy their own fans

The riser cable is $70nof the cost based on the MSRP of just that in the store. So $80 for a case and 2 fans of this quality is a bargain imho. I don't mind having fans to be spares in case of a failure with preferred fans.

True. Most people who are into these kinds of cases for their builds have their own choice of brands for fans. I had Fractal, Silverstone, LianLi cases in the past and never used the fans that came with them(maybe with the exception of the 180mm AirPenetrators from Silverstone). I never judge the costs of a case based on the included fans, more like on available mounting options.
Considering that a good Riser Cable cost at least 60, the case cost by its self 90 which is interesting
It's so fresh! Good to see some new people in the case market!
So glad I got my hands on the Fractal North. Thanks again, HWC!
Hyte should have made the PCI slot panel removable/rotatable so you could fit for vertical or horizontal GPU.

Looks amazing! I was impressed when I saw a display of a pc with the Y60 at best buy, so I can't wait to see the Y40 up close.
I bought my first ever gaming PC through iBuyPower, and the case I selected was out of stock, so they free upgraded it to this one. I think I'm going to be VERY happy with it. I'm so geeked to get this hopefully next week! I'm an aviation geek, so I'll be flight simming like crazy on this.
GamersNexus said that Hyte intended to knock Corsair off the top seller spot and I was skeptical. Not anymore. Hyte ain't playing around. The Y60 is selling like hotcakes at $200 and with the beautiful design and riser cable, it's actually good value. This Y40 is a winner for sure. They won't be able to keep these in stock. I hope to snag at least 1 at launch but that could be difficult. Corsair has nothing to match the design of this case. It makes any of the latest Corsair cases look really cheap, and not in a good way.
Great looking case imo, I do hope they come with a tower cooler compatible version of this sometime but that's just my preference.
Im rocking the Hyte Y60 and I just love it, glad to se them comming out with more cases!👌🤩
Great overview, I’m curious, what kind of temperatures did you get with the rear fan removed and no side fans? Curious if it’s possible to run the case that way because it looks great without additional case fans
I‘d be interested in temperature and airflow performance. Would you use the side panel as an output cause of the gpu airflow direction? Though the cpu fans would be an intake which is not as good cause of the heat in the radiator. Case looks good!
I do like flipping the top mount rads around in vertical GPU mount situations like this since most of the hose ends up behind the GPU and and running vertically in front of the white heatsinks instead of blocking your RGB RAM and side intake fans.
I love their designs and have the Y60, but I wish we could use full sized PCI-E cards. It's the one thing that bums me out about their cases so far.

Yeah very much the same feeling here. I love the riser-card design, but makes troubleshooting any GPU related issues so much more difficult. I wish the whole PCI back-section was rotatable so you can install full-size stuff directly into the mobo. -D.

Glad to hear! Thanks so much for the reply. I'm currently working with a Noctua NH-U12A for a cooler. Ideal fan layout would be two 140mm fans on the side, plus another in the basement as intake, and then two 120mm on the top and one on the rear as exhaust. Anything along those lines would be much appreciated! If you guys find any issues with fitting an air cooler alongside a vertical GPU, as well as any tips for navigating cable management around that basement fan would be amazing as well :) Cheers!

What an awesome enclosure 👌🔥
Very excited for this case. I hope to get one this month.
Great video and a beautifull case
Very nice idea with the colourful Lego cars and the hardware decoration, looks almost as good as the case
Love side panels that open from the top and lift! That was one of my favorite features of the Corsair 600T when I had it, means you don't need a crazy amount of space to remove a side panel and swap/add a simple part. My Evolv x isn't so bad if you remove the top, but still a bit of a chore to remove a side panel.
I would love to see a company really lean into a vert mount gpu design that allows the gpu to bring in fresh air. Like the Fractal north mesh but better Love this case
Was wondering when it was gonna drop earlier today and here we are
Sick case. Tempted to go from ITX to ATX for my next build. This case is on my short list.
need to be tested with a rtx 4090 vertically mounted. just to see if there is enough room for the air to reach the GPU.
Damn, that cable management 🔥🔥🔥
It’s sick,I need it!!!
this is the most beautiful atx case i have ever seen. if i wouldn't be in love with the small footprint of my da2, i would want one.
I didn't think about the front side of the bus but now that you mention it. Beautiful case. Light enough (19 lbs). Needs a cutout in the bottom to see my PSU wattage use OLED light. I prefer the Y60 though.
Is it possible to test the quality of the PCI extender? Some inferior ones degrade gpu performance. Very nice case and video.
A stunning box for sure!
good review starlord!!!
What I love about the last few years of PC cases is begin able to see inside from many angles thanks to glass panels, completely hide the PSU, show off more RGB with up to 10 fans and be able to run your GPU Vertically or even Upright. Currently running a 4090 Strix Upright in my Lian Li EVO...never thought it would work out but it did, looks incredible and shows off the Z790 Apex in all its glory! Taking note of Hyte tho 👀

@@arsalanamin7954 As mentioned previously, I built my new gaming PC in the current EVO case and purchased the Upright Kit (including a flexi riser cable so you can really reduce the footprint) and just threw in the 4090 Strix...and it JUST fit, I'm not even using any braces, it's just wedged in there but it works. I also run the Lian Li SL-INF fans at the bottom and they slightly cover the bottom of the GPU but it looks so weird and wonderful it works for me. But you will scratch your GPU most likely lol but if you have a smaller 4090 it will just hang normally but will require bracing. And yes there is a EVO XL coming out soon I guess, GN did a preview of the prototype not long ago.
I really like that your studio lighting feels like natural light from the sun, can you show me that? maybe studio tour video?
All these cases are beautiful. I was looking for one for myself and despite hundreds of beautiful ones, I did not manage to find one suitable in every respect for me. That's why I started to design cases that would suit me and after two years I have the right thing. If you are willing, I can send you a picture of what my modern PC case looks like.
What a Smexy case. Hyte is definitely on my radar for this years build.
Man, I just put together a PC build and this makes me jealous lol. Whenever I decided to upgrade again in a few years, I'm def going to take more time getting parts that compliment each other.
Beautiful. Would love to see a hard loop in this.
what gpu is that? its beautiful with that orange glow
I didn't expect to see a review of this case this early after GN video
Great case and review, but I wish they would make an all airflow version.
Very nice. Very nice. Edit: I forgot to ask - How is the airflow with the case?
That glass looks dope 😇
Is this reconfigurable like the lian li dynamic evo? My computer sits on the left side of my desk so I need the case to have the transparent side on the right. The neat little aesthetic features on the side that you say might be for cable management are for mounting fans.
On the side panel with those perforations it would be cool to put some kind of lighting to glow through.
Nice case, great video as per usual... But can you put a second radiator on the front/side while there is a 360mm on top? like a 240mm or 280mm for a hybrid GPU? O_O
Thank you, great video, as usual, man! A review of a dedicated HQ fanless audio server/HTPC case (silver color, please) with a reliable dedicated motherboard and such cards (USB, I2S, NIC), quality ATX LPSU and its building guide video are badly needed, Dima! Just imagine how much a person could save if he builds his own server/streamer/ROON host instead of buying a $10K or sooner $20K - $30K box from Aurenders and Auralics of this world!
At First: i love your Videos. They look always super professional. Do you have some temps for us? Especially of the GPU . Greetings from Germany
simply amazing
Honestly this case is absolutely gorgeous. I'm more a fan of M-ATX cases and I will be upgrading to the Coolermaster Silencio S400 soon, but it does make sense for Hyte to force users to mount their GPU that way, it reduces sag for big GPU's like the one in the video!

No, it doesn’t. Vertical gpu is just cringe and ugly. Useless case.
Hey can you guys do a retrospective on Supertower cases after CES is done? Given the power output of modern high end GPUs and CPUs, it’d be nice to see how the various Supertower cases released over the past 5 years can handle an overclocked 4090 and 13900k/7900x with their various water cooling capacities fully exploited… Especially if any new ones are unveiled at CES.
amazing review
How are the thermals using only one fan as intake like this? Elegant video as always!
how well do side intakes do for airflow? It seems that front airflow is a literal path to flow front to back while side would just bump into the other side glass. Are they thermally as efficient?
Love the new Hyte Y4D
interesting to see the thermal info on this case
Nice Microwave bro !
do they make a full tower of this? I got the PC-011 Dynamic XL, would love this case but afraid im not gonna have as much room as i do now. I like a clean case that's not cramped.
Can you install a rad with push and pull fans on side?
good job peter quill !
Would it be possible to install a two slot graphics card and also two single slot cards using risers in the four vertical slots?
its good and all but ever realised if you want your pc on the left side but the pc view should be only on the right side yk? It sucks to not have option to choose the view of the pc ngl
You guys should test the wooting 60he because I'm confused on if I should buy it or the apex pro mini
Vertical GPU mountin is kind of cool, but isn't there some input lag? I'm also worried about thermals when air cooled.
How would you set-up a custom loop? It would get rid of the AIO tubes, which don’t look the best.
that mesh pattern will go great with X670E Strix boards. same synthwave kind of aesthetic.
does it have enough room for a water reservoir / custom cooling?
@Hardware Canucks what case manufacture would be happy to get a design? I have one in mind and did scetch it. But i have no clue who would be intereseted in looking to this.
What gfx, cooler and motherboard is that the thanks
I recently watched the Gamers Nexus preview of this, and now it's especially hilarious that he called it the "Y4D" 😂
Any idea on wateercooling support with verticle GPU's?
Does this take ATX motherboards? Are there smaller versions, for Micro ATX, or even ITX? Can I replace the glass side with metal, with an exhaust grille where your GPU fans are?
I wish they’d do a natural horizontal mount for the GPU. That’s a deal breaker that GPUs can only be vertical mounted.

Yes!!! I'm so sad man, this looked like my absolute dream case until hearing that
Very nice case, only thing I was hoping for is an option for a standard horizontal GPU mount, not a fan of Vertical mounted GPUs. Hopefully Hyte add this option in a future model, I'll stick with my 011 for now
I think after the many issues of the power cable to the GPU overheating and burning out.. do you think it’s a good idea to continuously bending / pushing the cables right by the plug?!..
love their cases their first one already was a killer
I prefer 140mm fans. If they widened the case a little they could fit one on the rear exhaust and maybe get full length PCI slots too. Probably also a 140 floor intake and a 280 rad in the roof. I also don't like the gaps above the PCI slots. It screams "cost cutting" and doesn't belong on any case over $100. I'll let the lack of rubber grommets slide as the vertical GPU probably hides the holes. Otherwise it's a good case with good airflow and dust filtration and great views. I don't mind the lack of storage as you can hide SSDs under the shroud and I use a NAS for storage.
Does the case have a reset button and hard drive activity LED?
Hey bro what are the two lights you used in the background? (The red and white long tube leds). Thank you 🙏
This case is great, should be a huge hit, but I do still like & would buy a dual chamber, shorter, fatter case before the Hype Y40. I have a o11 Mini with dual 360s rads top & bottom w/ vert GPU, & CPU both water cooled.

btw, a simple mod I did to the LL o11 mini, to make room for the bottom 360 rads, I mounted my ITX in the middle case standoffs, & used the vert GPU mount as the top back panel (no filler in the top), so I had to cut a square out of the vert gpu mount so the motherboard i/o would fit (this was the big mod), this raises the gpu giving the bottom 360 & fan room to breathe under the vert gpu mount. My plan still is to also cut away a lot of the shelf on the vert gpu mount & use a upside down shelf bracket as what holds the GPU, but it is going to need to wait until next time I do a cleaning. used white duct tape to cover the hole I had left over from extension for the motherboard i/o, also used the white duct tape to wrap the sides of my rads, you can't tell if they're painted or it its duct tape, good time saver, doubly so if you get a color match. if you're into PC modding, get yourself a few copies of the right drill bit size, & a tap, used to cut threads. Lets you mount anything anywhere, or move a radiator a needed fraction of an inch so it clears the ram. It is 6/32 is the common PC screw size, & get the same 6/32 tap size. Also something I use are Button Head Torx Tamper Resistant Screws, they do IMO look damn good in a build. Doubly so on a water block or water reservoir distro block, just make sure you get a few of the screwdrivers with that key'ed on its tip, Home Depot has them, & you can always make sure they fit together. Tamper Resistant Screws w/ matching screwdrivers, there is no real reason for you to think you need them, but then again I used bolt cutters to remove the dumb latch style 'locks' I had on my dog's leashes & use two locking D Rings, one on their collar, & one on their harness. I learned if you let little kids pet your dogs when you are out with them, the kids are going to want to set them free to play with them off their leash. I & a g/f each had a dog in Home Depot, she was talking to a friend she ran into & their kid unhooked the dog's leash, while I was getting what we were there for at the other side of the huge store when I looked down to see I had both dogs, I looked down to see I only had one leash ... so went looking for the girlfriend, she was still where I left her 10 feet away from the front door(yes lucky dog did walk out of it), she was still talking to her friend while holding an empty dog leash, she hadn't even noticed... & her friends little girl was also missing. She never again walked any of my dogs, never let her drive my truck, when I think back on it, it was the reason we ended. So yes, I had a g/f that loosened a couple normal torx head screws on one of my water blocks to cause a water leak to kill my gaming computer so I'd spend more time watching sitcoms with her like 'Sex in the City', she ended up being an ex g/f not for doing this, the loosened screws never leaked, but that she liked 'Sex in the City'. Also make sure to lock the desk drawer with your Button Head Torx Tamper Resistant Screwdrivers. And seup a cheapy wyze camera (one that you reflashed all of the wyze fairmware crap off of, & set up your own security server to record your smart not-wyze cameras, MotionEyeOS running on a rapberry pi does the job.
If you mount the GPU horizontally, can you fit fans under the GPU ?
I was hoping it would be something to compete or be another option to the COOLER MASTER NRP 200 MAX. Wish there were more SFF cases with AIO's and room for new GPU's
It looks cool, but tbh the Lian Li O11 Evo gives you better options (well, at least for someone who wants to build a neat looking multi GPU workstation)
So.... like the Y60, except for the GPU (when vertically mounted), PCIe AICs are limited to low-profile, right?
absolutely love the case! and this build is just 🤌
Fantastic looking case! I especially like the look of the grills on the side and back for air intake when viewed through the glass panel. Would be a shame to cover them with fans imo.
Great thx.
How is this case for air cooling?
I'm concerned about the GPU's temps on this case. I'm looking forward for the fool review!
How much space between the GPU and the glass for a 3 & 4 slot GPU. Airflow will be an issue
you should try the black pro mist filter
7:57 There is actually an incompatibility here with a 360 AiO. If it is more than 397mm long, you will have to get a fan that is smaller than 25mm in thickness. Like the LT720 is too big at 402mm, and the standard 25mm doesnt fit anymore
That Gundam is really nice. Shame it didn't come in B500 or X570 Form. Pairs well with this case. Might get my brother this case.
