Would have been great to see the I/O integration. Both for the front panel and motherboard.

Anyone remember the Silverstone FT02? the one case literally every silverstone fan keeps asking them to make and they do not. Chimney effect, vertical mounted gpu, and inversed. This looks like an evolution of that design. Interesting.

By vertically hanging the gpu you're also completely avoiding GPU sag. Nice side effect. However it would be interesting to see the GPU temps, especially with vapor chamber cards. We already saw that AMD had issues with that, depending on the positioning.

I have the Thermaltake Tower 500 which has the same GPU setup and my RTX 4080 FE temps at load are 65C. So at least for that one it's totally fine. But also, this type of case seems like a waste if you're not waterblocking your card anyway.

Im sure that the GPU temps will be better then in a normal choked by the PSU shroud case. And the GPU and motherboard orientation is good. I have my HTPC in the Silverstone Alta G1M and it has the same orientation. Unfortunately it does not have any fans for the GPU on the side. But there is a huge 180mm fan right under it in the bottom. And that helps a lot with the temps. The rear IO (top IO in this case) is easy access under the magnetic top panel. My RTX 3070 runs around 75c under full load. And my CPU the i5 11400 around 60c under full load. Though the CPU is cooled by a 240mm AIO and thats a bit overkill for 65w chip. Im happy to see that some one else is trying this conceps on a larger scale. 🙂

The issue AMD have is not enough water in the vapor chamber not because of the position.

The ALTA-F1 was so promising. But I can not stand the glass panels. Please TT and every other manufacturer: Always give th option of a sound dampened steel/aluminum side panel!

honestly same, i miss vertical pc cases. The only one I found recently was from Geometric Future but they have pretty bad airflow.

Basically what Silverstone was doing 10 years ago. I had a FT-05 and the cooling was awesome!

Very interesting concept about time someone started thinking outside the box can wait to see what the thermals show

I also got excited about this when I found out 2 days ago, but then I found that cases like this are already on the market just that they are from lesser known brands. You can actually buy them right now. In any case Thermaltake still deserves kudos for trying to bring this to the "mainstream".

Very interesting, looking forward to thermal testing. As far as feedback - I’m a bit skeptical of the size of the rubber grommet at the back where supposedly all rear motherboard I/O cables would be moving through, seems like it’d have to be much much larger. Good cable management internally will also be really important if you ever need to plug/unplug USB devices and things.

Same, I have 3 monitors and all my USBs are populated. That tiny grommet is working overtime.

Really interesting cases. Basically taking the vertical itx case mounting approach but expanding it for larger cases to fit in better cooling.

TT has been knocking it out of the park with their designs. The Ceres 500TG, The Tower 100, The Tower 500.......quality stuff.

This might be one of the best things coming out of the Thermaltake camp in some time. I actually look forward to this release. Very curious how it performs.

I've been looking to update my Silverstone Raven for years. GN proved the airflow temps don't really change, but the GPU support at vertical is great. Always preferred this mobo mounting method.

Interesting design. Just wondering how difficult it's going to be when connecting/disconnecting all your peripherals (and seeing the ports) if they have to be done inside the case at the top and then routed through the grommet at the back. Will lose a bit of useful cable length there as well (if you have a big desk like me some of my peripheral cables just barely reach). Also if you have the every fan (or radiator) slot maxed out you might get some turbulence with air not exiting the case?

you would expect there would be a door / flap / removable panel and that would probably be easier to access than the back of a computer (depending of course). Cable length is a great point though

Interesting, I do like the panels with dust filters. I actually just built an air cooled TT Core P6 build and was quite pleased at the airflow and temps, but think I might have to make a custom front air filter to try to cut down on the dust issue a bit. The only thing I wonder is how some of the video and cpu coolers with heatpipes respond to the different orientations to a "standard" case. Definitely enjoy seeing more cool cases from TT that also look to be great performers temp and airflow wise.

Looks to me like thermaltake is doing some promising stuff ! Nice concept and the last case has still some interesting features and cool design !

Silverstone Fortress and Raven series of cases did the 90 degree flip but without the extra chamber. They became deeper to accommodate the power supply.

Very clean. We've come a long way since the Lanboy Air days in terms of aesthetics. Would love to see Thermaltake create a direct competitor to the 4000D at a similar price point, huge chunk of the case market that Corsair has been dominating over.

I like the CTE C700 TG case, been looking at making my own one but lack the skill to do so so I would be incredibly interested in that hopefully it comes to market, it's need to improve that bracket holding the GPU so it helps with airflow or maybe some way to turn the GPU to show the water block

The compact case with 420 support sounds great!

With all of this, it would be nice to get an option for solid side panels.

Silverstone did this ages ago with the Raven which was a beast of a case. I wouldn't mind seeing this layout make a comeback. It was actually pretty convenient having the rear IO at the top of the case, wouldn't mind having it again.

Be curious about the suggested airflow of the CET cases, the rear fans would need to be intake to work with the GPU, so if the bottom and front are also intake, that doesn't leave much for exhaust. The CET750 appears to be set up for front intake and side outlet so the air from the front fans is just being sucked directly out of the side... guessing this is just showing the options though

I had to give up my Raven case because the GPU would overheat, turns out triple fan GPUs heat pipes didn't work properly vertically. I had to put the case on it's back until the my new case was delivered, which resulted in great cooling for the whole machine. Saddened me because it was great not having to reach behind the case to plug in cables.

That last white case is really nice. Can’t wait till it comes to market.

YES! I've been looking forever for decent cases with this motherboard orientation. I was about to give up and was already thinking about building/modding one myself. These CTE cases from Thermaltake are almost there for me. I would like to see the option to have the GPU side be the front of the case, not the back.

how to plug the monitor cable>? how is the wire management for it?

Would it be possible to run a quad 420mm radiator setup, preferably soft tubing in the 750i Hero case?

I wonder if these rotated TT cases will also allow vertical GPU mounting for watercooling?

Cte 500 seems really cool for custom loops! Reminds me a lot of the yuel beast calypso layout, although that one is an open air design.

The bigger one would be great, if you could als mount 3 fans at the top, so one above the gpu, like in the cte 500.

I bought the Sharkoon REV300 for this very reason. Works great and looks even better!

The way you showed the "smaller stuff" case, I would love to see them remove the second chamber and put the PSU on the bottom right below the RAM modules and the 24-PIN connector. This would leave enough space for a 140 at the bottom. Maybe there could even be panels for us to decide, if the PSU is going to go at the left or the right and therefore have more intake for GPU or CPU. And what I always wish for are sound dampening panels to put on fan spaces you don't occupy. This dampens on the one side and keeps airflow where you want it to.

I've been designing a case like this for a couple years in solid works. I wanted to have it made but protocase wanted like 2 grand. I'm glad to see it finally done elsewhere. I cannot believe it took this long. It makes so much sense cool air in from all sides chimney'd out the top.

Thermaltake did this forever ago with the Tower 900. They just revived it in a smaller form factor.

The first one looks a lot like a Thermaltake View 51 with the motherboard tray flipped and instead of glass we got air filters

Can you route the cords through the top instead back? For standing desk it is better to have cords go through top of case

out of all the cases shown here 9:05 is my favorite mainly for storage expansion and not much wasted Open space that and its not a huge bulky case with still lots of air flow.

this one looks promising. just wish they also sell cases without any tg panel at all even for the sides. i miss the cases wherein i could also place fans on the side panel with this layout, the gpu sag is also somehow solved. lol

solid side cases still exist, they are just unfortunately rare, be quiet and phanteks still have solid side panel options

TT is showing up this year can’t wait for these cases

I feel like that intakes on both sides will cause a huge amount of turbulence. You would need some incredibly efficient static pressure fans on the bottom to deal with that. At minimum the bottom fans need to be 140mm or larger to move more air.

What if I do Intake through the back and Bottom. Then GPU radiator exhaust at the top and CPU Radiator exhaust at the side with Exhaust at the front? C750

I want to see the temperature differences of this layout compared to the conventional layout. How will this effectt the heatpipes/heatsinks efficiency of the GPUs and CPUs

Those exhaust fans are placed near to intake fans. Would that be a concerning factor for air loss! Ct form factor

i love the 90 degree design. I had a SilverStone FT2 for many years before the case became too outdated and I had to replace it. I would love to buy an premium built 90 degree angled case again.

Be sure your GPU will work in that orientation. On Since RTX 2000/Radeon 5000 people discovered very big problems with overheating - both refference models and AiB cards.

I really like having the MB I/O at the top of the case. Much easier access, then having it on the back.

I'm not so sure if having put the fans on the side panel in a pull configuration is a great idea, I expect them to directly catch the airflow from the front panel without it passing in any radiators, unless the AIO radiator is indeed mounted on the side and not at the top like what I feel what it is

Just got this case and it takes a lot of getting used to. First things first is buy monitor extension cords, you are going to need them. Any other cable connections you love you should also buy extensions for them as well along with some labeling tape. For this old fashioned PC builder a single internal 5 inch bay would have been nice for a motherboard driver and Windows disk but I guess I can just buy some USB connected external DVD/CD pack though I'm just going to put my new utilities and Windows on a pair of thumb drives

I do wonder how this will test out... since the GPU cards are designed with the intent of being horizontal or vertical.

I like the concept and C750 is so close to be great custom LC case. Just please make it a bit bigger (or make C900 model), so thick (60 mm) 3x140 radiators can fit simultaneously front, bottom and back without any fiddling or sacrificing PCI expansion slots.

I would to see more housing for ssd's on those cte cases

I'd love a SFF case like the Meshlicious but with 180mm PWM Fans in the top and bottom, perhaps a custom fitting radiator in the top would be possible? so the GPU could be mounted just like shown here with the rotated Motherboard, the GPU could even be directly in front of the CPU with help of special bend Riser Cables if needed, so the Case could be like the Xbox Series X

I've seen a sharkoon case with the same layout. Sharkoon rev 200 and 300. The overal quality of the thermaltake case might be better but the idea is not new.

Since introduction of flow through GPUs with Nvidia RTX 3080 FE the airflow in a case should probably run from back to front. With CPU air cooler also reoriented. PSU on top, another intake fan on bottom for GPU. Thus separated GPU and CPU airflow and both having fresh air supply. Really easy solution. Unfortunately no one has tested the difference so far afaik. I couldn't get the RTX 3080 FE when it was released and run custom DIY ITX by now which is completely redesigned. So still curious about the results for standard cases.

Kinda dig it. Will wait on reviews.

For the biggest version, isn't that around 50 watts for all the fans when they're running at full rpm? That's a hell of a lot of power, even when I'm just basing the amperage of each fan at 0.3a with 12v power going through each since that's around 3.3 watts per fan at 100% power It's a very neat idea to rotate the board 90 degrees, that's a clever thermal idea and I'm hoping to see it more often if it works

I admire TTs innovation! I wonder what they could achieve with the same concept and form factor, but utilising a mini iTX motherboard and shorting the depth to make for more of a vertical Tower looking case. The thermals would be incredible

Tower 100?

Comparisons to the Silverstone Raven and Fortress series cases are inevitable. I bought the FT02 and loved it. I wondered why others weren't doing it. At the time I read that it was a design patent that prevented them, but maybe that wasn't true?

It's like they took the interior lay out of their Tower 500 and are trying to make the overall package smaller .

I might get it tho, looks good the air flow.

We already are seeing cracked gpu pcbs, I'm curious if this HANGING gpu helps prevent or causes more cracks

There's enough of a space between the IO and panel for a display port cable

the fans on the side are basically going to exhaust all the air coming in from the front, before it even goes though the case

My main 'like' for this design is that he weight of the GPU now hangs on his IO shield. There is much less stress on PCB and connectors.

That layout looks good, but I wonder if the GPU needs to have extraction above and or side? Not sure it needs as much intake… I like the 3x3 + 2X2 much better, side GPU with a riser would be good..

duno why but when I see all this cases with vertical everse mobo position and all the components in viceversa location... I feel dizziness.. and have that feeling like want go there, reverse that case in right position because leaving it reverse like that make me nervous xD

The fan sticker wobble hate it so bad.

When the RV02 is still a chart topper a decade later... at least i have a replacement if the triple 180mm ever decide to retire

I'd like to see the performance of this vs a traditional layout with a similar fan configuration. I personally wouldn't buy this though because I have a CM NR200 with a 6800XT and thermals hardly ever go above 60 degrees C even in RDR2, GoW (2018), Callisto Protocol, RE2R.....Are large cases like this still needed?

The different orientations are interesting, but from an aesthetics point of view, I wish we had more progress in the industry on power cables and where they can be connected. I seem to recall a motherboard with the connectors on the back, presented into the rear of other side of the case. That 12vhpwr just dangling there was annoying me the whole video. Last thing I saw was the Gigabyte Project Stealth.

Demitri tell TT that the CTE should have an option to be inverted where the IO is pointing at the bottom. Some GPU coolers like the Asus Strix are better in that orientation

This make sense because unless you elevate your case, you will not get much airflow from the bottom of the case in the first place. To improve on this design, do away with cable access at the top of the case and re route it to the back side of the case so that there is more radiator support.

i just wish this had inverted options like o11 evo, my pc would be on left side of my desk so i’d rather all the cables come out from the right side

I think the design can still work without rotating the MB. Just have to reposition the GPU but u suppose this is better for gpu sag. Maybe think of making a modular version to either have the MB rotated or not and also have a vertical gpu mount the standard way and not hanging

I had this as an idea 7-8 years ago, wanted to DIY a case like this The IO t obe pointing down instead of top and having 3 front fans and 3 rear fans all pushing the air in 1 direction. Front to back. Top was going to be closed, and there should be a small door so that the IO can be accessed from the side, but all the cables to go to the back. I never found time to do this =/

Excellent case design it would seem, but I wonder why on earth would they put the rad in exhaust position.
