This MMA Coach Changed My KARATE Elbow Techniques
Спорт
Karate Unity Collaborates with @tritacacademy Matt Bryers on Elbow flow techniques.
I have been a big fan of Matt's work for years, and I decided to fly down to meet and train with him. It was an amazing experience where we traded concepts and I got a chance to train with him and his team. Here I demonstrate a Kempo elbow flow called the "Meat Grinder" and Matt shares his take.

@@KarateUnity I found it so pragmatic when it comes to the real applications. IMHO, what might be lost from any traditional martial arts practitioners nowadays is the pressure we got when fighting someone in a real fight. So I think any collaborations with any MMA practitioners or real street fighters will be good to connect those missing arts (such as Bunkai) and helping us to see it from any different angles.

Great,,, but tell me something if I am 5 foot 3 guy should I learn kung fu, or boxing to self defence or something else or just do not train at all ?

Thanks for your comment. It depends on your goal: if you want self defence, then you need to find a school focusing on combatives and self protection. If you have no martial arts experience at all, a great place to start is boxing/judo/bjj...pick one of these, then start cross training after you level up in rank say brown belt....it's a long path....do it, I can help you out...stay in touch karateunity@gmail.com for distance online learning, and in-person seminar needs. Boxing, for sure. Don’t grapple at your size just use your agility and and fast hands to do damage and get away. Then basic bjj for escapes from underneath ppl.
