The moment they changed Jonah Hex completely just so they could turn him into a scumbag womanizer stereotype for Wonder Woman to beat up effortlessly, I dipped out. That wasn't a red flag, that was a yawning scarlet abyss telling me there was nothing but dogsh** past that point.

And he was so stupid. He tries to shoot her with a Gatling gun and it doesn't work. Then at the end he thinks a normal gun is going to work.

As a dedicated fan of the Justice League and its captivating narratives, I couldn't help but feel a profound sense of disappointment after witnessing the abysmal trainwreck that is "Justice League: Warworld." This so-called addition to the beloved franchise left me questioning the very essence of creative integrity and storytelling prowess. Where do I even begin? From the onset, it's evident that this film has taken a nosedive into the depths of mediocrity. The plot, if you can call it that, lacks any semblance of coherence or depth. Instead of offering a thought-provoking exploration of the characters and their struggles, we're treated to a haphazard mishmash of mindless action sequences that serve only to numb the senses rather than engage the intellect. Characters, once iconic symbols of heroism and complexity, have been reduced to mere caricatures of themselves. Gone are the days of layered character development and compelling arcs. Instead, we're subjected to one-dimensional husks parading around in garish costumes, spouting trite and uninspiring dialogue that falls painfully flat. Even the chemistry among the League members, a cornerstone of the franchise, feels forced and unnatural, as if the filmmakers simply threw characters together without considering their histories or dynamics. But perhaps the most egregious offense lies in the handling of the titular Warworld concept. What could have been a fascinating exploration of power, ethics, and moral dilemmas is squandered in favor of mind-numbing brawls and gratuitous explosions. The subtlety and nuance that once defined the Justice League's struggles have been forsaken in favor of mindless spectacle, leaving me yearning for the days when the franchise used to challenge and inspire its audience. The animation and visual design are equally underwhelming. Characters move stiffly and lack any sense of weight or realism, making it difficult to emotionally invest in their struggles. The world-building is virtually nonexistent, with Warworld itself feeling like a generic backdrop rather than a fully realized setting. In conclusion, "Justice League: Warworld" is a travesty that tarnishes the legacy of the Justice League and its rich history. It's a sad reminder of how far the franchise has fallen from its once glorious heights. Instead of honoring the source material and treating it with the respect it deserves, the filmmakers have chosen to deliver a mindless, soulless cash grab that does a disservice to fans and newcomers alike. Save your time and your sanity by avoiding this cinematic catastrophe at all costs.

This movie didn’t come out in theaters, so why would you call it cinematic?

8:18 I have my own guess. I think the Tomorrowverse is going to be the main version of the DC animated universe, possibly for one or two films of justice league crisis on infinite earths. The rest, such as the DCAU. The Batman 2004, Teen Titans 2003, Legion of Superheroes 2006, Static Shock, Green Lantern: The Animated Series or any animated interpretation of DC comics, especially the Fleischer version of Superman, will most likely be wiped out by the Anti-Matter Wave or appear in cameos or background roles, similar to Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. They might use this approach to get rid of previous continuities. Keep in mind that DC tends to do different versions or adaptations & copies of everything. For example, they assigned the Earth-12 designation to both the DCAU and the Injustice Animated Movie Universe in the past. If they continue making more Tomorrowverse films, it seems like it might end similarly to Injustice (2021) in a disappointing animated movie or The Flash (2023) when it came out in theaters. It's best that we just wait and see what happens. Only time can tell. Personally, I don't think I'm going to enjoy this animated adaptation of Crisis on Infinite Earths. But as for me, I plan to write my own fan version of Crisis on Infinite Earths for myself and keep it to myself only. Honestly, the Tomorrowverse should've focused on the Legion of Doom and built them up as villains instead of Darkseid, as he has been portrayed many times before. They shouldn't even use the Anti-Monitor because it's too early for the character to make appearances in the Tomorrowverse. Personally, I think the Crisis on Infinite Earths animated films should have been done after Justice League Unlimited ended in 2006. Released them in 2012 or 2018 when Kevin Conroy was still alive, as the DCAU was developed from the very beginning to the end. That's my personal opinion on this.

Not every dc animated movie after the new 52 animation run is bad and if the dc animated movies are dead, then they died after Justice League The Flashpoint Paradox and some dc animated movies that were made in the 2010's that weren't connected to The New 52 Movies are good.

justice league warworld was so disappointing because man oh man this movie had so much potential to be amazing but man oh man they dropped the ball hard which is sad because warworld on its own is a great setting for a movie and adapting it would've been amazing but once again they rushed this plot to get to crisis on infinite earths which could go either way but we shall see about that in the future, given that movie is going to be 3 parts now but that's just my opinion. ;)

I just saw "JL Warworld" today and I couldn't agree more with your review. This movie was just terrible. There's no nice way to put it. This movie felt like 3 short films strung together with some Warworld stuff tacked on at the end. The stories had no connection to each other whatsoever. It very much came across like someone's personal vanity project. And the design for Mongul was total sh!t. He was tall and skinny with lines all over his skin. It looked nothing like the character. Plus they never actually even show Warworld from the outside. They just show a few interiors that could have been any generic space station or starship. What a waste of a Justice League movie, (and a waste of time). Glad I waited for it to come on HBO Max. I would have really been pissed if I'd paid any extra money to see it. So far I haven't been a big fan of any of the Tomorrow-verse movies. (With the possible exception of "The Long Halloween.") I absolutely loathe the new art style. It looks flat, and old fashioned, and not very aesthetically pleasing. I really really wish they had just stuck with the New 52 universe that they spent several years developing. I had a connection to those characters. It was really disheartening when they flushed it all down the toilet and rebooted everything. It sucked to have to start all over getting to know new versions of my favorite characters. I'm having a really hard time getting into to this new DCAU. So when I saw they were making a movie called "Justice League Warworld" I had high hopes. I thought things were finally going to start ramping up. Then they give us this weird, boring, nonsensical piece of crap. Needless to say, I'm not looking forward to watching them butcher "Crisis on Infinite Earths".

good video. i haven't been much in the animated DC space lately so yeah. really i got thoughts on this. it's just sad that DC just kinda sucks lately. i feel the same resentment with marvel stuff too. i miss the spectacular spiderman cartoon so much.

The tomorrowverse might’ve been cool on paper at one point, but it was a mistake. Even as one of the few fans of the dcamu, I’d love for the classic era to come back.

The problem with the DC anime universe is the people in charge of making the adaptations. They don’t want to do actual adaptations. They want to do their own thing, but their own thing is inferior to the thing that they’re supposed to be adapting.

It had its moments that were interesting on the individual elseworld story tracks, I really dug Batman the barbarian, cowboy Diana and Film noire Clark Kent, but that whole thing at the end with that cheesy ass bad guy it just completely fell apart

I really wanted to like it. I absolutely do not go into these films wanting to hate them. Like even though my only DCAMU film video was negative. I generally liked most of them. As little 70-80 min dc flicks. Solid 3/4s out of 5. But these feel just misguided. I wanna just let these movies cook more in their indiviudal settings. I also dont feel the MA or R rating achieves much. It doesnt make it more adult in anyway bar there being more blood.

I defer to your expertise because you seem to know more about the subject than I do you actually read the war world comics I never got the chance to read those and that's how I usually am with these DC animated films. I don't go into them already knowing the comic version of the story. I watch these movies hoping that the movie itself will explain what's going on well enough that I can follow along with the story. This movie did not do that at all at any point. We're just thrown in there, things are happening with no explanation, and at the end it's a big fat box of nope zero. I love these DC animated films and they're usually really good and better than they have any right to be, but every now and then a thud like this comes up and it's really disappointing and frustrating.

This review was spot on and I totally agree. SPOILERS > > > > > > > > >This film was poorly written! Wonder Woman, Batman and Superman had no goals and were completely out-of-character. They just meandered through their segments. The pacing was slow and boring. I didn't care about any of the characters because I didn't know what they wanted and nor did I know what their motivations were? Especially for the antagonists. DC needs to hire people who can actually write a good story.

Also, if animated CRISIS is in this format, they better do something impressive.

The most forgettable set of DC animated movies in their history and that's a travesty because the previous universe got me back into being a DC fan.

As someone who didn’t know this movie existed nor the comic until the movie came on MAX, I HATED it. The pacing sucked, it was boring asf and very complicated. Since there was no backstory of how we got here the whole time I was just confused as to what got us in these situations and since I couldn’t get around that it just ruined the movie for me.

I'm gonna have to disagree with your title in that I still personally pick "Justice League Crap: Shitopolips Dump" as my pick for the worst DC animated film (in fact I made an entire "everything wrong with" video for it on my channel) but based on what this video and my friends tell me about Warworld, if I ever decided to torture myself by watching it - it would be pretty damn close.

Man this video really struggled. Are there topics you guys would want to see from me in the future? I am thinking of maybe just doing some AoT videos for a little bit after I do the Vinland saga ones. Just try and cash in. I just wanted to try not bank on one IP to carry us.

I would like you to make videos on every other DC Animated Movie, for example Batman Under The Red Hood, Wonder Woman (2007), Batman Year One, Green Lantern First Flight, Superman Unbound, and Superman Red Son.

But Wonder Woman really is a murderer…

Even compared the other tomorrowverse movies, at least those had some action scenes with fluid animation. JL warworld barely moves half the time, and when it does, it’s extremely stilted (though I’m pretty sure that’s just because the animation industry is in shambles right now so I’m gonna excuse it). I’m willing to bet this whole movie got kinda screwed over by WB business rehauls, and there just isn’t enough staff wanting to write or work on these movies.

Pretty Please make a video about the rise and fall of DC Animated Movies.

This movie just seemed like old JLU episodes cut into more violent & gory shorts, hodgepodged into a connected "story". I don't think I've really liked any of the DC animated films since Flashpoint. It seems like they try to use violence & gory to compensate for lack of any real character development, interesting character interactions, & an overall interesting story.

Implicitly Pretentious made an interesting video about this movie where he's not nitpicking on every little thing

Now I wouldn’t say I’m nitpicking at all. But I adore implicitly pretentious and am insanely jealous on how he can upload SO MANY video essays at high quality so quickly. Me and him both cover these dc films and normally always disagree. But that’s the fun of it. His videos slap.

I actually enjoyed the Diana Wild West Part. The rest of the movie was just a boring and convoluted mess.

The movie was unrelentingly boring. Even the character design seemed to be created to generate disinterest into the viewer. The appearance of Lobo added some fun to a lackluster and bland film, but they turned him into a stock henchman.

A youtuber named The Black Lion not only said that this movie was worse than Josstice League, but that it was the worst Justice League movie in his review of this movie.

True. I thought it was going to be...something that raises stakes, etc. But it was boring, and you can see some of the twists coming from a mile away since they use the same "hero is now a villain in this universe" in almost all the *DC Tomorrowverse* movies so far.

I was 10 minutes into the Batman section when I thought to myself this movie has no idea what it wants to do, I need to check out a review. It’s safe to say that the rest of the movie is just a big waste of time. I’ll probably just watch the end in case it’s relevant for the next movie, but I gotta say it’s pretty disappointing so far, I mean I should’ve guessed it once I saw what they did to Jonah Hex

If I had to compare which universe I'll prefer, it would be the DCAMU movies over the tomorrowverse. The first tomorrowverse film that was Superman...was actually boring and lagging. The Superman animated series from the 90s introduced Superman better. It aches my soul, that DC isn't what it once was.

I gave up on the tommorow verse when they decided to kill off the GLC instantly

I agree this movie was garbage. It is only their animation that was keeping DC alive and come up this bullshit. Highly disappointed ☹️

I wanted to find out what happened in the movie and all I heard 69x was “nothing happens nothing matters” probably just not a fan of this style of review. Good effort.

Only reason I watched this shitpiece was for the plot and ending credits that teased Crisis on Infinite Earths. Any other reason and this movie is never to be looked upon again. I am, however, looking forward to the sequel, as it is based upon one of the greatest crossover events and saga in superhero comics history. There is no way they mess this one up as well.

I generally really look forward to these animated movies... Also, i'm not against weird takes... That weird 70ies style Kung Fu movie that had batman in it (heart of the dragon?) Is one of my favourites... ... but this was just disappointingly meh... And I think the movie's writers show their stripes at a few points, which in return explains why the movie sucks donkey balls...

There were some bad dc animated movies before Justice League Dark Apokolips War. For example Batman The Killing Joke, Reign of The Supermen, Wonder Woman Bloodlines, and Superman Brainiac Attacks.

The best is the DCAU👍🏾

Man I hated that movie. But I think it just might. The biggest issue of that movie really is it’s ending and how it affects the rest of the movie. I still enjoy the Batman X Catwoman dynamic. This movie has nothing near that which I got any enjoyment from. It’s just bland
