This is what DC has always done. They play around with newer versions of the DC universe for a few years and then do a clean state

Yeah the tomorrowverse felt like a waste of potential because this universe had so much potential to keep moving forward, but instead of getting any of that they decided to say screw it let’s end this universe with crisis on infinite earths.

Yeah I wouldn’t be surprised if Gunn is making Crisis the end of the Tomorrowverse. The producers talked about having plans for future movies. But Gunn said any Elseworlds projects that aren’t part of the new DCU will need to be exceptional and I’m assuming the tomorrowverse doesn’t qualify

@@Flyboy1953 I agree that the Tomorrowverse is better than the DCAMU. Though they’re not as good as the pre DCAMU movies. But I just mean Gunn doesn’t want a whole other interconnected DC universe out there while he’s trying to establish his own.

My favorite animation style was young justice style and justice leage war animation style

Personally for me my favorite dc comics animated movie last year was battle of the super sons which was really awesome and tons of fun.

I think DCs animated movies have always been a mixed bag tbh

Movies like batman under the red hood & all star superman. superman batman Apokolips. The last good movies I could think of in my opinion from dc animation in recent years is Justice league vs the fatal five & red son superman. I know some people didn't like that justice league vs the fatal five even i though it was apart of the DCAU. I for one enjoyed it for what it was. The Tomorrow-Verse is a massive disappointment, though I don’t think Gunn is to blame for this. For a variety of reasons. 1. The course this story has taken was planned long before Gunn’s arrival in late 2022. These are animated films, which takes years to make. You could argue this path was chosen all the way back in the Supergirl movie which began production in 2022. 2. The Tomorrow Verse was… always kinda messy? In the Justice Society film, it was shown that the organization was in another universe rather than another timeline. This was likely to tie them into the Crisis film. In Green Lantern Beware My Fury, the Justice League is already formed. And in Supergirl, Kara has already been on Earth kicking butt with Clark and Bruce’s supervision. This universe was… ALWAYS, rushed. I don’t think there’s any sign that they were gonna tell an organically developed story from day one. 3. There’s many other DC animated stuff in production that Gunn is not touching, despite it not even being connected to his universe. My Adventures With Superman, Batman Caped Crusader, Harley Quinn show, Young Justice, Teen Titans Go. I highly doubt Gunn requested for this universe to come to an end, unless it was just a waste of money and wasn’t as profitable as they all hoped. Which could very likely be the case. That said, I am very excited to see DC animated projects within the new DCU.

We can only hope that there will be more new ideas to come.

@@bluemindstudios3256 I've got all the tomorrow verse movies on blu ray besides infinite crisis part 3 it comes out in a couple week's all the tomorrow verse cover's spines have pictures that form together into one cohesive piece like a jigsaw puzzle so they are connected.

The tomorrowverse animation really fits with DC. I enjoyed every film that came from it. I do see them all as their own film instead of being an interconnected universe though.

I think dc animated went downhill once Jay Olivia and Lauren Montgomery left.

Animation look good

With all of the Animated movies we got before the Tomorrowverse, each dvd/bluray came packed with extras. The mini documentaries were just as good as the movies themselves. The New 52 animation style was by far the best DC has seen. There was some amazing stories and work put into each of the movies. Something seemed off with the newest series. I think the days of DC Animated storytelling and art style is gone after 2024. I don't think Gunn is going to keep it going. Let's keep our fingers crossed that Bruce Timm's Batman series does actually release on Prime.

My critiques are that the animation feels cheap or lackluster in many moments while the plot lags behind while feeling disjointed. Similarly a major point of old DC works was showing the human condition and highlighting moments like perserverance through adversity that I feel the Tomarrowverse was largely missing.

Dude I loved the animation style they chose for the Flashpoint Movies uptill Justice League Dark one. It felt very mature while the current tomorrowverse was very childish and cartoonish. I couldn't even stand those movies and jumped directly to the Crisis Event just to see how it ends.

I like the animation in the DCAU. And also during that time they did Red Son, Gotham Gaslight, and Fatal 5, and Gods and Monsters, which all had a different animation style

No after tomorrowverse there will be a new dc animated movie universe

I think the reason why they take too many liberties with these movies is because if it’s direct adaptation of the comic, then why read the comic when you could just watch the movie?

The only best Tomorrowverse movie is Batman The Long Halloween Part 1 & 2 and the Justice Society movie in my opinion

I quite like most of them but I think the tomorrowverse wasn’t as big as they initially thought, I loved part 1 of crisis and it has mass potential of possibly giving the dcamu characters a better ending, and featuring other notable characters from dc animated’s history, but I’m not betting on it yet. A shared universe was fun for a while but the stand alone adaptations are the way to go.

Feel like DC could have have their own “spider verse “ animated movie before marvel. Honestly DC is more known for the multiverse than marvel but as usual the corporate instability really effed DC AND seems to be actively trying to KILL DC comics all together. Such a shame the writing is on the wall DC will merge sooner or later because nobody cares about the comics or their stories

Beware of my power was good

Its crazy to me how much they rushed some stories within the Tomorrowverse no wonder I felt like some of those stories were bland and underwhelming.

Honestly, I would rather have the animation look the same among all movies different animation is a hit or miss similar animation, you can tell which movies are connected in which are not

Hell no, that would be terrible, wouldn't make sense at all, Rebirth is not complete reboot, it's a soft one and it depends on major characters that are yet to be introduced

I hate that James Gunn is taking over the animation too. Not everything has to be interconnected, i liked having another universe in animation separate from the live action movies.

I really don’t think DC was doing anything special with their animated movie projects. It was becoming quite repetitive as they were just adapting storylines from the comics instead of creating new ones. The last piece of DC animated content that truly felt important was the BTAS universe.

If anything DC needs to start adapting comic-books into movies again, like Year-One, DKR, All-Star SM, WW 09’, and Flashpoint.

The animation style in the tomorrowverse was terrible. They didnt even use any characters besides the trinity and GL

With the DCAMU they had more movies dedicated the Batman than anybody else, and felt like a waste. Even the flash was the central focal point. Why was it John Constantine, who saved the day in apocalypse war? Tomorrow verse skipped over so much and instead they filled in the gaps with BS movies, like an anime of suicide squad, and Catwoman, which serves no purpose.

I liked every movie in this universe except for Batman the long Halloween part 1 and part 2. But everything else was good lol.

I’m actually okey with this I honestly see the tomorrow world universe animation as a giant downgrade .
