I can finally use my old extremely fast Star Wars vehicles without them crashing on the border of the map after 15 minutes.

This system really opens up the possibilities for other mods. I for one, for example, will be utilizing this system in my Star Fox mod so we can have actually full sized battles rather than being restricted in normal maps

I remember decompiling flatgrass and it being almost the map limit. Altho you can get bigger by using some shenanigans and stacking parts of the map on top of each other

The creator is even working on adding planets, cross border trace support, trees, and a way to make the terrain smooth. And AI can work cross chunk but it can get a bit broken when its bigger than a whole chunk. like DRB base I,ve seen work across a chunk like seeing, chasing and attacking. Update: The creator 10 minutes ago added a basic space and planet system

@@nathanielpena5868 he just updated it like 20 minutes ago with planets! although currently there is only 1 as he just added it but you you download the latest version and fly straight up until you reach space there's a planet there.

drgbase NPCs or NPCs that don't require a nav mesh still work! and there was some talk about having an external module like GWater (made by the same guy) to properly support NPCs!

It was roughly 3 years ago, he has made many videos on the mod through the years but in the last one (the one I just mentioned) he rightly assumed it had been discontinued, he also expressed that he would like it to (and that it might) return in the future.

This will be a fantastic map for flying planes and such

This has to be my favourite map, its just so beautiful, and the thought that, somewhere in this map, there could be a massive grass statue or an exact replica of its spawn is so mindblowing. Great review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

this is cool, it would be good for testing high speed prop cars if the physics isnt too buggy. If things are fine then i would think there would be more giant maps

Hey necros. Just realized this earlier if you go up far enough there are planets. Small. But lots of planets. To get to them faster i turned gravity to -60000 and timescale to 100

Now we just need a map like that which isn't empty

this channel makes me feel like im watching mod reviews for minecraft in 2012. I love it.

I can't wait for some kid to tinker with this and create a full-size mountain that isn't technically a hill like most mountains and video games are. Mountains in real life are fuck off massive and I believe that you might be able to fit one mountain like one true mountain in here. But who knows I'm bad at math, somebody give it a try, somebody make a mountain range real or fictional kind of realistic with terrain and everything. Make little caves and nooks and crannies and things like that.

This map is how you find the one piece

Hopefully this will cause a trend of G mod creators pushing the boundaries of the source engine

This is basically like GTA San Andreas where the water goes infinite except here with land mass.

if these maps wouldve had proper navmesh then it wouldve been a good way to test extremely fast npcs/nextbots

This is actually legit. Im using this to hopefully run a large scale military rp server. Concept of pmcs building bases and defending them

if you're wondering at the end of the valley is a vast lake

The game I am going to refence isn't in source, but this mod does remind me of the game Sapiens. Sapiens is a game that I was most impressed with the world by having mountains several kilometers tall and a planet that is ~1.3x the size of earth... It is talking a while to develop with almost 8 years since the beginning... but I haven't really seen a game like it before. Like Minecraft but with a more realistic planet simulation. (Imagine actually being able to see mountains hundreds of chunks away in Minecraft and having a realistic climate model)

I love the plane and helicopter mods and being limited to such a small space has always limited the fun. The planes work not too bad it’s playable but generally any helicopter commits die immediately after spawning 😂 still a great concept

Imagine a map as big as this, but with the size and detail of RP_Southside/RP_UnionCity. ...oh dear god, the file size.

ı noticed something while playing this map ı was flying planes from wac aircraft and ı wanted to go as far as ı can ı started flying from the spawn, after a while my engine stoped working. I restarted the engine in the air and kept going and then it happened again. the engine stops was happening like it is timed, every 30 seconds or so ,something like that. my guess is there is actual Chunks like in minecraft and the game keeps the chunk youre in, alive. if you trespass one chunk to another, it loads the chunk that youre in and unloads the chunk you just get out. but if youre in a plane, because it resets everything while trespassing, it stops your engine. that was fun by the way

how do you install it? instructions in docs file making me confused edit: nvm just drag the main into addon folder
