    In the category of very important game changes, I suggest that if a nuke collides with an anti-nuke, any grunts and pawns underneath the detonation should stumble and fall over. And spider-bots need to flip over, wiggling their legs in the air for a second before righting themselves.

    The reason I kept those hovers moving on the first run by is because I *assumed* dark blue would be pulling forces back to cover the base so I thought I would only be able to kill soft targets. Seeing now that he just never redirected that razorback I wish I would have kept the hovers there for the afu!

    Probably a safer call to stay moving; you were running low on tanks by then; Afus is juicy, but better to keep moving and maybe hit some soft metal makers or nanos than assume your enemy didn't try to stop you blowing his base up.

  • @dessfoxx
    @dessfoxx4 ай бұрын

    32:44 so you ask why the AFUS didn't blow, and that's because COR AFUS are actually able to take a nuke, being more healthy than Armada AFUS. What usually happens though is the nearby fusions or advanced energy convertors also pop, which finishes off the COR AFUS. In this case, the advanced e was spaced far enough away. Oh and Armada nukes are less damage, I believe COR nukes always one shot if relatively centered, but don't quote me on that.

    As someone who's just starting, and mostly losing games right now, it's nice to see someone with your experience encouraging and coaching the team. I play a game or two on some days to relax, and the least I'd want is someone swearing at newbies because... well, they're newbies and they're not the best. And I don't even join multiplayer games unless they say "noobs welcome". It makes the game so much more fun and interesting when you have an experienced person guiding you. Your encouragement to the team is a breath of fresh air.

    I've played with huggy bear before and I genuinely cannot get a read on him. With 250 hours and 1OS you'd think he's a troll, and that's probably the most likely explanation, but when I played with him he put me in mind of a kid who didn't really understand what was going on and just wanted to make robots and send them off to fight other robots.

    If You want help front-line without distracting them, just build few construction turrets (and set them afloat) near their factories using few T1 flying engineers. If want help even more, instead of giving them flying T2 engineer, just use this engineer to upgrade their metal extractors. If You coordinate those 2 strategies, You can upgrade few of their metal extractors really fast.

    Maybe im biased because i love artillery, but i cant help but feel that after losing sea the cliff players can stop the sea agresison by building t2 arty on the cliffs. Sure its a big metal and energy expense but just a few guns firing consistently can dissuade enemy ships from getting near the isthmus, which in turn spares the mid players from having to build shields and arties of their own to counter navy. Theres not much the cliff players can do after losing sea after all, besides from building defenses and ecoing up

    Only real problem is LRPCs are quite expensive and rather fragile for their cost. They certainly hit hard and can keep an enemy navy at arm's length (or at least under constant jammer coverage) but they get overwhelmed pretty easily, and shields can't protect against missile ships.

  • @soulgamer612

    @soulgamer612

    4 ай бұрын

    @Argonwolfproject thats a very fair point, plus you also need to consider their positioning. A LRPC at the edge of the canyon for example would be unable to fire at u its straight down (making ir vulnerable to missiles and drone ships) and ships stationed at the beach to the side. So you'd have to time their construction right to prevent the navy from getting closer before they're able to escape the arties gaze, which is tricky. Still, there's not much the cliff players can do to counteract the navy at that point, besides investing heavy into either amphibious t2 bots, hovers or torp bombers

  • @chknmarengo

    I love building that fort, a few t2 arty and then some LRPCs can really punish any advance by a non jammer shielded navy.

    on the nuke the recharge and reload are different, it charges nukes but if there are several chambered they have to reload for each shot and it does in fact affect that, i had a game where i forgot my nuke till i had 9 nukes and they very clearly got faster each hit until the last 2 came out like 3x as fast as the second. recharge is not affected, maybe useful for nuke barrages but you gotta wait like 20mins to use it lol
