I just gave up. I’ve tried catching bass for weeks and I have probably spend 50 hours fishing. I caught literally 0 fish😢 not even one! I sold my boat and rod and I’m never going fishing again. It’s just not for me.

I’ve NEVER seen someone temporarily hold a fish hostage. 🤣 That was awesome.
Tyler, your channel is my favorite fishing channel. I always get excited when I hear your intro. Thanks for the video and God bless you and your family.
Good content my friend! Keep it up. Even good bass fisherman should listen to your videos. They often helped me and I'm very experienced. There's always room to learn!
Great content! I've been a bank fisher all my life, and now i own a Skeeter bass boat. So at the ripe ole age of 48, I'm just trying to figure out off shore fishing, and your SEASONS information is something i'll pay close attention to, from now on.
Dude, thanks to your videos I caught my new PB this weekend in a brand new pond I’ve never been to. 2lbs 4 oz. I’ve only been bass fishing for like 2 months and the fishing is kind of tough here on Long Island, so now I’m on the search for an actual solid PB. Thanks for ur content man!
I needed this. I have recently started high school fishing tournaments without much luck. Thank You.
Great video Tyler, amazing content and knowledge bombs! My dad and I went fishing on Monday up here in Oklahoma and I was testing out some new frogs to see how they would walk and I ended up catching my first frog fish of the year. I also had a million blowups, I guess the bass were just acting weird! Keep up the great work!

This may or may not be helpful. But this time of year when fish are spawning I can’t get them to swallow a frog. They just seem to hit them without really biting. So I started going to the same spot with a jig/Texas rig, or a fluke if it was clear enough. Idk if that’s good advice or not 🤷🏾♂️but you may be able to go back to that spot and land some
Great video you inspired me to go fishing and now I’m great at it
Great video Tyler. Thanks to you I have been learning more about the life of a bass. Knowing where they should be makes a day of fishing better. God Bless.
Dude love it thanks so much for this video! I can’t stress polarize sunglasses enough lol. I get what you’re talking about fishing wind, there was a guy with a spinning rod throwing a jig. I sent him your video after that🤣
Awsome video tyler keep up the amazing work
Real good stuff Tyler lots to still learn thanks
I have made the mistake of fishing without my glasses or a hat before. Thanks for the reminder. Tickets purchased, always glad to help a good cause.
My go to channel when I need the best tips or advice for fishing 🔥🔥
Man I watch all of your videos and I try to use every tip you give. I fished a lot with my dad as a kid and I went about 30 years without fishing at all. I just got into kayak fishing 2 years ago and I go out 3 to 4 times a week for several hours a day and I rarely ever get a bite. I know I'm still learning but it feels like I should at least be catching some fish
Awesome video Tyler this really helped me I wear real glasses but luckily I have a pair of polarized clip on sun glasses so I’ll definitely use those
Just yesterday had my best day of bass fishing. Caught 7 in a single day. Thanks to you and the very few friendly local fish anglers for all the tips. When I first started fishing for bass it took me a solid 3 weeks until I got my first one since I was doing everything wrong. Appreciate your content sir!

Nice dude. My first bass I caught was on a random crankbait i attached a lead weight to. I was on a cliff so I had to climb down and net him, but I dropped my net in the water. Long story short I lost the bass without a picture but it was probably a 3 or 4 pounder.
Great info for bank anglers.👍💖
That ad placement though...chef's kiss my friend 👌
AWESOME TYLER GREAT TIPS
Most common things I see is squarebills in the winter instead of flat cranks or wide kicking trailers for certain lures which you would need tighter action.
Nice bro, appreciate someone with second nature to this stuff giving us advice. Some of us aren’t lucky to have family/friends that fish so we’re usually (first generation solo fishers) watching your vids 💀

i had the bass and crappie going nuts the other day in NJ throwing a small lipless in the shallows and i usually use a creature bait or a craw with 3/16 weight so i was souped to finally get on that bite. i wear prescription glasses so i cant wear sunglasses with comfort thats been a big thing im going for this year a good prescription pare of sunglasses that i can bare. thanks for the vids tyler ive become quite the angler thanks to all your vids. God Bless and tight lines
You got a new subscriber, and I also downloaded your app. I spent 5-6 hours today fishing blindish, I forgot my sunglasses, but I did read up on overcast, light rain, and light wind fishing. Every single website/video/bass magazine ever says to use moving baits, cover water, and fish shallower than typical for midday in June, and fish the banks getting hit with the wind. After trying the square bill, the swim bait, the swim JIG, the lipless, the spinner bait, and a top water frog I managed to pull from the depths hooked to my lipless I was still fishless, and about to give up when I had to tie on my #1 all time favorite go-to, no matter the season, weather, time of day (or night), water temp, etc. A half oz blue and black football head jig with a dark green craw. Within the first 15-20 casts I hooked but lost a decent fish and then pulled in a dink right as the bottom dropped outta the sky. Better than nothing and i enjoyed it.

I agree with polarized sun glasses have clip on type. But it doesn't really do a whole lot of good when there is 1 1.5 feet visibility in your waters. Most water I fish in VA. Is dirty. But when there clear which is rare there great. 👍 good advice.
As always my brother God bless 🙏,ty for all the knowledge u share and walking with our Father God has big plans for you sir. Maybe one day I'll get to fish with u. I also love what u do for ms. Tight lines sir
I fish the Comal River don’t fish ponds much, the Comal River is spring fed and the water temp is around 68-72 year round. Could be 12° outside and the water with be the same. So a top water would be affective year round but what I noticed they have their moods different days and they spawn the a bit earlier than most places.

My best day was when I caught 70+ fish in 2 hours (including some big large mouth and smallies) most fish are really small though. Most days, I only catch 2-5 fish in an hour (closer to 2 lately) Btw, my favorite polarized glasses are Costas. You can see almost everything (even in dirty water)
But why ?? 🤣 great video once again bro
Great video! I'm currently struggling because I am new and water temps are 38degF here. Most videos I can find don't even talk about temps below 45. I am tired of waiting on the water temp so trying my best but still not 100% what to do when it's this cold.

My version of when I feel as if I’m fishing blind is whenever I’m fishing deep. I haven’t been able to save up for livescope or 360 yet. Whenever I’m fishing deeper water (15ft+) I get a sense in the back of my head I’m casting at nothing and I tend to hop spots probably too fast or work my bait too fast

You definitely are. Having one of those forward sonars will help you a TON
As for rigging, I always go to.. a wacky rigged 4" stick bait, a wacky jig head rigged w/ a 4" damiki gogo (or a zoom finesse worm), or a dropshot with either a 4" curly tail worm or a 3" tiny fluke. If I am not getting any bites that is. The problem is... I think I am not going to a place where big bass live. I always get dinks hahaha
the toughest thing for me has been trying to fish off the bank. very frustrating knowing what you have to do but not having the equipment to effectively do it.

I have a kayak but I prefer bank fishing most of the time. I need to get a fish finder at some point. With bank fishing you at least don’t have to worry about hooking something big and falling out of your boat/ kayak

Still wear em to protect your eyes. There’s no downside
Hey Tyler. Do you recommend any specific color for the polarized lens? Also, have you any information about good polarized sunglasses for people that need to wear eye glasses? Thanks
@TylersReelFishing
2 жыл бұрын
I am not in the know about which companies make the best polarized prescription, but I know there are plenty you could research. And as far as color, just one that you can wear all day and doesn't give you a headache. Amber or yellow base lenses lighten up the water best, but after a few hours they hurt my head. Just find what fits you best and you can wear all day
Fishing to feed the family!!!
I've been looking at getting some polarizing sunglasses but was curious if the color of the lens matters?
what reel are you using for the spinning reel setup?
Are there any recommendations you have for polarized sunglasses for someone who already wears glasses? As you can imagine the trade off of being able to see more doesnt work when I cant see without my glasses.
I fished at lake Stanley Draper lake today in shallow waters and tried casting out far which I now know is a bad idea, in 3 hours me and my cousin were fishing and didn’t catch a thing (we are noobs) I was using a rooster tail, didn’t see fish or have a single tickle.
Ok Mr Tyler quick question I have just started using a Carolina rig. And love it but I've also know there's a drop shot. ? To me it seems like almost the same but like a different presentation can u xplain the difference for me and maybe help others lol don't know unless u ask ty

Thank you for your videos! I would like to ask is why one of recommended lures for pre-spawn is a crank bait. As a novice my understanding is that it's a moving lure and reaction strikes is not something pre-spawn bass would do?

So I have that BassForecast and it says it’s post spawn, in mid April, and for the baits at my lake it says to use a buzz bait and top water frog. Which just from this video doesn’t seem that would be the best baits.

Bass fishing isn’t terribly hard once you get experience. I’ve caught bass with incorrectly fished lures before. I drop about half of them before I can even get pictures though. Targeting the uncommon fish like pickerel, gar, bowfin, drum, and eels is harder.
