    If crying, traveling, double dribbling, flopping, LeBron played during era of Magic, Bird, Dr J, Karl Malone, and Kareem his career would have ended 10 years ago. There's no "CRYING" in baskeball!!! Lebron is definitely not the GOAT. He doesn't rank in the top 5. He's on the bottom of the Top 10.

    The argument that Lebron faced tougher competition in the finals is a mute argument, because MJ made the Bulls the best team in the finals every trip they made to the finals. The reason Lebron is not the GOAT is because he did not sustain dominance on both ends of the court like MJ did, and for as long as MJ did (10 scoring titles and 9 All Defensive FIRST team in a row), on top of NEVER disappearing in the Finals. Lebron can not escape what Dallas did to his super team in Miami. As well as the Spurs. So what, Dallas was a better team than Lebron's created super team?? Y'all need to stop. On the highest stage with the most stakes (the NBA Finals) MJ NEVER disappeared. NEVER! Lebron did. Period. And We don't even hold Lebron's first trip to the finals against the Spurs in 2003 against him.

    Lebron is just a frontrunner he can't take over and bring a team back very often. When you watched Kobe it always felt like a matter of time til he gets hot and goes on a run. If lebron is playing poorly it feels like it's going to be a blowout because even though he's playing bad, they still running offense through him.

  • @delamo8468
    @delamo84682 ай бұрын

    For me it's level of competition, 10 finals from beating a historically shitty conference (that he made even shittier teaming up with other Eastern stars) isn't as impressive as the hype suggests, before we even get to the Finals record Jordan and Kobe in particular would have sliced through those conferences too; Lebron staying healthy the whole time is the most impressive thing about it, and there's a big element of luck in that. Jordan's East was tough with most of the league contenders (Knicks, Pacers, Cavs, Magic), made it out 6 times, won 6 times -- Kobe went through a TOUGH WC 7 times, won 5 of them and both teams that beat the Lakers were top 5 all-time defenses that keyed in on Kobe himself. Who was Lebron's best Eastern competition that he actually beat? Old Celtics, Rookie Tatum Celtics, Indiana with PG and Peak Hibbert??? Light work for most ATGs with decent squad around them. Then when you get to the Finals Lebronball doesn't cut it, too predictable for the great teams -- which Jordan and Kobe had to face ON THE WAY to the Finals which is why they were better prepared and adaptable. But it gets Lebron his stats which makes it easy to point the finger at teammates and wait for the media and statnerds to make excuses for you... Lebron is still great, some of us have seen better that's just what it is. I say the same thing to Kobe fans about Jordan, no hate! And if more Wilt or Kareem footage comes out to convince me I'll be honest and put them over Jordan But I watched all 3 of these win all of their chips in real time starting in 91 and Jordan > Kobe > Lebron based on who's leading their team to WIN (all I care about), all things being equal

    Never been Lebron fan. And this is exactly why. I told my son, back when Lebron was desperately trying to pass Kareem…and he was staying on the court almost the entire game, constantly….I said, “I’ll bet my life, when he finally passes it, he’ll claim he’s hurt and sit on the bench for the next few weeks.” And what do ya know… he did exactly that. Then, miraculously, when the rest of the team started racking up wins and got into playoff contention.. He suddenly got better and started playing again. Lebron is for Lebron… period.

    Don't forget the era. Defensive three in the key means rim-defenders have been legislated out of the game. He is a bad mid-range jump shooter but doesn't have to take that shot because he can put his head down and shoulder to the rim. No one is there to help. In the 80s and 90s, bigger men would rotate to help and would put him down and/or make him shoot free throws. "But Lebron's 'shooting' percentage is good!" Take away the layups/dunks, and it's actually awful. Strangely, however, he shoots a better three than he does a mid-range two. Great passer though. . .but then again, the floor is spread out now, so you don't need to be Magic or Bird to make that pass. He's a pharmaceutical marvel, I think. NBA prefers to mythologize players as a marketing tool instead of the sport itself. Quite sad.

    The Petty Queen. NBA had to issue a warning to knock off the flopping. What other player has been issued that warning? Not any of the all time greats. Or stretched out on the floor like he’s been shot. And if you’re the all time leader shot’s taken, well it’s no surprise that you’d be the all time leader in scoring, and turn overs. He hasn’t won the regular season MVP since 2012/13 season. There’s nothing that says GOAT when you’re only 4 Chips in 10 finals over a 21/22 yrs in the association. One game separates a 72 / 10 Bulls from the 73 / 9 Warriors. Only 2 more rings you say? How about those 2 three peats? MJ accomplished with the same team. No teaming up with other All stars to try and win a chip. And stats without accomplishments, are just stats. NBA owners are not paying multiple million dollar salaries to see who has the best STATS at the end of the season. Trophies, rings and Chips. There are other reasons why he’s not the GOAT, besides his ridiculous antics on the court.

    Flopping is A reason, not THE reason. His resume doesn't stack with Jordan's or Kareem's. He doesn't pass Jordan or even Kobe or Bird on the eye test. Also, he didn't face tougher Finals competition overall. Facing teams that averaged fewer wins with fewer all-stars. Plus he got crushed by the Spurs and Warriors anyway, going 2-5 against those teams. Also, he does lack "the bag" that Jordan and Kobe had. He has no handle. He is laterally slow and his shot is very stiff and robotic. 90% of his points come on transition dunks, ramming guys in the paint and getting the foul, or chucking low % 3's. He can't adjust his shot in mid-air like Jordan or Kobe. Can't shake an elite wing defender in iso. He relies on picks and mismatches in those situations. He's definitely a top 10 player and maybe even top 5, but for me personally, if I need to win a basketball game to save my life, and get to pick anyone at their peak, I'm taking a lot of guys over LeBron. Jordan, Bird, Kobe, and maybe even guys like Shaq and Duncan.

I don't think you can be the greatest of you work harder on flopping to get a call than working on a jumpshot to not rely on the refs to bail you out. When lbj came into the league people would say if he worked on his jumpshot he would be unstoppable. Well he never worked on it and at his age with no jumpshot he's pretty incapable of playing within the flow of offense.

    I agree on all these guys, but let's just look at Bird. In his prime before back injuries, Bird is giving you 28-10-7 on 50-40-90 shooting. He's also hitting those clutch shots and giving 100% on defense, diving for loose balls, etc. This shouldn't be a hot take. Anyone who watched Larry knows. I'd also take Jordan, Kobe and a few others over LeBron. A lot of this comes down to clutch factor and effort, because any top 10 player ever is going to post great stats. Shaq is giving you 28-12-3 plus 3 blocks on 60% shooting. Jordan is giving you 32-6-6 on 51% with elite defense and clutch ability. Kobe is giving you 28-6-5 on 48% with great defense and clutch ability. LeBron is giving you 27-7-7 on 51% with inconsistent defense and avoiding clutch shots. Give me all those dudes over LeBron.

    Both MJ and LBJ played stiff competition in the Finals, averaging about 61 wins each. The reason we don’t hold MJ’s Finals opponents in high regard as we do the Spurs, Warriors, and *gasp* the 2011 Mavs is that Jordan never allowed any Finals opponent the chip. Jordan denied hall-of-famers Ewing, Miller, Barkley, Drexler, Mourning, Payton, Stockton, and Malone championships during his reign. LBJ couldn’t deny Jason Terry one.

I personally don't fault LeBron for that, because he's come up with iconic great defensive plays. To me, why he never passes MJ in my book: * the mere fact that flopping is rewarded is a joke and the refs trip over themselves to reward his flopping * how many times do we need to see him take five steps and not get called for traveling? * he pretty much gets free drives to the basket, because with the new rules, it's simply impossible to defend his power drives without being called for a foul. MJ got his ass handed to him when he drove to the lane * I hear people say all the time that he's played 20 years and MJ never played that long. LEBRON NEVER WENT TO COLLEGE! Back when MJ played, almost no one went straight to the NBA, no matter how good you were. * one of the biggest arguments: you could beat the s**t out of players in the 80s and 90s. It was a much rougher, more physical game. LeBron's scoring average would drop 5ppg if he had to battle Rick Mahorn and Dennis Rodman and Bill Laimbeer and the Davis Brothers and Oakley and X-Man in the paint. Put MJ in today's soft NBA and he averages 50ppg and plays as many years as he wants.

    Great video, but I think there is also one more factor that puts all time greats above Lebron and didnt saw any video about it. Its a little bit imagine so scenario but I think it touches the subject very well, and I will leave out of it players like Bird, Kareem, Magic or other players from lets say distant past. So imagine if you are a franchise manager and you got a choice to build your franchise on any chosen player knowing almost everything about them, how many people will choose Lebron knowing that Jordan, Duncan, Kobe for that example got more rings then him, knowing that Jordan, Duncan, Kobe, Steph didnt leave the franchise after failing to win championship, knowing that they dont do everything you see on that video? You cant buy loyalty, look what cost Lakers to fulfill Lebron demands and that for a bubble ring and probably a lot of mediocre years after he will leave them. Compare Lebron to Jordan from financial perspective, how much more money Jordan bring than Lebron to a franchise. Other point, we talking about Bulls dynasty, Spurs dynasty, Warriors dynasty, Lakers dynasty. What dynasty Lebron was part of?You can go on and on and conclusion is simple - only crazy fans will pick up Lebron over mention players if you want to build a succesfull dynasty

    The greatest leading scorer in history is Michael Jordan: *10x scoring champ and 30.5 ppg.* MJ has in his career 127.5 points per 100 possessions, LBJ 115.0. The point total is determined by the number of seasons and games played. LeBron has 1751 games played and 47866 total points, Michael 1251 games and 38279. If MJ had played 1751 with an average of 30.5 ppg he would have scored about 53405 points.

    The points are truly irrelevant since the new modern version of the league doesn't allow defense. These players are a joke compared to the past. No defense, flopping deluxe, whine to refs to kick out fans who hurt their feelings, softest players in the history of basketball. No current players even in the conversation about the GOAT.

Also Jordan, Bird, Magic, etc.. didn't want to play with each other, wanted to dominate them. Now just build a super team and play with the players you can't beat. As a lover of the game, I use to get into the goat debate a lot until realizing that the "Goat" debate will always be subjective to who you watched and who you like more but also there are so many different eras to crown a overall goat. So I just do it by era and the resume they created in the era or just based off position because trying to compare this era to the 2010s era, compare the 2010s to the 2000s era it just so many factors because while we've seen players last long into other eras, it was also towards the tail end of their career verse seeing prime Jordan in 03, prime Kobe in 2010s etc. Jordan is the goat of the 90s. Kobe is the goat of the 2000s, LeBron is the goat of the 2010s. 2020s is a tie between Giannis and Jokic but if Jokic wins his 3rd MVP & second ring, hell pass Giannis as the Goat of the 2020s
