Keep your subjective opinions on the side, young man. Not worth anymore of my time. Your debate of MJ & Lebronski has already been answered. Lebron comes of the bench & sits at the end of the game, because he cannot be trusted to make a free throw or win a game

@@uhhswifty I'd leave Duncan out of the Top10, and where I place LeBron depends upon the criteria. If we're talking individual contests in a one v one pick up game, then he's probably Top 5, but if we're talking building a team to win NBA championships, then he's in the 6,7,8 region.

Kobe had 15 ppg in 2000 because jalen rose intentionally stepped on his ankle in game 3. Kobe played less than 5 mins in that game and had 2 points. Kobe also should’ve won at least 3 mvps but was black listed by the nba media after his rape allegations. I would argue Kobe was the best player in the nba from 2003 til 2010. Not delusional, just facts. You are probably younger than 25 so I will forgive you for your ignorance. Kobe is #2 all time behind only Jordan

In the early 2000s Kobe had shaq but Kobe was still a top 5 player in the league at 22 years old, y’all talk about him like he was some bum when he was averaging 29ppg in the 2001 playoffs, in an era where teams actually played defence.

Hey Swiftee, I have no problem with your top 10, hell, they are as solid as any put together. But Bruh, never call any players who played in this league a Bum. You and Gilbert Arenas for people who claim to know so much and are so knowledgeable about the history of this league should know better than to show such blatant disrespect to any of players who made it and played in it and helped shape it into what it is today, from any era. I don't know if you played ball, but you didn't make it to the league . Just because you watched a few games over the years doesn't give you the right or credibility to make such ill-mannerd and disrespectful remarks about anyone past or present or to judge any players from back in the day. That you never or had the opportunity to watch , so don't assume to know my era cause you don't, at least not well enough to show them such disrespect by calling them bums especially Gilbert Arenas who had his moment and blew it like a bum and feels he's qualified to throw shade on players he's not even worthy of holding their jockstraps. Yeah, they had their issues but the players in that era was the best and skilled of any era of the NBA ever had and could more than hold their own against any of today's rendition and every team had at least one or more allstars or future HOF'er on their roster and the league & games were competitive with defense, so much so they had to change the rules so the scorers of today could do so more easily like your goat LBJ uncontested. So much so that You as a export would've recognized and showen that respect, because it was earned not given a long time ago. Bruh,I'm old school, in my 60's and started watching the NBA and became a lifelong fan of the sport & league in 1970. You would think such a expert on the NBA would've done more research before choosing such a blatant slap in your face ass word to describe the players of that era. Respect Bruh, to you and any new school expert who thinks calling out any era of the NBA other than this present rendition needs to show more of when referring to the history of the league. Because it just didn't start in then2000's it's been around and you young bucks should put some well deserved respect on all the players name that made it more possible and easier for the players today including LBJ ya'll so openly worship simply because you can witness them in real time. And think they're the best thing since ice cream & cake.

Been a student of the game since mid-sixties, which may be a few more years than you. Watched everybody from Russell on. Comparing different positions is comparing apples and oranges. Different skill set and roles involved. Also, I evaluate based on individual performance, not team performance. Third, I heavily discount awards; since they are voted on and thus heavily subjective. The only exception is the 1st and 2nd all NBA defense teams, since there are relatively few metrics to go by. Your top ten list is plausible. But what constitutes greatness? Offense? Or offense plus defense? I try to consider both. I'd easily put Stockton or Chris Paul ahead of Curry at PG: Points generated (scoring + assists) per 36 minutes: Curry Stockton 39.5, Stockton 38.7, Paul 38.4 NBA 1st or 2nd team defense: Curry 0, Stockton 5x, Paul 9x As shooting guard, Kobe's offensive production is pretty far down the list, but he was one of the best on defense. So I'll give you that one. I'd also replace Shaq with Hakeem. Shaq's offensive number a little better and rebounds the same, but Hakeem was all-NBA defense 9x compared to 3x for Shaq. Plus Shaw couldn't shoot FTs. Of course, if Jockic, Doncic, and Giannis maintain their continue current pace, they could easily end up in the top ten.

If Brons the goat, and surpassed MJs goat standard, tell me what is the new standard Bron set? You cannot tell anyone with a straight face that the bar Bron would set would be higher than what MJ set. Even KD is saying why he doesnt have a goat case. Hes really saying that because Brons getting his. In terms of greatness, MJ blows Bron away. However always enjoy watching vids of these topics.

Lebrons longevity & ability to adjust. & not only that the level of all around play is unmatched. & to come down 3-1 on the best team ever is crazy. Lebron is just a better player man. & scored 40k. It’s on a newer lvl

I dont think hes better than MJ, and I also think Brons accomplishments are not enough to put over MJs career. And thats blindly giving that Bron take full credit at face value without even going into the context of those things. Also I thought this list was about 10 greatest NBA players, which is why you had Curry below Magic on this list despite you saying Currys better. You bash MJs comp, but not Magics? Magic like Bron played in an easier conference. So if you put Lebron above MJ, how do you put Steph under Magic at the same time? And Magic had Kareem too. People bash Steph for having KD for 2 rings, which is rightly so but still. You say longevity for Lebron, but Stephs longevity blows Magics away. I mean his primes basically as long as Magics career. So why does Lebron get the benefits and excuses where others dont? Lebron gets all these narratives where its obvious they all dont add up. If hes the best the leagues ever seen, you simply dont fail with the help hes had during the time hes had such help. Failing a few times he could get let off the hook for, but 4-6 is unacceptable when in an easier conference and putting teams in your favor. Its not that hes lot 6 finals either. Its that he lost more than hes won in the brightest stage while putting teams in his favor. His leadership is weak to get over any opposition and thats one of his greatest flaws. He already needs the help around him rather than pushing lesser players to be the best they can be. I mean while getting dusted in the finals, his coach saw him on the bench filing his finger nails. I mean Lebrons got this new podcast, and so far it just seems like hes trying so hard to protect his legacy. Why if your the goat? He says he wants his respect too. Again, why say that if your the goat? I think Bron knows hes capable in terms of tangible things, but hes taken shortcuts, and knows hes never met MJs standard. Lebrons the perfect case of how important the intangible things are. Thats my take on it.

@NSavvy17 I respect the top part. If you think mjs better/ greater that’s fine. As long as lebron is 2. & yea this is the top 10 greatest. But this list takes in account your greatness + who’s better. & you can make can argument based on just greatness that lebron is greater. He’s breaking records every other day. Not even jus longevity records. Single game records, season records. All type of crap in year 21. You say “4-6 is unacceptable” brother name the finals that you swap him out & put in mj (or any other player who ever lived) they change the outcome of those losses besides 2011 I give you that one. But 2007 cmon bro it was lebron vs the spurs. No help. 2014 again lebron vs the spurs. No help d wade & bosh were hurt & everyone else was horrible. 2015 lebron vs the warriors. 2017 & 18 played the best team ever & played em in 2018 with no help. Bro stop being delusional & saying 4-6 bro. You know good n well every other player in history would be at LEAST 5-5 in all Lebrons finals. You know that for a FACT. & tbh maybe still 4-6 because of the 2016 warriors a lot of people aren’t beating that team or the 2013 spurs. & saying lebron dosnt make teammates better is so crazy that’s insane. Literally eveyrone who’s played with him talks about how he makes them better it’s just the pressure they feel with playing with an all time great. And performing is what they don’t like. Stop that bro

  • @NSavvy17

These are how many times these players led the league in a statistical category. Also back in the day certain things like blocks werent recorded than. (Steals, points, assists, rebounds, blocks) Wilt- 19 times MJ- 13 times Kareem- 6 times Lebron- twice So youd take Longevity records over this? And Lebrons not even top 10 in this compartement either. If someone is labeled as faster stronger better, this is alarming. Is it not Lebrons CASE practically? Somethings not adding up. And this dudes clouded with PED investigations as well. However, innocent until guilty. And about the 4-6 thing, why do you think MJ fans talk about the 6 rings? Its because the how. How MJ got his 6 vs how Lebron got his any of his are vastly different. Why? because its 2 different paths and standards. 1 stuck it out, while another stacked the deck and hopped. And whats bad is that the deck stacking one, is that it has less rings.. The 6 losses are just insult to injury. AND losing more than you won is the cherry on top. This is why its unacceptable to try and say hes greater. Hes simply not. The guy your supporting even has his doubts. The dudes doing a podcast rn to protect his legacy. Its why he "wants his respect to." Hes got insecurity on the subject no question.

Larry Bird is the only player in NBA history to shoot better than 50-40-90 four straight years while averaging over 28 PPG. Only two other players in NBA history have ever shot better than 50-40-90 in a season even once and none four straight seasons. Had Larry's chronic injured back injury not occurred, there is no telling how many more years he would have kept that streak going. Three straight league MVP's. And that's not counting the double digit career rebounding average and being the best passing forward in history. Celts go from 29 wins before his rookie year to 61 wins his rookie year and there was no Parish, McKale, DJ, or Ainge on that team, just the same guys who won only 29 plus Larry Bird. Greatest one year win improvement by ANY team in NBA history and it came because of the addition of a rookie. It proved that Bird carrying a bunch of no-name players at Indiana State to a undefeated season, slaying one giant after another during March madness until that 1979 NCAA championship game was no fluke. What he did at sad sack Indiana State has never been repeated and what he did his rookie year at (then) sad sack Boston has never been repeated. There is a reason for that, a very precise reason...BECAUSE NO ONE SINCE HAS BEEN AS GOOD AS BIRD AND THEREFORE COULDN'T DO THOSE THINGS AND DIDN'T DO THOSE THINGS. You will never see another Larry Joe Bird. In fact, think about what an in pain, old, chronic back injured with a compressed nerve root in his back, 12 weeks away from his last NBA game, Larry Bird did on March 15, 1992. On March 15, 1992 the Western Conference leading Portland Trailblazers had a game in Boston on a Sunday in prime time. Bird didn't have many decent days that last couple years especially, but on this day, either he fought the pain especially hard or his back game him some small respite. That March 15, 1992 49 points scored that day by an old broken down Larry Bird was the most points with a triple double in the 1990's in the entire NBA. It wasn't until 2015 until anyone had a triple double with that many points or more. That's 23 years. In fact, you had to go back to 1975 where Kareem Abdul Jabbar had 50 and a triple double to find a previous triple double game that exceeded it. The 1980's? Nobody reached at least 49 points with a triple double in the 1980's. Two guys came close in the 1980's: In the 1980's a fellow named Michael Jordan had 48 and a triple double, and another fellow named Larry Bird had 47 and a triple double.😊 Bird also had a game against Portland in the mid 1980's where he scored 49, and he scored his first 26 points of that game LEFT HANDED, and he was a right handed shooter. Why did he do that? Because he could. There will never be another Larry Joe Bird.

Just as MJ fans need to accept that for some Lebron fans - Lebron’s best ever longevity will be the deciding factor. The 6-0 goes for MJ v Lebron - not MJ v Russell. That’s because Lebron is in MJ’s class as an individual player/talent - Bill Russell is not. If MJ/Lebron had 11 rings the goat debate would be finished forever - forever goat they’d be. Russell - individually - isn’t in that class. Sorry. Having said all that - I actually think your list is really good. Nothing that can’t really be justified. Nothing too mental. Very solid list. Your lack of knowledge is not my problem. Jordan & lebron is the only subjective arguemnt. They can be either or. But everyone else it’s jus objective.

Dude this comment is prolly the craziest one I’ve ever seen. Bro said lebron can’t shoot when he’s a 35 1/2 % 3pt shooter 😂 & his post midrang game got insane after his Miami run. Your crazy 😭 & hee shooting 42% from 3 this season😭 bro I’m done with you man. Name the finals loss besides 2011 that any other player in history would’ve changed the outcome to a finals win in any of those losses? Oh wait there isn’t one
