It seems like they changed how EMP mines work, since instead of blowing up when an enemy gets near them they instead will have an ark that attached itself towards any enemies that gets near it.🐱

I was lucky that they gave me access as a small content creator, I loved the map, but I still feel very weak about the medium class, added to the fact that they did not add any firearms. I hate melee weapons and explosives, it makes everything so random at times, but I hope this season is better than the last. Excellent informative video

Yes, I actually fed back to the devs at one point that it would be cool if they included smaller creators to these events as well, because there’s a lot of value out there and it’s not just about the views sometimes

The animations for all the new weapons (except the bow) and the winch claw looks a bit stiff/awkward to me. But maybe it'll feel better while playing.

I may be crazy but I feel like ranked cashout will comeback before season 4. If they left it in people would rank up with the current ruleset and meta which would then skew ranks after they release the overhaul patch. Do you deserve diamond for abusing HHM? Or does it make more sense to start off with a clean slate? Idk but that's my hunch. At the very least I feel we will get a test mode like Terminal Attack had in season 2. Maybe halfway through the season.

From what has been said by devs, the world tour is exactly that. The testing grounds to balance cashout tourneys into a more viable and fair competitive mode. I highly doubt they will change ranked at all during this season since they mentioned the move to get cashout out ranked was specifically to avoid tweaking the currently active ranked mode in the middle of a season.

And yea that's what I meant, I don't think they want to completely overhaul ranked halfway through the season. They want a clean slate and the world tour lets them play around with different changes. Yeah I know that Embark are always very strict when it comes to making adjustments mid-season, they really want to keep that consistency the same. I honestly would love to see World Tour as an entry for casual players but at the same time an extension for competitive players in that mode to continue grinding the game and pushing it further (esports).

Hmmm, I was streaming and playing so can’t give much help there, but I will say that I never had any issues, which sometimes I had in S2 with some rare spikes. Could just be the new map is optimised but let’s hope it feels better overall…

I do hope the game thrives, it’s pretty fun.

Rank already looks more balanced and fun from the early gameplay, it might not be a unique innovative mode but it sure is fun as hell

When I played it, I really think that it’s a great entry barrier for casual players because respectfully most of my matches in S2 were stomps on my end, so when they made this ranked, I feel it’s going to be a lot better for the “overall”

don't like how hard they went on the mele weapons in this update, when the ones in the game right now aren't being complained about too much, except people wanting riot shield buff, and weird glitches. kinda killed the riot shield with the katana though. wish they added a crossbow for medium, just really anything but another mele.

Yeah that's why I was thinking a gun for medium like a bolt action non scoped rifle, something that contests the AKM / FCAR for those that want high risk high reward

I'm not a fan of terminal attack this update makes me nervous cause I mostly play ranked I hope they really worked on it, I didn't care for too much because it wasn't true attack and defend the rolls flip And the attackers become defenders and vice versa as the rounds progress, I wanted true overwatch team fortress 2 style attack and defend

Even though I’m terrible, I really enjoy the finals

Odd that you haven't compared the dual blades to the riot shield. I would actually want to know how they do compared to each other, because now it looks like the blades are going to be many times better than the riot shield (which is a bummer, because it means another weapon/gadget is left to rot in the underpowered zone).

Yes sorry, we only got a very limited time to play (I had 3 hours and dedicated 2 to streaming and 1 to testing/recording) but the servers went down mid in my final hour of the event, so wasn't able to collect much :L

I've played the preview aswell and I still don't feel TA is an interesting mode. I'll prob grind the top 500 then I'll just leave it out. One thing that you did not mention which feels quite important to me is that we FINALLY have a spectator mode in private matches. You mentioned s4 as it will probably perfect for competitive players, but we still have to "endure" (sorry for the bad wording) the season 3 to wait for the changes. This spectator mode can fill that gap, as we can finally create tournaments who can be interesting to watch. Heard a rumor about tournament support in custom aswell, but I'll have to wait tomorrow to confirm it.

Two new melee weapons is whatever imo, personally I think we already have more than enough melee and I would have preferred at least two new range weapons, but the bow looks sick and the new gadgets and map make up for it. Kyoto is the prettiest map they’ve added so far

⁠@@THiiXY yeah but I think a scoped rifle might be too much imo and detracts from what medium is used for no? There’s a reason they moved it from medium to light right? If you run healing for example, usually you want to stick with team mates, not sit in the back with a sniper you know? maybe a scope less hunting rifle of some sort, usable in medium range but not long range, on medium would be a happy compromise? Just a thought

Why is ruby only top 500😕what if someone reaches top 500 but for some reason they can’t play anymore for like a few days and they lose their place in top 500? Will they still get the skin? I'm pretty sure you have to be in a top 500 position by the end of the season, I think this is intended for those "hardcore" players to continue playing past the Diamond rank extension and continue playing throughout the season.

I think it’s to allow the other team to kind of “set up” but I will agree with your argument that you could instead just push the spawns further back for the attackers so then it’s not just dead gameplay for 20s

I'm still not a big fan of being unable to fight when holding the decryption key. Players in cs and valorant already hate picking up the bomb on their back because they'll be blamed if they made a mistake and gave away the bomb. In the finals it's even worse because you can not use weapons while holding it and considering that individual performance counts in ranking up, I would never be the one to hold it, sorry.

It makes sense in a game like this. It is much more leanant compared to objective modes in Halo. Then again I would not carry the key either.
