You have to order the whole Christmas Cake at the Convenience Stores. Also the food halls in the basement are called Depachika.

Hi Seerasan, in Bavaria we have "Butterbreze", which is a Breze cut in half with some butter. Its a great breakfast and available at most bakeries. I love the japanese Cake Tradition, they look so yummy. Have a merry x-mas 🥰

Us Prussians sell a "Butterbrezel" (note the L), which is pretty much the same but topped with chives for some inexplicable reason. Merry Christmas to you all.

they are always on the basement lower levels because logistically its easier to get daily deliveries to run food operations, have kitchens utilities etc.

The giant weihnachtspyramide they had is pretty cool. My mom used to have one (much smaller ofc) that she would put out during Christmas.

The IKEA in Tachikawa sells the butter pretzels. I get them every week.

The reason why the food courts in shopping centers or department stores are, generally, on the basement level is due to available plumbing and drainage capacity. Lots of wastewater and stuff going down the pipes. Depends on the building. You reference David Jones, assuming Sydney....Yep I remember that basement food court....that building was old, so makes sense that it was in the basement. That building is being transformed at present and will be a new retail/commercial/residential development. Pity as that DJ's food court was awesome!

When I was a small child in the 60’s and early 70’s in Canada, most of toys and dollars store toys were made in Japan, this was the post war boom from Japan. Japan has been a country on my list for a very long time. Love your channel, you do such a fantastic time showing us so much about everything Japan, I’m so thankful for all your content. One question if you wouldn’t mind answering for me about accessibility for. People in wheelchairs, I’m a wheelchair user and asking someone that lives there always helps.
