Practice makes perfect. Someday you may venture off into Asian cooking. I got bored with American foods..
I highly recommend after you get your onions translucent add a small amount of flour, then your broth and cream. This will make the sauce a little thicker allowing it to really coat your chicken. Maybe even throw in a cheese of your choosing. Great recipe!

I also came down to say that. It will act as an emulsifier as well and keep the sauce from separating.

My thoughts exactly. In addition, I will use a mixture of white wine, or even better, dry Vermouth and chicken stock rather than water. I would also recommend adding a sprig or two of thyme to the simmer, as someone else suggested, and starting with a lesser amount of nutmeg, adding more to taste. Great inspirational recipe! It's what's for dinner tonight! Thanks so much for sharing.
I've never tasted lemon juice, onions, garlic, cream and nutmeg but looks really tasty 😍 I'm going to try with coconut milk and love that its gluten free ...maybe cornstarch to thicken. I have spinach on hand to saute alongside and pairs nicely with basmati rice 😎😘
Looks delicious! I'll be making this for my family soon.

Thank you for sharing this delicious-looking recipe! I just happen to have some chicken breasts defrosting in my fridge, and was wondering how to prepare them...now I know how! I also like the technique of scoring the chicken breasts. I never thought of doing that with chicken but it gives this dish a nice presentation along with the parsley to give it some color. Great!

I agree with both of you! That is something I have never done or ever will, especially with chicken there's too much of a risk. I don't even use wood cutting boards to prepare chicken on, I have 2 plastic microban boards that I use for poultry, pork and beef, meat never touches my wooden board, the plastic can then go into the dishwasher and through a wash and sanitizing cycle. Maybe to some that might be stupid, but if you ever have food poisoning you might think differently 🤔

Looks delicious. I was just going down the KZread rabbit hole trying to figure out what to do with chicken for dinner tonight. Found it! Thank you for sharing.
Love the fragrances in this dish. They give a complex aroma. I undercooked the chicken on high heat in first step (quick high sear to brown) because It would turn very dry with so much cooking time. Careful about cross contamination with raw chicken.Dedicate one hand for chicken so the other stays clean. Salt & pepper together Don’t touch frying pan handle with dirty raw chicken hands. Removed the peel off garlic in first step. Tastes fantastic.
Exelente y delicioso plato deberás que se observa espectacular me agrada su oresentacion

It looks like a great recipe. I will try it very soon. 1 question...the amount of cream you added in the video looks more like 1 cup vs 1/2 cup in the recipe, which amount is correct?🙂
Heh -- looks like an Austrian recipe :). Cooking anything in butter, cream, onions, garlic and parsley is going to be great. My German wife introduced me to the use of nutmeg in sauces like this. Marvelous. When I make this, I'm going to add the single missing Austrian/German ingredient -- add bacon lardons (fatback also works) to the sauce along with the onions. Another tasty addition might be thinly-sliced mushrooms of some flavorful variety.

This is yummy. I have prepared it at least 4 times. The nutmeg and lemon are amazing together. I never use vegetable oil, but instead I use extra virgin olive oil. It's great as well with olive oil. I also wash my hands when handling raw chicken and actually wear disposable cooking gloves.

Totally agree can't be to careful when handling raw chicken or raw meat. I never use a porous board to cut raw meat I use a large ceramic plate.I also wear food grade gloves when handling raw food. Anything in a separate containers like Salt, pepper, oil etc should NEVER be handled with unwashed hands, this is very dangerous causing cross contamination which could cause serious food poisoning.Good Hygiene is imperative when using raw meat. Food looks good.

I made this recipe tonight, it was very yummy. Thank you for sharing. I paired it with some garlicky mashed potatoes, and yellow squash. Also, thank you to those who suggested adding flour to make the sauce more cohesive. (Gravy like, for the mashed potatoes).

Eu faço parecido. Nunca havia feito com limão. Vou experimentar!

@xtraspecialj

I agree on the knife thing (dude will cut his thumb one day, guaranteed), but disagree completely on the onions. That isn't much onion at all in my opinion. Heck, I'd use more. But even more egregious is his lack of even the most basic of safety precautions in his handling of the raw chicken. Absolutely disgusting. Touching the chicken, then touching the salt spoon and pepper grinder back and forth. Eww eww eww eww eww. Not only super gross, but also a horrible role model to the public.
