    I think entrepreneurs don't like to "test the market" because then it is "out there" for others to copy their idea before a patent, but that also means they put a boatload of money on things that might not sell. We've seen this several times, like with "kid's love" in the shark tank u.s.

  • @Jessica7318

    @Jessica7318

    Absolutely. Jim didn't commit to buy them at a certain price either. This is a situation where Jim could say: "Look, the T's are useless to anyone else, they're pre-branded, so you burn them, or you give them to me." and he could put an offer in for whatever he wants. - He could buy them at cost. - He could generously buy them at the price the guy decided on his plan (low numbers so the ones with Boston Pizza can be paid 'full price' as a charitable gesture to him). - He could buy the ones with the name on them at a discount. If someone else pays more for them, fine, Jim doesn't have to buy them. If Jim buys them, Jim can decide what he'll pay, etc.

    Am I wrong thinking that a mold runs about $50,000 for the average one, certainly one making tees would be a smaller one even to accommodate 100 tees at a time? For argument's sake that must be pretty close. You don't need distractions on the golf course, like unscrewing a tee that just jammed, and now it's bent, and.........and everyone carries different sized tees IF they even use them. I haven't played in years, and I have three sizes of wooden tees in my bag. Let's keep plastic off the golf course. Every other ball you pick up on the course is branded, they do same with wooden tees, I mean dude, SAVE YOUR HOUSE. You buy a 3 1/4" tee and you push it in deeper. I repeat, save your house. They're $7 for 100 on Amazon, and you may never have to buy another tee in your life.

    I just don't get it, I swear to god. Don't become emotional with your business/product. I mean, you do your market research(advertise) if people don't respond to it with the right publicity then the market is talking to you... your product does not sell, just move on and focus on something else. With 40k you might aswell just put the money in an index fund or invest in something and let the money sit until you get your next ideia, I mean, it makes no sense that you get damaged for life because of one single ideia... if it doesn't work just try something else and keep going until you find the one thing that works.

    This is a horrible idea coming from a golfer. It doesn’t even improve consistency. U have to move the thing up and down and have to judge where it is the same way you have to judge how far down a standard tee is. Any golfer that takes the game seriously enough to use this, would already be able to gauge how high to tee up the ball using the club as a measuring stick because they’ve hit so many shots. A 3 times a year golfer would try to use this once and call it stupid and be frustrated by its tediousness. Even if a decent golfer found this useful they would have to mark on each individual tee where to spin it for driver, 3 wood etc. considering you can break a tee in one swing this is annoying. However let’s say someone was willing to do this (some golfers are goofy). They could still just use a standard tee and mark that the exact same way. This product has 0 merit. Not even as a promotional tool because there are far cooler tees you can brand than theses.
