Disabled Entrepreneurs Clever Solution To Mobility | Dragons' Den Canada

Entrepreneur and disability advocate Bruce Dean rode into The Den on his electric bicycle that doubles up as a mobility aid. He's seeking a $20,000 investment for 20% of his business, Ameri-CAN E-Chopper Bicycles. The bike is for anyone who wants one, and not just for the disability market, but it is an amazing way of opening up the world of bicycles again for people like Bruce.

Terrific pitch. Your business is worthy of expansion. Thank you, Wek for helping a business grow and allowing access for people who need your bikes. As a disabled woman, I'll watch for your tricycle

Really surprised none of the other dragons saw the potential for this. There are SO many people similar to this guy in North America. So so so many people. Those older dudes who love that biker orange county choppers vibe, and so many of them who have mobility issues. For just getting around, who wants to be seen in a mobility scooter? It's a pretty niche market, but I think it could have some quiet, but real success if marketed properly. Small deal, but a good one.

I want a trike version. It's a difficult one, he'd have to decide whether he wants to stop the disability, I guess that's the 'risk' he'd have to take.

Didn't say how it's charged or how long it lasts and how far it can go on a charge.
