Project Nebula is taking forever... but it's definitely worth the wait! The chrome tubes have been a complete pain to work with but the end result looks amazing.

ACER even paid for shipping. I sent it in, in a prepaid box that they sent me ahead of time, and they replaced the motherboard and send it back to me all good to go at no cost to me. So I guess, technically, it wasn't expensive at all.

my first diy build, nzxt h700 case, really nice hardware inside, $250 mobo, strix 2070, 32gb of 3600 ram, 360mm aio, took me 3 hours to build it, and waire up all the rgb in a neat way, sat it on the kitchen counter which sits about 5 feet off the ground and as i turned away it fell face first onto the tile floor, ripping the gpu out, shattering the glass, and for whatever reason the ram no longer worked anymore, mobo was done for, only things i had left were 2 ssd's, hdd, and the aio/fans

This look is incredibly clean. I do have to say, for me personally, I like the utilitarian loops where the pipes run exactly where they need to even if it means odd angles or one strangely long pipe running across nearly the entire system...pretty sure you guys get what I mean. I'm also a fan of the loops that look like there is almost no tubing what so ever. My current build is a totally utilitarian loop, my next I want to hide everything, just two pipes taking a short run to and from the CPU block being the only runs seen.

I happen to really like the clean industrial aesthetic with such an over the top and awesome case. Love LianLi cases because they are so over the top in a good way and your build is doing them JUSTICE here. I know there is plenty left to do that will change the way it looks and how I feel about it bu the time it is finished. But I love the direction you are going and it just goes to show that you can have something innovative and eye catching without having to light it up like a Pink Floyd Laser show (which I am a fan of before anyone gets the wrong idea). There is just something about fine, well thought out craftsmanship that a piece of metal can evoke human emotion and attachment. I cant wait to see how it turns out. I used to watch much more of the TechTuber style stuff like you, Barnacles was still active at the time (well active for him, would still like to see the man tomorrow more), Tek Syndicaye before they split, and of course Linus. But these days the videos just dont catch my attention or get my views like they for whatever reason, but this build series has had me more interested and watching more stuff again. So the TL;DR is I love what you are doing with this build, it's one of your best and depending on how it finishes, it might be the finest machine you have built (in my humble opinion at least, and I have seen quite a few of them, and have not always seen eye to eye on what you think looks cool which will happen, but this is a good one). Finish it and to it right. Dont let it get rushed.

Gorgeous tubes and tubing ! ❤❤❤ THAT'S hot I'm going to do mine too. It just looks perfect. And I do mention that I don't mind no transparent RGB tubing in favor of chrome ones or similar. I've done quite a few loops in my previous systems but I always preferred 'clean water' + anti bacterial additive for longer period of utilization, and for me hating the gunk-up and the more periodic cleaning sessions. The only main difference on my system will be that I have a Phanteks Enthoo 719 formerly known as Luxe 2 (Thermaltake DICKS), and I don't want to make holes in my case so I'll have to make us of the Phanteks Distro Plate, but the finished tubing will still have a clean look. And if I'll have to route the tubing to the front and/or front side I'll utilize the power supply shroud for routing the tubing behind it. I have quite a lot of space there because I don't have the HDD caddies installed and my power supply is a pretty compact Seasonic Focus Gold 750W unit.

So I've recently got into the tech world, I've dabbled here and there but mostly been console gamer. I'm currently pursuing my A+ cert and I've just been watching all of your videos and I love it! It's really sparked my interest and made me crack open my system...and realize how outdated it is... Anyway keep up the great work!

JAY! A trick that I found out a couple years ago is to put a tablespoons or so of dishwasher detergent in the initial fill of the cooling loop. It has all of the anti-foam and lubricity agents so it can run and not induce any foam/air into the pump and still have a good scrub of all the residue from plating.

That is a very clean build. "CLEAN" is the exactly appropriate word. I'm doing a 4 x 1080ti, deep learning machine right now in a Thermaltake Level 20 GT with potentially 2 separate loops (still brainstorming measurements and looks) and it will look cool with all the RING Plus fans and everything matching, but it has no chance of being even close to as clean as this build. I would love to do something like this build in a year or two for my office machine. However, I will likely never get around to that because I put my personal office computer on the backburner and never get around to it!

I'm not the biggest fan of the exterior look, but the interior is making me drool right now. Minus my particular preference for the exterior, everything is just so clean and beautiful (including the exterior lol). Really an amazing build all said.

EK released the D-RGB upgrade kit for the 2080 Ti FTW3 waterblock a couple days ago. The LEDs are so much better looking and they are addressable, it would look killer in Nebula!

This is a perfect example of something that is so unique, so meticulously designed to achieve perfection that breaks the barrier of utility. This is no longer a computer or a simple PC that ordinary people buy complete in stores or assemble parts in their homes as pragmatically and economically as possible to justify their usefulness. just like a limited-series Ferrari where very few were made just to the delight of the eye of those owners who will never use these cars in their daily lives to be what they were made of. that is, we will never marry perfection with the practice of the use of things made by the hands of man.

  • @rikwisselink-bijker

You can also use that leak tester that Linus used a while back: pump air in there and see if the air pressure drops after an hour or so (or shorter). If something is air-tight it will be water-tight (the reverse is not always true). It's a leak test without any damage if there are leaks.
