I have tried different steamed chicken recipes n this is the best. I cut down the amount of salt n steamed for 15mins. It's really delicious n my family loves it! Thank you for the recipe!

蒸四十分鐘太久,肉汁都跑出來成了蒸雞湯。還有蒸雞要嫩必須加生粉或玉米澱粉和少許油醃製鎖住水分,直接蒸不行。
可不可以先把鸡蒸熟了再把蒜蓉调料加进去?这样蒜蓉味更香。

No, adding the garlic while steaming will infuse the flavour into the chicken. Doing after wont allow the chicken to soak up that flavour.
一定要蒸至全熟。天氣熱容易變壞。

I throughly watched this video and to be honest this is probably one of most complicated steam chicken dishes I’ve ever seen. If you’re going to cook a chicken like this you may as well skip the steaming method and just braise it and use a cornstarch slurry to keep the chicken from shrinking so much after 40 minutes of cooking.

鸡肉清淡做法的,加蒜不搭,特别是好鸡加蒜更不搭,姜葱就行了。
As a fan of ginger scallion chicken, I made this garlic steamed chicken and it was utterly inedible. I like garlic, but after taking one bite of the cooked chicken I spat it out. I thought that steaming the garlic with the chicken would take the sting off the garlic but it didn't and everything just tasted like raw garlic. Awful.
