You should try it in Hungary. Its really similar, a chimney cake. Some places have it filled, but most you find stands selling these on corners of streets. It’s a traditional hungarian Christmas dessert. Also it’s called “kürtőskalács” in hungarian. I reccomend it so much

I think that the original is from Hungary. In Prague it's just overpriced tourist trap
@romanpohanka1886
9 ай бұрын
The original is actually from Romania. It then got carried over through Hungary to Slovakia and Czechia. Czechs turned it into a tourist trap while Slovaks applied for a UNESCO patent for one of their special versions of the trdelník, the "Skalický trdelník".
You got 'Czech' this out! 😂 😂
These are what I look forward to most when I go to Prague.

Trdelník - Trdelníky (plural in Czech)
I can agree Czech has the best deserts it's amazing you need to try
As a Czech, your pronunciation of Trdelník made my day
When I tasted that dessert, I felt like I could eat it all day and oh boy the amount of sugar they added my dessert!
Pls try svíčková and guláš, i love that food. And yea try kuřecí řízek best when you don't know what to eat :) In Czech republic there are much grazy things explore all pls it is worth it

Trdelnik is normally without the cream. You can pick almonds on it or so. I didn’t know this even existed and im from Slovakia!(we have Trdelnik)
As a Czech, I can say that we love these. Thank you for visiting our lovely country. ❤🇨🇿

I'm happy you like it, i'm from the Czech republic, but... Trdelník is not traditional. There are many great traditional czech desserts like věneček, větrník, or kobliha, which is basically donut without hole, but trdelník is a bit of tourist trap, you can get it even in Slovakia and Hungary.
you have to try a Portuguese egg tart from straight Portugal. i would love if you’d go to portugal
Let's go!I used to live in the CZ and This is also my favorite desert! It is actually pronounced "Tr-del-nyik". So happy to see this here! Have an amazing day yall!

The best trdelník is actually the original one which is made on fire (im from Slovakia and we Love trdelník here)
By the way original traditional trdelník comes from the Slovak town of Skalica. So trdelník is from Slovakia.
Unfprtunately, these are not Czech
Amazing pronaunciation 😂😁 Thank you for visiting us 😍
Thanks for noticing my country they have a lot more delicious mouth watering snacks there and this year I’m going to Prague city
I live in Prague and I know that trdelník is not traditional but I love them
Trdelník is not Czech
As a czechian ur pronouciasion of our lovely desert is better than a lot of the tourists:)
It used to be a tradition to eat one of this things after receiving confirmation (I'm from Northern Italy. The dessert is called Buzolà), but there are way better desserts and I'm really glad we don't eat it anymore. I personally find it not so good.
I caantt😂the way you sayed it😂 Btw im from czechiaa❤❤🇨🇿

never knew we had desert´s in prague but thank you for showing it :D
"you Gotta 🇨🇿 this out" perfect match 👌👌👌
we have a shop here in Lebanon that sells the exact thing but named as conut instead and I thought it was the dessert name before watching your video. it's so delicious 😋
That dessert looks so delicious. The shops where you are are lovely. I hope to visit someday.
I am from Czech republic. And i eat it many times.🇨🇿🇨🇿
Im from Serbia and we have something similar to this its called "Serbian chimney" and instead of cream you can choose from so much chocolate spread
just love your video so much lol keep it up 😂
Im literally going there next week for spring break and I am so excited
im from czech republic and im so happy you visited our country and i love trdelnik too 😊
Im from 🇸🇰 ..and i eat it EVERY year. Its 🤌✨delicious✨🤌
How many times have u seen this? People from Czech Republic: YES
POV: me from Czech Republic "that is my country 😌" Thank you for visiting Czech
I CAN'T STOP LAUGHTING HOW U PRONOUCED IT😭💀 but it Is good ya love ur videos
I love them I tried one when I went to Czech Republic
Love from Czech Republic. Alsooo, trdelník may be good and all but it is actually not this traditional food all of the shops have on their shop. It’s mainly for tourists.
We have this in Slovakia too
I agree, i am from Czechia and when i was in a village called Czech Krumlov there was alot of "Trdelník" shops and it tasted way too good.
Honestly I have never finished eating one😂 Thank you for visiting Czech Republic!❤ I still cant get over hoe you said it, but unleast you tried!😂
That trdelník is mostly without ice cream, mostly Its only dough with sugar and cinnamon, and it is the best trdelník in that variant, in our village we had it for long time and it was perfect

To jak řekl trdelník mě dostalo 🤣 The way he said t r d e l n i k got me
I've been literally everywhere when he films about Prague
I swear when I visited Prague I went to that very shop and got a Trdelnik
That looks delish. Love your jacket!
Who else here is from the Czech Republic.
this dessert has many names, for example in the Polish mountains bordering the czech republic we eat "kołacze"
Thank you- from The Czech Republic🇨🇿🇨🇿
"Trndelnik" lol I can't
Btw this is a Slovak dessert from a city called Skalica
Thanks mate,hello from Czech
Well it's good to know the ice cream has improved. After the fall of the USSR in 1989 Prague was just beginning to recover. There was a line a block long for ice cream. Flavor was "green", but people seemed to be enjoying it. Myself and 5 Canadians I was traveling with ordered a scoop. The only flavor was spoiled milk. One lick and we all had our tongues hanging out like in a cartoon, to keep the taste away, and we all threw them away.
I'm from Czech republic and I love trdelník.😍
I tried this and I got TWO! It was so good that I couldn't stop.
This is actually more polish than czech and itd only in the tourist areas of prague. You wont really see normal czechs eating it, so much so that many czechs havent even had it once in their life. You should try candle sauce instead :) its pretty good.
@EffanLaw
5 ай бұрын
Specifically, the egg bridge has a lot of these treats near it though other tourist areas have it too ig 😅
It’s weird to imagine that i can have it everyday and don’t think much of it, and you: MMMMMMMMMMM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOD FOOOD
im glad you visited our country!
I was in Prague and it was really a good desert!
Thats what i through 🤗 i knew Czech has really yummy food
Please try czechia beer and our food in normal pubs, it is really good!!!!
You should visit Warsaw, Poland. And you should definetely try our Pierogi!
Ok, but if u eat it without many toppings in the winter, ITS AMAZING Idk if its the warm dessert during the freezing season of smith but it just hits different
Niiice, the original is actually served by its self, just the dough, and it's actually a slovak food but it doesn't matter, we were czechoslovakia, and you should try the slovak version from its homeland Skalica in Slovakia ( Skalický trdelník), and come to taste slovak natinal food( if you haven't yet) "bryndzové halušky"
it varies alot, but oh boy on christmas you cant go 3 meters in Prague without seeing a trdelník stand, also they are very different, u can get a super dripped out one like u got, or u can also get a plain one which also has its charm
I am from Czech and I love the desserts there
i’m an idiot that came from Czech republic, and i can confirm that ✨Trdelník✨ is almost everywhere, except i’ve never seen a trdelník with ice cream with it tho😭
My man loving that you vysited 🇨🇿 👍🙂
Thank you for making a content that is from Czech Republic i may be far Away from Prague but its an 3 hour Car drive there
I like a similar looking dish from Hungary called Kurtos that I think has the same origins and taste. The flavour without any toppings is vanilla but I like it with sugar and nuts or coconut and lts much bigger. You must try it in Romania cuz there is where I am from ❤
When i went to prauge, this was the very first thing i ate. SOOO tasty
I've just realised he like always starts his videos with what the heck
In Romania we do the same dessert but longer and with other things onstead of sugar on the outside
