Hello, I'm visiting prague in november 7-11. Could you please suggest what clothes are appropriate with the weather there? Currently, we're still going to the beach in my country. I live in Albania

Why don’t you also comment that after you activate the ticket on the app you have to wait two minutes to be really valid and if they catch you on the entrance they will fine you even if is a system created by them , why don’t you also say that in andel for example you activate your paper ticket on the entrance and need to go downstairs for at least one minute and sometimes wait for 5 minutes metro that makes you use 25 out of the 30 minutes that you bought. If you don’t tell the truth your video has 0 credibility, you do a good work spotting the foreigner scams on your country. Why don’t you start to spot the scam the metro from your country do with foreigners? Why don’t you talk about the controllers that act as they are sheriffs or detectives trying to embarace people. I am waiting for that video.

Anybody else thinks every city/capitol needs a guy like this? He must be in line for some tourism award surely! All I rememeber from Prague is tourists traps but he makes me want to go again

Was just saying to my partner, I'd love to do it here in Ireland!
Me and my brother used the app last time visiting. Got checked 2 times in the metro. The guys looked partly grumpy that we had a ticket and partly impressed we used the app.
Arrived in Prague today, without these guys we would have been at a total loss, from the 119 bus to the metro was a breeze. Just need to mention don't use Vodaphone dispensing machine at airport, saw a few people pay but didn't get their data package, rather use the Relay shop upstairs in Terminal 2, thanks guys ,I only paid half price for bus ticket, I am over 60
My husband introduced me to your channel, and it’s so varied and interesting, I confess to not being as invested in the scamming stuff, but we watch every Sunday. Never been to Prague but looks beautiful. Your presenting plus the camera work is excellent. Thank you

Would be wonderful if you made a guide to the Christmas markets as the season is quickly approaching. I will be one of the tourists that will visit them and would really really appreciate some tips and tricks like which markets are better, how to get there, public transport during that time, etc.

Check out a video on the channel Real Prague Guides called Prague Christmas, it has some useful tips
I just spent four wonderful days in Prague and I used many of The Honest Guides helpful tips. Everything from how to get from the airport to city centre to the best place to change money. I made sure to eat at Linda’s Cafe, (Alfredo Cafe) also U Maleho Glen Irish Pub and had a fabulous hamburger at The Black Dog Cantina. I even had some coffee and cake at Olivers Cafe before riding the old tram. Thank you very much to the Honest Guides for helping me enjoy my first and certainly not my last trip to the beautiful city of Prague.
Its good to know that if you're over 65 you get discount tickets also in Prague castle, museums, and towers
Fun part on the map: As I was in Sweden, I picked my map from....the ground. Tada! Ok, it was in French, but still useful... So indeed look first for a map on the ground before you buy one.

Reuse is awesome, but in Sweden you can get a map for free at most hotels. There's no need to buy one, unless you're going way out in the countryside.
Oh and the Technical Museum was a neat find, went there based on your suggestion! Lots of people were in the main hall with the plane, trains, and automobile, but the sides of the building had so much more neat things. My favourite part was the astronomy section with all the old telescopes! And NO ONE was there
We went to the zoo for our first time last month and it's SOOO COOL! And it's massive! We are from Cincinnati and we thought our zoo was big but this place blew us away lol. Plus walking in the open bird enclosures was fun, and the wallabies was neat too!
I have been to Prague many times over the years. Always some fine tips to get from the Honest Guides. In this episode I think it shows what fun they have making the episodes. See you all in Prague in November !
Coming to Prague on Friday and your guides have been tge basis for our trip. Thank you 😊
This is honestly one of your best videos - ever! Informative and full of humour,.Thank you
There is for free also the military museum in Žižkov, Prague. Its reconstructed and the exhibitions there are excelent.

Janek & Honza, very well done! I love this style with all these hidden treasures. Looking forward to our next stay in Prague :-)
About the National Bank exhibition. There is a mandatory security check before entering the bank floor. So just don't get angry if they try to turn you away. They might ask you about the reason for entering, just tell them you are going to see the exhibition.
My favourite free thing in Prague was devoting a day to all the weird statues. The Vodník was the coolest, really close to the Charles bridge.
If I ever get to Prague, I'd love to visit some of the places you've shown on your channel. I really enjoyed the bank exhibits with the expensive gold coin and gold bar. That 8 ton door was impressive too.
Well I finally booked. I had to laugh at one review on Airbnb. The guest gave 5 stars saying a short walk from the apartment you'll find a robbery! I switched the auto translate back to original Korean, took a photo, ran it through Google Lens and I learnt that I'll actually find a river 😂

Restaurace Stoleti. Great value 165 CZK (6.7€) for daily special for beef stew or chicken schnitzel. 5 minute walk from Charles Bridge. Cheaper than the cafe bistro 19 nearby. Fast service. Free tap water given (if with some surprised look from the waiter). Went at 1:30 pm so may not do special after lunch time.

I'm here at Prague Oct 22th, this video comes right on time! Last night I went to have dinner at Mincovna Restaurant and yes the dinner menu it's a bit expensive, I spent $58 dollar for two plates and 2 drinks. Which it was worthy, the food was delicious. So now I have to go and try their daily menu 😂

A lot of restaurants display their daily menu on their website (in Czech).
Yep Daily Menu we also have it in Barcelona. (And the whole Spain).
I haven't been there in a couple of years, so the features might have changed a little, but the PID app is soooooo awesome. You can also buy single tickets for a set amount of time (which the app tracks for you) and you can plan a trip and the app figures out which tram/bus/etc to take and tracks the trip and all the stops for you. Hands down one of the most useful apps I've ever used anywhere. And big thumbs up for daily menus!

do you know by any chance where can I find a list of discounted places with a pass ticket?
If you go to CAMP, make sure you check out the Emmaus Monastery where Janek is standing on the terrace and is just a 1 minute walk. The original towers of the monastery were damaged during the war and rebuilt in a modern style.
I visited Czechia back in 2010 and really enjoyed it. As friends ask me for advice about touring Prague I now send them to your website. Great Job Guys!
3:41 look what people do to the castle.
this city never fails to amaze me!
Met you today in tram 9😊. love your content. Keep making the knowledgeable content
This was wildly informative and entertaining!
You just bring super infos! Thanks a lot!😊😊😊
Been to Prague around 15 times because I live in Berlin and its close,, but there is still so much to see! Amazing place. Thanks for th video
“The whole world is a map in a scale 1:1” Love it👍
Wow you have such good tips! That app seems like a great idea. And the daily meals. Thank you so much
Great tips, I've added that bank exhibition to my list and cheap food is always good
Oh my god, you just saved me SO much money! Thank you!
Disabled people also ride the metro for free. I was there last year with my best friend, who happens to be blind, and we were admonished by a fare inspector because my friend has a pass, he made us go get a refund for him.

Hany Bany near Staroměstská offers Happy Hour - tuplák (1 l) of beer for the price of normal 0,5 l - every day from 3 to 4 pm 😉 favourite bar of nearby studying people
I have all of this czech commemorative banknotes and it is amazing to see them in museum too!
2:45 The same can be done with another bikesharing company - Nextbike, so you can stack these up!
i may not be over exaggerating when i say that this guy maybe attracting at least 10% of the tourists to Prague. And I have been following him for like 3 years now and one day I will plan a wonderful trip and come to Prague..... It would be amazing if i could meet you guys🤩🤩🤩🤩
Another food based discount is with Bageterie Boulevard (a kind of chain that sells sub-like sandwiches all over Prague) - each day one specific type of Baguette is cheaper - its their version of the Daily Menu. But definitely love a lot of the tips here, I used a lot of them when I lived in Prague.

On a previous vlog. You introduced me to the Scoutski Institute around the corner from the astronomical clock . Great location Great prices. Went there during Christmas markets. Prices were very reasonable And supports Scouting. (I am an Eagle Scout) I hope more people utilize this great resource 😊
Amazing, thank you!!
You are great .. thanks for very useful video Keep more videos like this
love the content. Are you going to be restocking your websites store with your book again?
Oh boy, I was in an apartment very close to the national bank and I didn't know about it 😢 but a curious fact I found at its walls, there was Chopin's house where the national bank is nowdays.
I had no idea you can use Litacka for museum discounts. How do know which museums have it?
Hei! Thank you for hte info! I plan on visiting Prague soon, so this comes in handy :D A question about Lítačka app: Any card can be used? I currently live in Norway and in order to use the Public Transportation App, I need a Norwegian Card, because those are the only ones accepted.
Just brilliant!
You missed free museums like St. Cyril & Methodius Cathedral: Heydrich Terror Memorial , Aviation Museum Kbely and The Army Museum Žižkov

Amazing ancient architecture.
Hi! thank you for great videos. I have visited Prague 7-8 times but still watch your videos before going there 😃Can you please make a video how to spend new year day (31st of December) in Prague? I have booked a trip but now struggling to find affordable anything))) Thank you in advance🥰
What tower was that you went into, in this video, with that amazing view? Near the bridge

Ever since I watch your videos I wanna go to Czech Republic.
Another thanks to Janek & Honza for this video, and a hugh thank you to the people of Prague for having free over 65 transport - other cities of the world wake up this is a massive plus point for bringing in us pensioners. I was a bit wary that this was not going to be applicable to tourists but yes all transport (trams, buses, the underground and even the funicular up Petrin Hill) was FREE! The service is excellent, plenty of options to get you around the city, its clean, the people are polite (even in the morning rush hour) and the majority obey the rules - no pushing and shoving to get on like the dreaded London underground. Well done Czech Republic you can be proud of your transport system.
The national war/army museum is also free and a really nice one.
With all these tips, how can you not love this channel?
Just uploaded the transport APP as mentioned at the beginning of the video. I can see how to purchase up to a 3 day ticket 🎟️ but not a monthly one. Can this be done via this APP? Any helpful suggestions on how to get a monthly ticket 🎟️ via the APP would be appreciated.
Best think about daily menu is much quicker then meal from big menu.

I have been to Prague so many times but have not realized the daily menus are something to look out for.

Honestly the daily menu is often better than the regular food - especially the sauces and soups because they prepare them in large bathech and slow cook them. As a Czech, I nearly always choose the daily menu. The drawback is that, unless it is a vegan restaurant, they are mostly meat options or sweet options (which contain milk/butter).
I was pleasantly surprised 👍🏻 that it's possible to buy my book! Wooo hoo! Brighton and Hove Albion rule
All of it seems cool
Nextbike bikes are free with Litacka the same as Rekola.
anyone know until when the exhibition at the bank is on? :)
