Haha I fell for this tourist trap when we made a schooltrip to Prague. After I told them I didn't want it anymore when I found out it was only CBD they became really mad and told me to fuck off.
I jog through the castle twice a week during the summer. Worth it. Every time.

So check google reviews, look out for unnamed places and when they ask you what size drink get them to specific the literage or glass size
I was in Milan Last week and they also tried the bracelet scam on me. When I said I didn't want it they threatened to kill me. And 0 people helped me as well

I have TD Bank and i get fees refunded if i keep above 2500 on my checking account
I avoid most ATM outside my country and use credit card for most expenses. Too many scams from ATMs one is the exchange rate plus fee

All of Prague is overrated. I went in March and I have never been as bored on a holiday as I was there. Tourist traps, scammers, huge amounts of tourists and every street is lined with tacky gift shops. Is it pretty, sure, but that’s also about it - it’s just pretty.

It’s wild that there is a charge for pushing a button on a machine where the only thing you’ve done is push the button. This was a conscious decision and not a being tested thing.

Sad but it's the same everywhere. If you come to Brussels and go to eat, avoid "la rue des Bouchers / Beenhouwersstraat", at best you'll leave with your wallet empty, but in addition with salmonellosis or turista. There are a lot of amazing restaurants in Brussels, but not there. And Belgium is already VERY EXPENSIVE, therefore, avoid these "restaurants" at all costs.
Prague's a beautiful city, but I doubt I'll ever go back as long as it is in the state it is in. did not enjoy my time.

I don't know what is worse.. The scam or the shit stench there.. I am so glad that I don't have to stop there anymore.. Yes I even fill up gas before entering there when I'm driving through Europe

I’ve been in Prague twice. If you walk past like you’re a local (when really you’re a tourist), they seem to not bother you, and I haven’t been bothered once by doing this. I get by on a limited mix of Czech and English. Another tourist trap is the prices to see the exhibitions at Prague Castle (Hradschin). I paid for it once just to see what all the hype was about, and it was the worst 500Kč I’d ever spent.
