I don't think that was the issue. Sainsbury's local uses frozen doughnuts, most Sainsbury's make them fresh

sainsburys sells donuts in packs of five and man does it stay goof for a long while. my personal favourite is the custard ones

As a London resident I love Doughnut Time and Donutelier!! (And even Krispy Kreme is great for simpler less expensive kid of mood) I buy from Doughnut Time way more often than I should

The Donutelier pistachio donut is so so good I'm glad you liked it; with the Sainsbury's ones you definitely need to go as early in the day as possible

The first Donut is actually a pretty common thing in Germany (especially on Carnival) and it’s called “ Berliner” or “Krapfen” based on where you’re from

Yeah same in slovenia there is a celebration called "Maškare" it's similiar as halloween and the first donut is such a classic everyone eats it.

I’ve tried all of them apart from the Milly Bobby Brownie and they were SO good! Fun fact- The Donutelier shop where you got the pistachio donut, not only did I go to the same exact shop in the same location (I could tell by the interior), but I also got the same flavour donut as well!
