This is the Best CAMPING in the USA: ARKANSAS

This is the best camping in the USA. Located in the headt of Arkansas. Our lifestyle takes us deep into the Ouachita Mountains in Western Arkansas. We set up camp at our favorite spot, and hike to the Winding Stairs off of the Eagle Rock Loop trail. www.hikingproject.com/trail/7...
Later that day, we have a surprise guest stay one night with us! The next day Cody goes fly fishing for rainbow trout with our surprise guest before they leave. After Cody fishes, his dad and stepmother stops by for the afternoon for some rest and relaxation. We finish out the evening with two of our friends coming to camp with us, and Kellie cooking up an amazing meal!

I'm 73 years old and grew up camping every summer at Albert Pike. As a family, we hiked to Winding Stairs and many other places in the Ouachita. While in college, I hiked to the Winding Stairs many times and even camped under the overhanging rock. So many memories. Thank you for this video. I especially loved the history and the drone shots. I no longer hike due to health issues so enjoy living vicariously through younger folks videos.

It's interesting how the marketing of our natural wonders so overlooks certain regions. Your spotlight on this area, and the Ozarks, is opening the eyes of people who are not already in love with the region. My family settled there after the civil war and I return nostalgic whenever I can.

Great adventure with family, friends and good food in one of the most beautiful places on the planet and it is located in our beautiful Arkansas. Don't skip exploring Raven Branch, it's some unworldly beauty. It looked like Ireland or New Zealand, lush moss and fern on rocks as big as houses. Across the river, and downstream, from the cliff. I grew up in the Ouachitas, and miss it so.

@@rangerdoc1029 I was there in the early spring so it might not be as green in late summer. In his video, at 12 minutes, the swimming hole and cliff is shown. We ate lunch facing the cliffs, on the big slanted (orange) rocks, of novaculite chert. Across from the cliff we went downstream a few feet, maybe 50-100 feet, and turned left up Raven Branch. It is a very difficult hike, some parts goat trail! You will find it on some hiking maps for that park, may be from the Forest Service. Local people didn't use the 'Raven Branch' name, and were surprised when they looked at the map. Just their private swimming hole. Also, we hiked in to the cliff area over the mountains, long way, but circled back to the trailhead quickly on the Horse trail through the bottoms.

key lime pie, an American dessert that consists of a graham-cracker or pastry crust, a yellow custard (primarily egg yolks, sweetened condensed milk, and key lime juice), and a topping of either whipped cream or meringue. The sweet and tart pie reportedly originated in Key West, Florida, in the late 19th century. So now you know.

you can make very easy key lime pie using condensed milk and squeezing lots of lime juice in it, adding it to a baked pie shell (or graham cracker crust) and then refrigerating it for awhile to allow it to harden (or also called set). you can use lemon instead and then it becomes lemon “icebox” pie

That area has my vote for some kind of national status - park, monument, wilderness. I wish I'd known about it when I visited Arkansas. I was in the Ouachitas. 10:10. Great drone footage. Takes in the regional context. 24:50. Once when I was flyfishing at ni night, I caught a bat. It got tangled in my line 36:27 Mothman alert.

Key lime pie- Key limes are small have thin skin & are very round The pie was originally made easily in the Florida keys, when supplies were hard to come by Using canned sweetened condensed milk, the yolks of eggs from local chickens, the whites where used for meringue Yup the originals were baked
