I Was Bit By a Tarantula!

Camping in the Arkansas Wilderness we explore the abandon town of Forester, Arkansas. Cody gets bit by a tarantula. That evening Kellie cooks a spicy roast beef in the pressure cooker with mashed potatoes and collard greens.

We put money onto our truck. We put new control arms on both the front truck and then replaced new brake calipers, rotors and pads also we had to replace the the U-joints on both front drive shaft. Also replace left and right front lower ball joints. Also replace the oil pan and gasket. Had to get the transmission leak fixed as well.

And YES, there's venom, your thumb will hurt, but you'll be FINE. Tarantulas will "flick" the hairs off their abdomen if they feel threatened, and yeah, those HAIRS are NASTY. THANK YOU sooo much for the work you guys do on this channel. My new favorite. Your sticker is going on my truck. (Ginger Jim - "No Hurry No Worry RV" KZread)

A good item to have in your first aid kit is Emuaid cream. One cream for numerous ailments, including bites. Little expensive but it's good. Look up benefits of Emuaid cream. How do you treat a tarantula bite? Treating the Bite Wash the site with soap and water to minimize the chance of infection. Apply a cool compress or even an ice cube to induce numbness and reduce swelling. Apply a paste of powdered meat tenderizer mixed with water to reduce irritation. Apply a topical cortisone or Benadryl cream to reduce irritation; and be alert for allergic reactions. Neosporin is good to have.

You can make a baking soda paste for any kind of bite/ sting. You add a little bit of water to baking soda to make a paste. Put the paste on the bite/sting completely covering the area. Let it dry until it starts cracking and falling off then rinse the paste off. There should be no swelling or stinging and little soreness.

HOOKED! New sub to your channel heee ya! Your editing skills, make stopping watching HARD. I think, living in a tent would be hard, and this is coming from someone, who considers, staying in a 5th wheel at the beach for two weeks, every year, ROUGHING IT! Well, the pandemic, forced us to miss going to the beach, year before last; but, we went last July. Then, mid August, I got Delta, and was about dead before I even knew it. A two week hospital stay, fixed me up; but, I was a Longhauler. The reason, I even mention all that, is I think camping would be safe from Omicron. However, you still have to buy food and supplies, so there is no safety!😅 Really enjoy your channel!

20 yrs ago while building our house we counted around 25 tarantulas in 2 weeks. I had never seen one before then. Weird thing they were always traveling in the same direction toward a rocky ravine. We also had a pretty nasty winter that year, don't know if there is any connection with that. If they migrate or what🤷🏻‍♀️Totally freaked me out though. Since then we only see a couple every fall. You're the first person I've ever heard of being bitten😬Hope that recovered well. Oh...and love the new chairs👍

You can keep a vehicle after it’s been totaled. But it. Has to be declared a salvaged vehicle on the title. That reduces the value considerably Plus the only insurance you can get is liability. It happened to me. I kept the car because it had low mileage and was still mechanical in good shape. It just didn’t look pretty.

We don’t really need it in the south. It’s more for shade. The canopy works for rain
